I belive in God, but i was wondering, if God created us, and all the earth, how was he created and how did he create everything, what was it it all like w/o God, how can he just appear from thin air when there is no thin air, were does he appear from if there's nuthin to appear from, how did he create the universe and beyond, if there was never anything to create it from, if there was once no such thing as the universe, where did he create it from, was there sumthin before God, and if so how did he/she make stuff, where did God come from????????
if it helps, i belive in Christianity, and I'm a catholic (my parents are catholic, and i was brought up in a catholic church, but when i moved, i started goin to a non denominational church, i haven't been to church in about 7.5 months, and im thinkin about goin back to church so i wanted info)
if u don't know how to answer this, please just put ur input, like even if all u said was unexplainable i'd still rate ya a 3, unless i get a rude remark, i'll rate you a 3,4,or 5 usually i rate 4s and 5s tho!!
i've asked my really religious nayber, and she said God was always there, ALWAYS WHERE?
Additional info, added Tuesday July 13 2004, 1:09 pm: i kno it's a hard Q, but maybe u could explain ur beliefs on the subject or sumthin, i don't want an answer that says i don't really know, i want an answer that explains wut u belive, if u do say idk, then atleast make sumthin before it like...he was the world, he then decided to change it, and created everything, then again idk if thats tru, i sumtimes wondr also...
^even that would be good enuff, and i'd rate ya a 3 or 4^. Want to answer more questions in the Miscellaneous category? Maybe give some free advice about: Spirituality? Firefly answered Sunday September 19 2004, 8:07 pm: Well, the main belief is that God is this superiour, all knowing diety of goodness and supreme might, so if he's so powerful he could probably...I don't know, wish himself into existence. In science, it is taught that nothing can be created or destroyed, merely changed. So maybe God was there all along, and there really wasn't a period where there was absolutely nothing and he just molded us out of the un-nothingness after he came up with the idea. Katie answered Wednesday August 4 2004, 3:17 pm: what I believe is that God was just always there. He was never created or come out of thin air. He just was. That's how incredible He really is. He made the universe from His amazing power. It's hard to believe and hard to understand but only because God is too great for our limited minds to comprehend. Your neighbor was right. He is always there and here and everywhere. The answer to your always where question is everywhere. I know, I know - it sounds weird but really He has been. It's hard to believe but you have to have faith in Him. hope i helped! good luck and God bless!
Mercy_x_Me answered Wednesday July 21 2004, 3:53 pm: That is an awsome question. I find myself wondering that all the time. Your neighbour was right. God was ALWAYS there. Not anywhere in particular but just there as in creation. Its so hard for us to believe because we're just of this world, and while on earth we cant consume that information because we're used to things we see with our eyes and scientific proof. You dig? But if you really believe in heaven, what i believe is that once I get there I will suddenly understand it all, and it will be much clearer. Not alot about god is clear until we reach heaven, but once we do get there it will be so easy to understand. No one created God. He has always and will always be here, and not anywhere in particular, b/c he can be anywhere at anytime. I encourage you to continue going to church. Try asking your pastor, he'd have a good answer. If your church does have it, you should try joining up in a youth group. It can be so much fun and its a good way to meet friends.
hope ive helped
and if i havent, just ask me what ive left you questioning....
notnormal answered Sunday July 11 2004, 11:19 pm: I used to wonder about that, too. I thought - if God could just come from no where, then why can't the whole universe come from no where without God being involved? But they are actually both equivalent concepts.
Believing in God does take faith, and one of the best ways to build faith is to pray and look for answers, and to spend time with other people who have faith. [ notnormal's advice column | Ask notnormal A Question ]

And its so0o wierd, because like, I mean I dont have any clue how someone is up in that sky, making things happen. Not to be all like over board about it!
I go to church and everything but it so wierd how I feel about it!
"I Feel Like There definetly isnt one who is young gets killed, But then on the other hand when a miracle Happens I start to believe in God."
selectopaque answered Sunday July 11 2004, 8:25 pm: I've always had these kinds of thoughts, and it has lead me to not know what I believe. I'm torn. I believe in evolution, that all species on earth, plants, animals, humans, evolved from micro organisms over millions, (or is it billions) of years. But how would god fit into this.
When I was a teenager I went through this stage where I thought I was agnostic, not quite anti-christ, but just agnostic. I thought that I didn't believe in god and never would.
Now I don't say that I believe in god, but I don't say that I don't believe. I say this because I wasn't raised in a religious family (my mother was "spiritual", but didn't like organised religion or something) and I just don't know enough about any kind of religions to say whether or not I can believe in any.
My roommates are really religious, one of them being the son of a preacher, or priest, I'm not sure which you would call him. anyway, they have always believed that they need to "save" me. They think that since I don't believe in god, and therefore, don't beleive in heaven, then I will go to hell. But if I don't believe in god or heaven, then that means I don't believe in satan or hell, so where am I sopposed to go? I guess I will be a lost wondering ghost forever. I don't know.
But another thing about the "you don't believe in god, then you go to hell thing". I'm a really good person, I have morals, I care about all living things, so why should I be labelled as a bad person just because I don't know what to believe?
There's just so many things about religion that seem very sketchy. Maybe if I knew more about it then I would come to believe for certain, but at this point in my life I have not been convinced. I've always wondered, if god created us, then where did god come from... I have no answer to that question, because, like I said, I don't know. It's good that your wondering about these things and you can still keep your faith.
Sometimes I think that religion is still around because people need something to give them hope. They need to know that there's someone watching over them. And, even if it's not true, there is no god, and there is no heaven, I think that just having people believe in something, anything, gives them hope. Sometimes even I like to believe that theres someone watching over me, loved ones who have passed on or something, It just makes me feel a little better and a little safer... Even though, logically, and scientifically, it just doesn't seem like it could be true.
storageanddisposal answered Sunday July 11 2004, 3:50 pm: In this, the belief that God always existed is popular. Nothing existed before him, because he always existed. To be perfectlty honest, in most religions the theories on God's existence is the same. What separates them is how people percieve how God wants us to live. Muslims main difference from Christianity is that they feel Jesus shouldn't be worshiped, only God is holy enough to be. Some beleive God exists in everything. As to how he created the universe, well I couldn't tell you. I wasn't there. I think with true omnipotence he could just fabricate existence with a mere thought. Unlimitless power is a tricky concept to grasp, that's why several people choose atheism. It's easier to understand. Personally, I believe in the possibility that God exists, but only through the mouths of others can I learn about him. Which doesn't make sense to me, because all they know is what they've been told. With, of course, the exception of those claiming to have heard from God. Since I haven't, however, I'm not sure which version is the true version, or if there is one.
EsseNeminem answered Sunday July 11 2004, 3:41 pm: If that little bit fries your brain, try this.
God created everything, and he wants Everybody to be happy and prosperous, yet he created Satan, and evil exists. Try to roll that one over your tongue a bit. None of it fits together, it’s not meant to. Basically believing is just a Huge leap of faith, and you either have to do that, or choose to stop believing, because there is no way that more clarity can come to you. Most devout Christians and Catholics can't tell you why they believe, they just do. So if you want to, do, and good may come of it, but It’s completely on you, no one can help you with this, because it's all about your faith.
