Boring room.
Okay, my room has been essentially the same way since 6th grade, and I'm gonna be a senior in the fall. I can't paint or wallpaper my room because my mom's allergic to all the paints and all the wallpaper glues. I also have a bit of a budget problem. My dad's unemployed and my mom can't work because of her allergies. I just can't seem to get a job because there's nothing around here that's hiring.
Anyone have any ideas as to what I could do to this place? My bed has to be against an outer wall...if it isn't, my dad's snoring, like, shakes the bed.
(Laugh if you want; it's funny, but it's also true. It sucks.)

make something. I'd go out in the garage, grab some old stuff that nobody wants and make something abstract. Go to flea markets and get some old bottles or cool mirrors- you can find a LOT of stuff that's really cool there and it's always cheap, you just have to get out there early. If you have some hooks, (this is something I've always wanted to do) space them out across your ceiling and drape Christmas tree lights across. It makes a really nice glow when you turn the lights off.

You should get like some average poster paint or whatever and paint a mural. If your mum's allergic to that then do it in small sections with the door closed so that it doesnt affect her. Make a big picture and stick it on your wall and put posters up etc etc. get funky sheets/throws/blankets etc and put them on your bed and hang them on your walls. I hope this helps :) good luck, RC.

Okay, keyword here..Walmart!! They have tons of cheap but good things you could put in your room. Like the other advisors told you, get a hobby and get creative from there. But go to like Walmart or another store where stuff is good and cheap price wise. Good luck!

hey try finding pictures your like and put then over your walls get a magizine and put pics or cute guys up buy cute items every now and then and put them in your room it will make a big difference on the way your room looks, and you won`t pass your budge or activate your moms allergys

What i dont understand is why your mom cant get something for all her allergies and why she cant work and why your dad is unemployed.. how do you afford anything? and for you working wash cars babysit help plants gardens mow rake shovel you can think of anything for all yr round-trix (please rate me)

Try a collage on your walls. I'm sorry if that sounds stupid, but I'm an artist, so I think it might be cool. I just filled my walls with artwork.

just try using stuff around the house or in storage that you never thaught was there its really neet what u can come up with just make up ur own trend or style and it may amaze some people or even ur friends oh and about the snoring keep ur bed to were it is not going to bother you good luck
