Well that is alot of money and the mom would most likely say yes and give you $25 but she is also put underpressure so that maybe why she'll say yes so you may need to think about that and she does have to pay alot of money to care for the baby herself-trix

well, it depends on how long ur babysittin, I usually get $5 an hour, so i guess thats aight, but if u watch them more then 6 hours (sum ppl only pay $3 per hour) then u are definitly underpaid, since it's one kid, u should ATLEAST get $3 an hour and if the parent knows the kid is wild she should give u ATLEAST $5 and hour

i babysit for this one sitter, and the only reason i do it is b/c she's my mom's Best Friend. But she can't get ANYONE b/c her children ARE 2 WILD N CRAZY BOI'S!!!!

so she pays me like $8 an hour and if i stay all day then she gives me like $80 for anywhere between 7-9 hours, so if she thinks her kid is a lil angel, then just accept between $3-$5 an hour, bc u dont wanna go upsetting the parent

but if u get underpaid, u should bring it up, this one lady only gave me $5 for 5 hours i refused to babysit and i got all my friends to also say no (plus she also asks us to do chores around the house, and she has 2 wild kids) so now she pays $6 an hour

sorry that i wrote a lot, but it all depends on wut else is goin on!

i think 20$ a day is very resonable...when i babysit i get 15$ a day and i am fine with that but if u feel that u deserve more money then just go up 2 her and say u think u deserve more money...if u have douts about it them i would say stay where u r becuz thats a very good amount of money for one child per day

i reallyl go with would of liked more information
but ill give it wut i got. you accepted the job probably knowing the amount of money and the child if you knew both then you probably know wut u got yourself into. explain to the mother the problems and maybe she can help.

you should keep your job that is more than i get a week with my parents. You can always blackmail that kid. Tell him that he broke something of your and you will tell his parents or tell him that he said a bad word and that you will get him in trouble if he doesnt listen, but never take advantage of that power and always treat the kid nicely. if you have any other questions im me at bebexoxox@aol.com

It reallly depends if she is rich or poor and ask her if her kid is difficult for her and if she says yes say he is really difficult and ask for more and if she says no say just wondering if I could get payed more.

20$ sounds good to me, maybe you could calm the difficult kid down i remember when i used to babysit the kid was a horror and wouldnt sleep then i found a way, i bribed him lol! i said i would make up a story for him if he was in bed by a certain time or go to shop for sweets if he was quiet and good for a certain amount of time.
If you babysit everyday or many days a week maybe you should ask for a small rise of a couple of $'s

good luck

If I were you i'd stick with what you're getting at the moment. Unless this kid's the reincarnation of satan himself then $20 a day is a good rate.

You should be happy most people dont even get that much i only get 25 a week and i get 20 everyday i would take your job any day. Stay at your rate and if it gets to difficult and you feel like you need more money ask them 4 a little more. I hope you get more money we all need it.

Logic-Man answered Sunday March 21 2004, 6:44 pm:
20 dollars a day is a good amount, here I am with a steady allowance of 20 bucks a month and you whine about 20 bucks a day. Granted, you might not have an allowance, in which case I apologize, but I fail to see where 20 bucks a day isn't enough. I'll need to know what exactly is hard about raising this kid.
