This is the website for the U.S. Department of Labor Occupational Handbook. It has all kinds on information on jobs.

I don't know of any websites for career tests. High school counselors used to have them but I don't know if they do any more.

Dear Career Seeker:

I know how it feels to seek a profession that will make you happy to go to work each day so try websites like, careerbuilder.com, monster.com and if you are in or are thinking of taking some college classes, collegeboard.com is also a great site. Hope all goes well and that you are soon working in the job of your dreams.

those tests are crap...

you are better of pursuing something you'd like to do, now what a biased test thinks it indicates.

I don't know if this is available in the US, but in the UK there is an electronic test that the school [or other related organisation] can give wich asks you a series of questions about your likes and dislikes, and complies a list of jobs/ careaers it thinks would be sutable for you.

Here is a abridged version of this test, but remember it is primarily for the UK ONLY:

go to goole(.com) or www.ask.com/.

to look for a job, go to monster.com

well, when you find the job you want, you can then go to monster.
