everybody thinks im a techers pet even though i asked to help my teacher everyday and i get awards everyday and i listen in every lesson in school doenst make me a teachers pet does it?

The Perfect Storm

Hi everyone. I am currently reading the Perfect Storm, but I don't really understand the book. I know its setting but I don't get it on a depper and more analytical way. Can anyone offer advice on this book...a way to better understand it? There aren't any notes about the book on cliffnotes or sparknotes or gradesaver or pinkmoney and I REALLY don't want to pay bookrags and browsing I'm not finding enough information. Please help me....this book is complicated.

So I'm in high school and we just got our new schedules. I'm pretty into music...I took concert choir and musical theatre but there's one class I got stuck in that I didn't ask for...music theory. Does anyone know what that is, or what to expect?

i found this question somewhere and i was wondering what would be the answer for it. i kind of have the sameproblem just a little though.
"i am WAY to shy! I am starting highschool this year, in 2 weeks and I REALLY want to make some new friends. I mean, I guess I have a lot of friends but I'm finding it more and more difficult to act like myself around them. Even my best friend in the world can't entertain me. I can't hold up a conversation at ALL so I usually find myself complaining about something as a sort of "default conversation topic", which I KNOW people find complaining annoying but it's better to be talking about something than not be talking at all right?? Is there a sickness that I can efake so I can skip a whol school year?

One of my friends in 6th grade, when he lived in Texas, said he faked a sickness which I forget and he skipped a whole school year and was home schooled. Don't really know how true it was though, but It was a contagious sickness of some kind...
Anyway, does anyone know any sickness that can work like this? The reason why is sort of personal, but I only want to skip one year of school, and come back the next... Its sort of a long story why...
Any ideas would help. Thanks.

the glass castle

i have to read the glass castle for school, and i have to write a paper on it. I already read the book and i wanted to start on the paper. The problem is that i have to write about a song that reminds me of the book and write why it does. I cant think of any song that would possibly ever go with the book. Has anyone ever read the glass castle by jeannette walls? and knows a song that goes/relates to it? any help at all would be muchh appreciated(:

AP US History?

As some of you may know first-hand, AP US History is a rigorous United States history course. It's essays, tests every week, and more essays, plus the midterm is known for being supremely difficult.
According to my friends who have taken it, APUSH (as we students so fondly call it) is hell on earth.
Our summer work for APUSH is: Six essays as well as a 1-page-long introduction to ourselves. Due 19th September.
But...I'm not sure if i want to do APUSH. Or rather, if APUSH is really a class for me. Because:
1. History is my least favorite subject.
2. I'm already taking Honors Math Analysis, Honors English III, and Honors Physics
3. I play varsity volleyball, tr...

so i have this summer assignment that says i have to pick FIVE IMPORTANT current issues, and describe them and give my oppinion. i've thought of issues such as the economy and gas prices, but i need 3 more and of course there all those issues out there such as abortion, alchohol, drugs, animal rights, global warming, etc etc...these issues have always been around and im not sure if they can be described as important CURRENT issues...so my question is what are some important issues to discuss that are happening right now. oh and please anything but the 2008 election because weve been told not to use it...
