HI, there,
I am writing to ask for some simple legal advice.
On the 18th February, I sold a phone to someone in Indonesia. Before i sent the parcel, I recieved payment through paypal, and transferred the money directly into my bank account. Although this takes 7 days to clear, so by tomorrow the amount of £360 should be in my account.
However on sunday morning, I recieved an email from paypal, saying :-
Dear Elizabeth Shaw,
It has come to our attention that you may be the recipient of potentially
fraudulent funds. We have initiated an investigation into this event. In
the meantime, we have placed a pending reversal on the funds in question
until the investigation is complete. This pending reversal will show as a
deduction in your available balance. In the meantime, you are free to
continue transacting using your PayPal account.
Transaction Date: 18 Feb. 2004 06:55:11 PST
Transaction Amount: £360.00 GBP
Payor's Email: Nettie823@hotmail.com
If you have not delivered the goods or services related to this
transaction, we ask that you delay or stop delivery until our investigation
is complete as you may be liable for the amount in question.
To assist us in our investigation and to determine if you qualify for the
Seller Protection Programme, please send an email to
pending_reversal@paypal.com with the following information:
1. The item, service or purpose of the purchase, and the associated value
2. The name and address given to you by the sender (if an item was
purchased)
3. If posted, the delivery company used, the dispatch date and the
tracking number for the goods
4. Details of any other transactions related to the transaction(s) in
question
5. A phone number where you can be reached during the day and evening
6. Insurance information, if applicable

I replied to paypal immediately with all the information they required and unfortunately i was unable to stop the package being delivered to the buyer.
Paypal have no told me that i do not meet their protection policy and that i am liable for the debt of £360.
You received funds that were reported to be potentially fraudulent. You
were notified as soon as the report was received. However, as you
shipped to an unapproved country you will not be covered by the Seller
Protection Policy.

What i need to know is, do i have to make this payment, especially if its been cleared and has entered my bank account. I have cancelled all payments to paypal for the current moment in time. Am i liable to this debt, and is it my responsibilty to pay it??

hi my name is angel and i want to know if this person really likes me in another way then friends because were good friends and i'm confused i mean we talked to each other all the time but he says things that sounds like you look really nice in that and your'e such a sex symbol and you are really atractive person thts why guys like you and lovely and caring mature person.
And he always touches me and say's we have good sociable time and can imagine to see each other bumping in 10 yrs time etc...
And he looks at me deep down my eyes and he says sometimes say i look smart when i'm always tend to any way.
and he teases me alot and jokes with me why? i mean we only know each other for couple of months just as friends and don't really do any thing like outings etc...
