urine! f/16

lately, my urine is darker and has a strong odor. i've had infections before but this time.. i'm not sure what it could be. there's no change in discharge, no burning when i pee, no cramps or sharp pains. Just orange tinted urine and a strong odor. It's not a bad odor, like a yeast infection, just.. has a really, really strong smell. could this be related to dehydration?

soft skin

do bath salts make your skin soft (for the entire body so putting on lotion is out of the question unless its sold in large quantities)? if not, what will? drinking lots of water?
is olay quench body lotion any good?

Annual Check Up

I'm 23 years old and I live with my boyfriend in a new city. I don't have health insurance or anything. Can I go to a Health Clinic and get my annual Gynecologist visit for free?
Or better yet, is there anywhere I can go to get it for free? If it matters, I live in Oregon.

bruise after tanning

i went tanning today in a tanning bed and when i got home i noticed i had a bruise on my boob.. this was my first time going tanning and i dont remember hitting my boob or anything.. what could this be?

The pill and periods

I started the pill for the first time on my last period.
I am now up to the placebo tablets (when I should get my period)
I have had 5 and I have 2 more to go and I still haven't gotten my period.
I'm not pregnant.
So what's going on?

Brown Period

I am constantly experiencing a brown period, lasts for only 2-3 days but always comes between day 12-15 of my cycle when I shouldn't be bleeding at all?

nose piercing

I recently pierced my nose myself (last thursday)
Since then, it hasn't gotten infected, it's just a little red (obviously)
I would like to keep it this way- I hear dial soap is good- should I continue using that? I've also been using alcohol- but I think that's drying out the outside of the piercing.
any tips on the best way to keep it clean and possibly make the redness/dryness go away?

hair shedding

17/f and wondering about the shed rate of my hair. I have light brown (natural) hair of normal thickness, and I take good care of it with regards to shampoo, conditioning, air drying, etc. I just don't understand, I know it's winter, but my hair seems to be shedding alot. Every time I shower (every/ every other day), there's a little clot left at my drain. Whenever I brush it, a good pinch accumulates in my brush. Almost every time I run my fingers through it, at least one follicle comes out. Is this normal?
I go to a competitive high-stress prep school, get about 6/7 hours of sleep a night (whatwith work), don't have a current winter sport, and eat healthfully.

Pain in my lower back

I'm 14 and I don't know why but for 3 days now it hurts to walk. Like above my butt (where the jeans would touch) at at the right, there's nothing there. but when i walk it hurts as if someone has a voodoo doll and just keeps poking me there when I walk.
Does anyone know what it could be and how I can fix it?

Tags on my skin

I am 15/f and I have brown tags all over my neck. Usually you are supposed to get these when you are MUCH MUCH older and I'm getting them on me now....and it really lowers my self esteem because I already have problems with my self esteem because of my body, don't get me wrong, I love my life and I'm not gonna do anything drastic
but what should I do? I'm going to a dermetologist but my mom said there realy is nothing you can do about it because it grows back. Am I abnormal? What is wrong with me??

Tips on losing weight?

17/f..145lbs. 5'6".
I don't know if my weight is normal, but I'd still like to lose a few pounds here and there. My 'problem areas' are my thighs, calves, and abs. I want them to get skinnier, but I don't want to look muscular either. Any tips on how I can do this? I'd love to do this by at least May (hopefully) but I do want to do it safely too. Thanks!

hair extensions?

Well, I have wavy brown hair that's pretty thing. I straightened it yesterday for a party and now its kinda flat looking. I want thickness really badly. I want my hair to look full and long/medium styled. I really don't want short hair. I trim mine every 6 weeks, and it's just about hitting my shoulder, maybe an inch farther. I'm thinking about maybe getting some hair extensions that are the same color as my own. I want my hair to be thicker and longer. I use Nioxin for fine/thinning hair, but it's kind of helping, and I've been using it for 2 months. I'm trying to eat healthy and lose about 20 pounds, but I just really want thicker hair that looks good straightened. Is getting hair extensions healthy? Will it damage my hair? I heard it pro...

this is going to sound really bad. but i started playing with myself when i was 12. i had started my period when i was 11. i had my period 5 times. till i tured 12. then one day it just stoped. im 15 now. and i havnt had my period since then. i dont want to go to a docter because im scared. i dont know what to do. and i mean obviously im not pregnet because its been 4 years. help..please..

Period question

Okay, 20/f. I've had my period since I was 12, and been on birth control since I was 16. A few months ago I switched from Yasmine 28 to Yaz (lower dose), and for the first month I spotted a little, then got my period, then everything was normal.
I got my period during the four day placebo cycle about two weeks ago, and now during the pill cycle, my period's showed up again.
Recently I came down with a cough, had no appetite, and lost about five or six pounds in two days. I know dramatic weight loss can have an effect on your period, but doesn't it usually make your period LATE, not come twice?
I'm also used to losing dramatic amounts of weight, as I have crohn's disease, which seems to flare up once a year. Every tim...

Okay so prepare yourself for some nasty. When I poop it hurts so bad. I usually don't cry. Like when I broke my finger I never cried, but when I poop I cry. It hurts way bad. After it's over it makes me bleed. I told my doctor and she didn't do anything. She just said my poop is too hard and it's causing me to bleed. It rips my skin at times. Is this really serious or should I toughen it out? I'm also 16/f. If that says anything.

Okay 14/f. Lol this is a really weird question but i live in cali, and we are having a pool party in a month and i have tiny boobs and m wearing a bikkine and i just dont want everyone to relise that i have tiny boobs. is their anything besides surgery that will give me bigger boobs?

I am sexually active.. and i have had a problem for a little while now and im unsure what it is. It's a white color discharge that comes out in mass amounts sometimes it smells like mayo.. it know it sounds gross... lol sometime i feel like i just got my perod then i look and its all this white stuff rarely it burns it doesnt hurt to have sex its just gross and embarrassing so i try not to.. it doesnt itch at all.. what is this?
