High School
I am an 8th grader going into high school next year. I keep hearing about how the seniors always pick on the freshman and I don't want to get beat up! What should I do to stay away from the seniors? I'm 14/female if that makes any difference.

Dude, best advice : Don't be a smartass, stay out of their way. Now, I know not every senior is like that, 'cause I'm a junior, but better safe than sorry. Don't let your fear show, though, if they see it, your gonna be easier to pick on. Just avoid trouble. But don't let them walk all over you then they know they've won.

aww..yeah everyone's scared of that- most of the time nothing really happens, people just make up stories to intimidate little ones and it looks like it's working ..i've heard them too but when you go to high school nothing really happens...beacuse no one really takes that much time out of their own life to bother little ones befcause they have other things to worry about..grades, teachers, parents, sports, clubs, girlfriends...it most likely wont happen..you won't get picked on as long as you stay cool and be yourself...don't try too hard, it's very noticeable and they WILL notice...have fun- enjoy high school..it's the best 4 years of your life =] make friends, keep them, don't talk behind peoples' backs...just enjoy everything =] good luck!! hope i helped

i can relate to you in many ways i am going into high school too and i am just as scared as you are probably. Hopefully you already know some high schoolers but if not its always good to join a sport where you will meet new people. I would think seniors have better things to do then to pick on little freshman. Hope that helped even though i dont have much knowledge on the subject! :)

Normally, seniors really don't pick on the freshman, you can't even really tell. Your school might be dif. but, I suggest just staying out of their way and not acting dumb or freshman like around them. Hope everything goes well next year. (p.s. the chances are less if you are a girl).

ok i was a frosh last yr and sum of the best friends i made were seniors. u just have to be frieds with the rite people. im not sayin that all of them r nice, but i mean i got teased to, but i was friends with them and i knew they were just messing around. if anyone says anything u dont like just ignore them. they like it when u get mad so just laugh and act like u dont even care. ull be fine trust me. maybe ull be like me and even go out with a senior or two.
