Fish answered Sunday July 4 2004, 8:24 pm: It depends entirely on your style. If you want something more minimalist, go for a really crisp white, although white usually looks best with the furniture matching it (it has a clean, open feel to it when you do that). If you want something really elegant, go for a deep purple, red, or green. If you want things to feel open but don't want white, go for a yellow. I always go for really vibrant colors and I like to have more than one in a room (my cousin and I can talk designing and paint stuff all day long) but I would go towards burnt oranges and reds with a really funky accent to something. Like if you have windows that are inset (I live in a basement so all of mine are) then paint the inside walls around the window a deep blue. You could also check out some really cool painting techniques like sponging, etc. It's all at hardware stores like Home Depot..places like that. [ Fish's advice column | Ask Fish A Question ]
xo_dream answered Sunday June 27 2004, 6:40 pm: It all depends on what feel you want your room to have and what YOU like. A friend of mine has a huge room, and she painted it a really pretty dark pink, and I think it looks gorgeous .. but I don't really know what you like, so I'd suggest just going to a place that sells paint and looking at the little color swatch things to pick one out. If you're unsure, just buy a little bit of the paint and paint like, one wall or a section of a wall, and then if you like it, you can go back and get enough for your own room, and if you don't, it's no big deal, you can just get another color.
sp4rklingr4in answered Sunday June 20 2004, 7:35 am: I've always liked white because no matter what kind of posters or acessories you'd like to hang on your walls, it will match with everything. Also, if you style changes in the next few years, white will be easier to adjust to rather than pink or a printed wallpaper. Even though white may seem a bit boring and run-of-the-mill, decorating it with posters, pictures, etc, will add just the right roomy touch to your living quarters. xOxTiAmoxOx answered Saturday June 19 2004, 2:01 pm: Well... it depends on how you are.. if your a preppy type you should get like a yellow with flowers or like light pink... but if you kinda sporty i think blue.. or if you kinda punk i think white or dark colors would work best...

cr8zymonkeyluv07 answered Saturday June 19 2004, 10:58 am: Bright colors (like white), usually make the room look big. Dark colors usually make it look small. I suggest picking out a color you really like, and going to Home Depot and picking a paint chip of a shade in the middle of that color. Hope I've helped some.
