Question Posted Sunday May 23 2004, 10:11 pm

Will Clorox Bleach bleach your hair? I don't want to try it out and find out that it works! This isn't really important but I would apprechiate it if you would answer this.

i've never tried clorox to bleach my hair, but i've always wondered if it worked because it would be cheaper than buying real hair bleach. haha. to all the people- i bleach my hair all the time so my color is better and my hair hasnt fallen out. they are overexagerating A LOT.

appreciate* ♥

MissJ1414 answered Thursday June 3 2004, 1:32 pm:
Yea.. but you mite want to water it down and don't leave it in too long because your hair will fall out. After your done letting it sit then wash your hair so it doesn't mess up your skin.

DO NOT bleach your hair with house cleaning bleach. It will COMPLETELY ruin your hair. If you want to bleach your hair, get a special bleaching kit made for hair. You can get them about anywhere. They're about 7$ at WalMart.

CLOROX WILL KILL YOUR HAIR!! girl dont think about puttin that in your hair!! it'll totally frizz it all up! keep your hair natural..if you want it lighter get highlights done at a salon or buy them at the store to do yourself but PLEASE dont BLEACH your hair! have you see what it does to your CLOTHES..imagine what it'll do to your hair! you'd have to condition it reaaallyyy well! i think you'd strongly regret it...

OxBarbieBabiiexO answered Sunday May 30 2004, 1:11 pm:
yes it WILL bleach your hair. but your hair gets REALLY brittle and falls out, sometimes it turns green...depends on the color it is naturally. ya know how when you go swimming in a pool and sometimes your hair turns green? BLEACH DOES THE SAME THING AS CHLORINE!! don'tttt do it. if you want it that blonde, use super blonde (i forget what brand it is, sorry!) or revlon high dimension bleach blonde lightening kit is good too, ive tried both of them and they got my hair REALLY blonde!! or if you wanna do it the natural way, go here... notnormal answered Monday May 24 2004, 5:34 pm:
If you are talking about the kind of bleach you use in the laundry, don't do it. Bleach can burn your skin and scalp if you leave it on and don't rinse it off immediately.

ArisuStarr answered Monday May 24 2004, 2:12 pm:
It'll bleach your hair, yes, but it'll make it very brittle and will likely crumble after a bit of brushing. Stick to the colour that comes in pretty boxes, ok?
