my friend has internet boyfriends and cuts herself...
i babysit this child whom is eleven. She is a very impresionable child, she goes on to the internet to meet boyfriends and cuts herself.what should i do?

Oh my gosh...lately I've been hearing a lot about people who cut themselves...I'm not going to lie...I've...actually done that once before. ...but it was NOT MEANT for the intention of suicide...I REGRET EVER DOING THAT...and I'm okay...I was never addicted to it...but...does this 11 year olds parents KNOW that this young girl cuts herself? This is not good. She's so young...she may not understand how badly this could hurt her emotionally and physically. You're best bet is to ask her about it..and if she lies to you about it then tell her parents/guardian...but the thing is...telling them may actually provoke her to cut herself more...trust me...you really can't stop her if she's totally addicted and WANTS to do it...you know what I mean? Yes, there is a way to help her but...you have to show her love...maybe she feels lonely...
Lonliness is all tied into her cutting herself and her "internet boyfriends" maybe at home she's not getting much affection. Maybe she just feels isolated...
do you know how her life in school is? Or with friends and family?? There's so many things that can be tied into this...
Does she have any problems she talks to you about? If she does try to work from there AND PLEASE keep me updated on this...I need to know more about how this turns out. I don't want this girl to cut herself. I literally cry about things like this almost every night. I know so many people who have cut themselves and it hurts to think about it...
Just please...talk to her...tell het guardians to put special parental blocks on the computer to prevent her from going in chatrooms and talking to random boys who she calls her "internet boyfriends".
These things can lead to serious consequences and please just let her know that you're there for her anytime she needs to talk, but also don't forget to set boundaries for her as her babysitter.

Tell her parents who can get her professional help. Cutting herself is not healthy at all, and is a way to ground herself into the real world. Don't dismiss the fact that she has internet boyfriends either. They may be on the internet now, but she may start to meet them in real life. If she cuts herself to ground herself in reality, she will need to see the people in person as well as another way to ground herself.

Ok totally tell her parents bc the cuts will get wrse! Plus if you dont this shadow of guilt will follow you if she gets hurt! Talk to her while her parents. Its probably best though if you let the rents take care of it! The excuse of 'well they pay the best and wont hirew me again' will come to mind but if you say something they will trust you even more! and will tell people and will trust you so much more! So no matter how bad the girl gets tell bc its worth saving a life!

Talk to her mother about it. Immediately. She's in a lot of danger here. If she's cutting herself, it's probably because one of her friends does it, and she could hit an artery and die. Also, she should not have an online boyfriend. Get your butt to her parents and talk to them the next time you're there.

You should try talking to her. If that doesn't work then you need to tell her parents. You might not be her favorite person for a while, but she will then thank you later. I hope everything turns out well.

Give her oven mits to put on her hands and tie use a rubber band so she wont take em off. And the boyfriends on internet is just a phase, she will get over it soon.
