Question Posted Wednesday January 16 2008, 3:56 am
lately, my urine is darker and has a strong odor. i've had infections before but this time.. i'm not sure what it could be. there's no change in discharge, no burning when i pee, no cramps or sharp pains. Just orange tinted urine and a strong odor. It's not a bad odor, like a yeast infection, just.. has a really, really strong smell. could this be related to dehydration?

EDIT: hmm, well that's definitely weird then. normally that would happen to people that only drink soft drinks and stuff. if it doesn't go away in a few days, call your doctor and ask. because there's no pain, the only other thing i can think of is if you dramatically changed what you eat... but surely a doctor will know. ciao77 answered Wednesday January 16 2008, 1:16 pm: It probably is related to dehydration. When you drink enough water, your urine is clear-ish, or very pale yellow. So try drinking more water and see what happens. If it still does not improve, you could always talk to a doctor to see what could be causing it.
If at anytime you notice pain while you pee, or see any of the following- cloudiness in urine, any blood (of course when you aren't on your period), mucus..then see a doc. right away, as it could be a sign of some sort of infection or other health problem.
