boys and girls club, youth leagues, etc. also, guys don't take losing to girls very well. i'm not against you playing but beating him at something he loves to do may have the opposite effect than the one you want. try impressing him with maturity or intelligence as well, and not just sports. also, try to let him win every once in a while
=)
good luck

Dear Homeschool:

Check your city or county for associations that sponsor teams. In the city I live in, there is an association in each area where there is a elementary, junior and high school that sponsors basketball, football and baseball to anyone who lives in the area. The participants don't have to go to the school, just be in the right age group and there is a group for all ages up to 18. Also, check your local YMCA, Boys & Girls Club or Church groups. These are great sources for finding teams in your area. I wish you luck and many winning games.

It depends on the area, but most cities and towns have leagues for kids who want to play with people from other schools and such, i.e. non school-related sports. You could also look online for martial arts or dance classes in your area; just do a google search. One of my friends is home-schooled, and she's still a very active soccer player. I suggest looking up the sports teams in your area, depending on what sports you want to play. But play them for yourself, because you'll lose interest if the sports are solely for a crush.
