Messed up DVD

Hey columnists...
I got a DVD from Netflix today, and have been trying to watch it. Unfortunately, it keeps alternately freezing and skipping. I've tried taking it out and cleaning it of with tissues, but so far it hasn't stopped. Is there anything I can do to clean it off, without having to just send it back?

ipod mini help

alright so my ipod mini has been having problems where im on my recently added playlist and for some reason now my menu button doesnt work so i cant listen to anything else and im stuck listening to only 7 new songs i have added.. any advice on getting it fixed?

cell phones

ok, me and my friend have verizon. my friend's visiting family. i know there is roaming charges for him, but what do i get charged for?? i have verizon and so does he, so when we call/text it's free, but would that change since he is out of the country or what?? i'm just wondering if it is still free or if i use my plan minutes even though we both have verizon.

Guilt & Christmas Present Recieval

My parents are going to let me choose any camera I want as a Christmas present. They do not think I know and are excited to tell me. The thing is, the type of camera that I want is at least one to two thousand dollars. I am really into photography and already have a semi-broken camera.
I always hear my parents complain about money problems and I feel would feel extremely guilty about getting such a large gift. My dad just got a $25 000 bonus this year at work, but I do not think the money should be spent on me.
How can I tell my parents that I appreciate it but I do not need the camera (no matter how much I want it). I do not want to hurt their feelings.

I had been thinking I couldn't be happy unless I was absolutely gorgeous on the outside. What are some ways, big or small, to prove to myself and the people I care about that you can be happy no matter what you look like. And are there any celebrities or famous campaigns (such as dove) with this message that I can read up on?

I'm moving in a week and we're getting new cell phones/plans. What is the best phone I can gete for under $250? Any deals you've seen with certain providers? I mostly call & text but pics & videos wouldn't hurt. Durability is always a plus. I want a really good phone so any opinions are appreciated. I'm sixteen & a female. <3

Working so hard just for everything to fall

I was decorating the Christmas tree last year when suddenly it fell over. All of my ornaments (from generations and generations.. and the ones I had been collecting since I was born) were suddenly broken.
Just now I was decorating the tree this year thinking I have so much good in my life but I am not happy and I should try harder (I am constantly trying to improve my life.) But then I dropped an ornament and it reminded me of last year.
I work so hard for everything, but I know how easily it all falls apart and how disappointed I am. Should I see the omen of the falling ornament and stop trying to avoid disappointment? Or do I keep trying to improve my life and self?

Christmas presents!!

So as everyone knows, Christmas is in two days. I still don't have any presents for my mom, dad, sister, or grandparents! I don't have any money either, and I dont want to ask people for money, so I was thinking of making them gifts. I need some ideas, something easy, that I could make in a day. Any advice is appreciated!

what does it mean when a guy tells a girl she looks like a freak (in sex terms).
haha like i was at this one party and we were just goofying off. we started playing "never have i ever" and the topic sex came up. and haha they accused me of having done stuff in the "sex closet" (yes we have a sex closet). the one guy was like (jokingly) "dude i bet that girl is sucha a freak, like in sex terms." and he was like "dude she even just looks like one too! haha" but he was REALLY nice and stuff, he wasn't saying it to be mean.. i could tell
and i was like wtf? did he think i was ugly or something? please help

Best temporary hair color

So...I want to put a color in my hair for the summer holidays which is 2 months. I heard about Loreal mousse....but I don't know how effective it is! I want somehin that's really real lookong but can wash off after since my mum will not want me do it for permanant...plus I'm in school and I can't dye my hair during school!
Any ideas?
