Walden West is really fun! A lot of my friends work there, and a lot of kids go there too. There's a stream, cabins, campfires, etc. It's located in northern CA by the coast. You can look it up on yahoo.

if you get involved in the girl scouts, tuition towards camps is completely (I believe) taken care of. Speaking with scouting friends of mine, the camps are also really awesome and the friends stay with you.

I don't know where you live, so I can't really help you (a more specific description would be great) but if you live in the Bay Area, Pleasanton has lots of camps. It's near San Ramon, Livermore, and Oakland, a medium-sized town. They have a "catalog" of summer activities that they send out in the mail, if you make it there and go to the library, the building next to it should have some. (I used to live there.) Bonne chance!
