AS A SINGLE PARENT MY SELF WELL IWAS,I WOULD MOVE YOUR BOYFREIND IN FIRST THEY WONT DEAL WITH IT IF HE HASNT MOVED IN,IF HE IS WORKING YOU NEED TO CONTACT THE LOCAL TAX OFFICE AND GET WORKING TAX FORM,IF HES NOT WORKING PHONE THE DHSS AND TELL THEM THE DATE HE MOVED IN THEN THEY WILL SEND YOU SOME FORMS TO FILL IN IT SHOULD BE STRAIGH FORWARD ,BUT PLEASE INFOEM THEM WHEN HE MOVES IN OR YOU WILL BE DEALT WITH VERY HARSLY LIKE FRAUD GOOD LUCK

I'm not sure how it works in the sates, but in the UK one has to contact the place issuing the benifits, and inform them of any changes [eg, your partners income]
