Okay, most of the people answering this are assholes. Folks, you don't know anything about this person or why they might have run away.

To the person writing, if you get this, scroll down to "alpha"'s answer and call the Nat'l Runaway Switchboard. They have helped people I know.

Whatever your situation, you need to call someone for help. I lived in Oregon for a few years and knew too many teenagers who were living on the streets. It is not something you want to try.

I don't know what you are running away from, but for now you need someplace safe to sleep and adults you can trust. There are people out there who can help. If you are in Portland and need a place to stay, try going to Outside-In. They are on 13th St. downtown, just by the freeway. Whatever you do, call the number that alpha gave.

running away from your problems won't help anything. I think that you should defidently go back, because it can be very dangerous. Good luck!

Please, your 13 years old. Go home . How will you
get a job? Where are you going to live ? You can't support yourself moneywise . I know you feel
you know what, but your life is hanging in the
balance . Explain to your parents why you ran
away . You ran away from home trying to run away
from your problems, but now you have big problems .
You should really go home . Canada's currency (money) is different from the U.S. Do you know
french or German language ? Well these languages
are spoken most oftenly in Canada . Rmember, U.S.=Democracy . Canada = Constitutional Monarchy.

Logic-Man answered Sunday March 14 2004, 9:10 am:
Be totally honest, did you really believe anyone would tell you to keep running? You're just a stupid teenager (no, not stupid as in you're an idiot, as in you're a teenager who makes stupid decisions based on over-dramatic emotions). So you were angry, big ****ing deal. Five bucks says it wasn't any real problem. If it was, fix it. You're not going to make it to Canada. You're screwed over enough as it is, and your parents are probably worried-as-hell about you. Go back, another fiver says the miss you. There's nothing to be so angry about as to run away. You should've thought more about this, anyway. You're totally screwed over for the rest of your likely much shorter life is you keep running. Go back. I implore you to return home.

You're thirteen, go home. What are you gonna do whan you get to Canada? Where are you gonna live? how are you gonna survive? you may be in trouble when you get home, but it can't be worse than what you're dealing with now.

Please, please call the National Runaway Switchboard at 1-800-621-4000. It's toll-free, available 24 hours. They will not tell your parents where you are, but they will help you develop a plan of action that's right for you. (If you want it, they will even arrange a free Greyhound bus ride home.)

And you are probably a lot less fucked if you go back than you think. I don't know anything about your family, but I'm pretty sure they care a lot more about getting you back safely than they do about why you left.

PepeLePew answered Saturday March 13 2004, 2:36 am:
Well, why did you run away? If you were "just mad", i'm sure you could have solved your problems in a better way.

Where are you staying at? Hotel?
Who are you with? Strangers?
How are you getting the things you need or want?

Did you think about all of that when you ran away, or going to? What were your thoughts?

I don't know if you should go back to your house or not...for i don't know much of the background story and all. If you were just mad, however, go back. Sure you'd get in trouble, but it might be for the best.
