Lately I've become very emotional about stupid stuff (crying, screaming, etc) my mom has been calling me a bitch and my dad just doesn't like to be around me, which I can understand - I don't want to be around myself either. I dislike being around my parents - they ask stupid stuff, and just won't leave me alone. My doctor also thinks I have depression. What can I do to make myself a better person to be around? lately I've just been biting people's heads off - and I honestly don't mean to. HELP!!!!

Okay, I've been through depression before. Do something you love doing, like other people were saying. I'm only 13 and I've been through a ton of things that make me emotional. I had a headache for months and months and i was starting to get nervous about it and I asked my mom about it so she took me to the doctors. The doctor said that it was stress from always being depressed and then hearing that at 13 made me feel uncomfortable because I'm 13 and I'm always stressed out.

Maybe you can sit down and talk to your parents because I too went through this phase where all I could do was cry and slam doors and i didn't want to be around people.

Do you like to write or do you write often?
Because whenever I'm very ticked off I write whatever comes to my mind. I don't swear but just an example would be if you were very mad you could be like @%&$*%& *** ***** ***(&^%^& (swear) in your notebook.

Maybe you can sit down and ask your parents,(or only one if thats what makes you feel more comfortable)if you could see a therapist which may help you. You can get a special notebook just for how you feel and you can write in it every few times a week and each time you see your therapist you can (if you choose to) show what you write to your therapist which may help.

Being around friends, and family, or writing when I feel alone helps me out a lot, and I write a ton of poems. They eliminate most stress I'm feeling for the day

I think you have to sit down and write down ten reasons what's going on with you, then fallow one by one and try to solve it, you have to find what's going on with you first before anyone around you. May be you can be able to solve problems with your parents as well.Wish you all the best.

so this one time my mom was like "I WISH YOU WAS NEVER BORN!" and i told her i didn't care about if i was born or not and she kicked me out and i lived wit my friend for two days then i came back cause she did't mind that it was born i guess, or she just wanted the cat i took wit me, i dunno. then i said her curtans looked like ass and she kicked me out agin. and said somthing about how i shud get a job. you shud tell yor mom she makes good ham or something like that and she'll be nice then.

What makes you happy? What makes you physically feel good? True, it sounds like you may need some professional therapy, but in the meantime, try to concentrate on doing things you enjoy, being around people that make you feel good. Do what you can to draw positive energy towards you. Personally, I'm against those 'wonder drugs' for depression like Prozac and Zoloft; but that's just me.

Try to smile and feel better. You're not alone; and not everyone hates you...including your parents.

ack... i think i'm going through that too... i had the first big disagreement with my parents the other day - and it was over the silliest thng - what happened in a movie. lately, everyone's been annoying me, and i swear, if my brother does one more thing...! good luck, though. as for some advice - talk. if no-one will listen, talk to your self. if you feel silly or don't want anyone to hear, turn up the stereo REAL LOUD and talk to that. OR talk to your pets. trust me, it helps.

Um -how old are you? Because it is probably just hormones. It might help if you get yourself a punch bag +/ play your faveourite music really loud and dance madly to it.I went through something a bit like this- I started getting a whole load of exercise in the 'fresh air' and I did start to feel better.Journals also help.

If there is something specific pissing you off then go somewhere private and yell 'F*ck' over and over really fast until you laugh at yourself for sounding like a demented chicken.It works!

Oh-do NOT succumb to the temptation to stay in bed all day.

its just hormones, babe. maybe youre about to start your period. that would be PMS. or maybe youre just at that stage in teenage-hood where your parents and pretty much everyone just annoys the crap out of you. just try as hard as you can to feel better, and explain to people that you just arent feeling well and not to take anything too personally.
