You need to just talk with her, have a friendly conversation with her, don't move to fast...Some signs if she likes you or not Is If she Will stop thinking about school, just to talk to you!

*Cracks knuckles* Alright, lessee. You like the girl, right? She's quiet...she's prob'ly just shy. Shy girls never make eye contact with the guy they like. It's so cute (Ah, middle school luv...)Lol. Even if she doesn't act horridly shy around you and all that - ask her out. Even if she doesn't like you yet, she'll find it flattering and she might go out with you anyway. Give it a shot. You have nothing to lose. Make it casual so she doesn't get nervous. Example:
You:"So what are you doing this weekend?"
Her:"Nothing..."
You:"Me neither...hey, didn't that new movie just come out?" (Or something like that)
Her:"Yeah, [insert name of movie here]"
You:"Wanna go see it?"
It's just that easy. Good luck, Romeo! ;)

OK. Don't ask her out online because that is tacky and it is showing that you are too embaresed to ask her face to face or on the phone. If you don't want to ask her out in person call her on like wednesday afternoon/evening and ask her out. If you want to do it in person ask her afterschool on wednesday or thursday. Don't do it during recess or anything because it will be uncomfortable if you are in the same next class or it will look pathetic if you are in different classes. Hope it all works out!

Here-To-Help answered Saturday March 27 2004, 9:43 pm:
I like a 14 year old boy, and I'm going to be 14 in a week, although he is 30 days older than me he is in 7th grade and I am in 8th grade. I am not a very outgoing person and from experience, I know that people like me don't drop hints to boys often...
People have asked me out...not much or anything, but I said no. Not because I was shy in front of them, but because I liked someone else. Does she talk to you at all? Just because she doesn't talk to you doens't mean she doesn't like you...just go for it. Ask her out. If you see her upset one day ask her "What's the matter?" and maybe she'll respond.
I have more advice but instant messenge me or email me if you need it okay? Sorry but if you ask more questions directly towards me I'll be able to answer better.

Hope this helped.

P.S. Don't listen to AdviceChick...
What she said about girls putting on makeup in front of guys isn't necessarily true..it all depends on their personality...
Especially if they're a SHY person, then they probably most likely WILL NOT put on makeup and try to get a guy they like to notice them.
(no offense AdviceChick)

Talk to her like you would talk to any friend. Gradually, become good friends with her, and try to pick up signals if she likes you or not. If you can't pick up any signals, say that you admire her. But don't just come right and say I LOVE YOU!!!! It's a tricky game and it takes a LOT of time. But become friends with her before you make your move. Things will be a lot easier that way.
