advice
my bf and i have been going out for over a year and i really love him. the problem is that lots of other girls like him too. girls are always calling and texting him, inviting him to do stuff, and hanging all over him, even in front of me. i always hear rumors about girls saying they like my bf and wish we'd break up. some of these girls are even my "friends." and im thinking HELLO, he has a girlfriend!!! is that normal behavior? becuz i just dont get it. i would never, ever throw myself at a guy who is taken. my dad says i should get mad at them and say something like "hey, stay away from my bf!" but im just not like that... i dont want to start any drama or seem like im jealous or overprotective. but i feel that way inside, and im tired of worrying about losing my bf or being betrayed by a supposed friend.
You know most girls are like that with their boyfriends. But really he knows that hes not single. He's just a girl magnet and he can't help the fact that he is one. He wouldnt turn you down just because a lot of girls flirt with him. But I know how you feel. And you should feel that way its normal for people to feel like that.. because it is not right for them to do that especially if its right in front of you. You will not lose your boyfriend unless those girls go beyond the top with him. The most important thing with you and your boyfriend is trust. And if he breaks that then you can start to worry. But if you guys are honest and you know you wont lose him and everythings going fine then it will be ok. Try not to be jealous of your boyfriend, guys really really hate it when girls are jealous because they get a lot of girls flirting with them. Try not to show it and everything will be fine. Just think if you and your boyfriend switched tables and you would be seeing him jealous because of all these boys flirting with you. Have a positive attitude around your him, and show him that you are the only one he can flirt with :)
how do you curl your hair?!
my hair is super thick and blonde,but my curls are always tight ringlets or just a tangled mess..

I gave my best friend a "Free Monthly Magazine" delivered every month, and paid for it online. She loved it a lot. If that doesnt work then try a homemade gift card, and some form of personalized jewelry. You can spend on an engraved ring or a Tiffany necklace or charm braclet with an engraved charm. Like or you can make a sort of scrapbook filled with memories and pictures and just basically things that remind you of her.. But before doing what I suggested already, get her something she would like. You know her, you know what she likes and dislikes.. you know what is special to her and keep that in mind while chosing her gift. I hope she likes whatever you give her.
ive been going out with this guy for 2 months and its been okay but hes in a different grade and i hardly get to talk to him. my mom took my phone away before i went out with him and i still havnt gotten it back but he has a cell phone. the problem is my parents wont let me talk on the house phone so i have to call him when my parents arent around which is hardly ever! the problem is that every time i get to call him(which is hardly ever)he ethier has his phone off or he wants me to call him back. the longest phone conversation was maby 16 min and then he said to call him tomoro.every conversation we have ends with him saying can you call me later and its so annoying.i called him today and he asked could he call me later and i told him he couldnt because it was my house phone then he told me to call him later and i asked him when and he said he didnt care just to call him later. i was sooo mad that he would say he didnt care. i understand sometimes your doing something important and arent able to talk on the phone but this is EVERY time i call him! i hardly know him because i can never talk to him for more than 2 min.
Thats a problem right there him not talking to you very long or saying that he doenst care. Well if you guys are having a good conversation and then he says oh can you call me back or later. Then that would be good, meaning he's still interested in you. Maybe he's just trying to say 'sorry I'm not interested, or I'm going to break up with you.' But you never really know until you find out. So why dont you try to call him and say
"(his name) Hey I have been feeling a little sad, that we never talk that long or not at all. It's been 2 freaking months. Don't you think I have been worrying about this? I would like to know whats up with you and me and I would really want to know when would be a better time to call since you are always busy."
Just say that. Maybe when he said he didnt care, it just came out of his mouth and he didnt really mean it just then. I bet you he's feeling sorry for himself for doing this to you. Everything will be better if you just talk to him about it. It will clear up all this and you can have a much longer phone conversations from now on I promise. I have been through this too :)

i've recently started talking to a friend again. we haven't talked for so long, and now that we started, i don't really wanna stop. but everytime we start talking to each other, there's some awkward silences every now and then. what are some things i can talk to him about? i'm a girl and he's a guy, if that helps. he likes poetry and a lof of the things we've been talking about is about life. we don't go to the same school and he's a year older than me.

To make awkward silences from happening just say whatever comes into your mind. Like if you see something and are observing it, then say look at that. Or if you like something about him compliment it. Like if he gets out some of his poetry. Talk about life, and about your day. Something funny will keep him more interested. You really have to think of what to say and really work out on it. He probably wont care if its stupid or out of nowhere as long as you have a subject to talk about then thats completely fine. Or on the other hand get to know him more by asking him questions about himself. Or do the 20 question game. Again let him do the talking if you dont know what to do!

Since your mom doesnt want you to date black guys and the age difference is kind of not the same, your intuition is telling you that its probably not going to work out. Why not follow it? My mom said that too its not good to date black guys, whats funny is this one guy asked me out (im white) and I just said no. I'm just doing what my mom told me to do, and plus the guy was totally ugly. So if you really like this new guy, then talk to your mom about it before you commit a relationship. It wont cause anymore problems if you just tell her about it.
does smoothing shampoo make hair straighter? (example, Garnier Fructice Sleek & Shine)
It kind of just makes it look straight but not actually. It helps if you use a kind of shampoo that makes your hair straight, but most shampoo's dont. When its wet it is straight but when its dry, its not. :)
I have known this guy for a couple weeks, and he doesnt trust girls at all. He's gotten hurt in the past, and you can just see the hurt in his eyes. He acts tough just to try to forget about it. What can i do? I care about him.

Support him when he needs it. He seems really in need for you or people. Comfort him, get to know him more as an individual. Once you know somewhat about this guy who has gotten hurt, you can maybe help him with his problems, and he will feel comfortable with you. Help him out with anything he needs help with. Just show him you care by doing special stuff for this guy. In time he will feel better about this and appreciate you for it!

I think personally he's just being a friendly guy to you. But also as well giving you mixed messages so you dont know if he likes you or not. Guys never want the girl to know they like her. If he talks to you, then ignores you then he might just be being nice to you. Try doing the same thing he does to you and see how it goes from there. You will be able to find out if he likes you.
What color highlights would look good in dark brunnette hair?
I would go for a light brown that would be the best. Not anything too bright in color but not anything too dark. Blonde I agree wouldnt be the best to choose from. But try light brown for that color or anything that would look good against your hair color thats in brown.
Ok here's the deal, My friend and my bf can't stand eachother. Now my bf doesn't care if I hang out with my friend he just says while I'm with her he won't be around. My friend doesn't want me going out with him. She told me to dump him because she "Just doesn't like him." Should I try talking to her again or get rid of her or what? i've been friends with her for awhile but I don't know what to do.
Well that sucks. Guys dont really care about girl problems they just go with the flow on everything. You know what it really doesnt matter what your friend thinks of him, she could hate him or even worse more stuff she doesnt want you to be with him. The point is you are the one with the feelings for him. Not your friend. And if she did then that would be a different story. You aren't doing anything wrong. It's just your friend, and your bf. They must get along...have them talk it out and maybe have a deep talk with the 2 of them. That is totally immature and stupid how they hate each other. They need to stop this. Its annoying and tell them to look on your point of view. Dont get rid of your friend, help her out with this, but if she just will not do what you say then I do suggest it. But you guys have been friends for a long time, so stay strong! Dont worry this mess will end sometime soon. Stay true to your heart, and expalain that this is ridiculous so everyone can get along!
i have an amazing boyfriend, he does everything you could emagine a wonderful boyfriend doing. we've been together 5 and a half months now. i used to be so happy with everything, but he's 3 years older than me. i'm only 15 and everything is so serious now. he also get VERY jealous, and i'm not allowed to talk to other guy, text any other guys or anything, i barely even get to hang out with my friends. i really love my boyfriend but i keep thinking do i really want to be so serious, i'm only 15 i need freedom.

Since hes probably an amazing boyfriend, he's trying everything for you guys not to break up or to be a good relationship. He really really likes you. He's protective around you, also because he's the older one. Its a bad trait for him to be extremely jealous, but really you need some freedom I agree. You need to have a serious talk so you guys can sort this sticky situation out. You dont even need to be in a serious relationship. He's 18 no wonder why he's serious, hes like an adult now. What I would do is to just sort it out by saying "Can you let me have my time, and space and do what I would like to do, and when I have time for you I will spend it with you" something like that. He must understand this, if not, then its time to find someone your own age who is better for you. Age doesnt really matter. It's just whats right for the both of you is what does matter!

I dated this guy for a month.
He's a nice guy, but have bad temper. There're so much differences between us. HOwever, we also have the same option on the overall view of life. We fighted a lot (2 out of 3 times when we went out)considered the period of time we dated.
Now, he doesn't talk to me at all. No emails, no txt, no calls. I know we couldn't work out as couple, but I'd like still be friend, but he obviously doesn't want to...what do I do?
You have to understand that most relationships arent perfect and couples do get in fights. If you know that you guys arent going to work, then believe your intuition and follow it. It's your best instinct to everything in life! Since he isnt communicating with you through emails and text etc. Then what do you think he is trying to tell you? If you know that things arent going right for you and a guy you are dating then the best choice is to just leave him...but since you said that you still like to be his friend. Maybe that would be better for the both of you! I bet it would work if you guys starting to go back to the friend mode. Try it and if he doesnt want to then thats his problem. He shouldn't make it a big deal for you. It's your life, and he just wants to make it difficult so the best is up to you!!

Aww how cute and romantic is that going to be! You just have to enjoy the moment when it comes, for all I have to say. I mean its going to be your first kiss, think about it. Let him kiss you, dont kiss him first. It totally ruins it. Make sure its a good time and maybe if you are alone he will make the move. You dont have to say anything... if you dont want to just smile at him, or even kiss him back. Of course it might be awkward, but you know, its going to be special. Wait for him to kiss you whenever he does and then just say 'I like/love you too'. Good luck and be suprised when you guys do kiss!!

To make your hair stay curly i suggest you have it dry alot. It depends on the curling iron like do not use cheap brands. And use hairspray until after you curl it.
I have had bad experiences with throwing parties, but im getting baptized and its very important. So, i really should throw a celebrations. And i guess it really wouldnt be a 'party', but a dinner. But Im afraid that besides the food, there would be anything to do, and I am nervous thart no one will come, or everyone will be mad tht they came. We are having it at a big townhouse, but my list has expanded to about thirteen different families, and about fifty people (because its a dinner, parents will be coming also), but I need ideas to calm my nerves, so it doesnt end up corny or boring.
You can talk. Since there's going to be a lot of people. Socializing does quit the silences whenever the party is happening. Write down any ideas that pop into your mind. Like for example, do some games that people will enjoy. Dont act like you dont know what you are doing. Have everyone watch a movie or something. Put some music in and have everyone dance!!!! That will sure to make everyone alive and not bored. Put some slow songs and some songs that people can just break dance to. That would be total fun! Make up some activites where some people can participate in like a game show where they have to answer questions or like that. Whatever you do have fun at the party it will be great!!

Start out being friendly to him. Introduce yourself. You dont have to get his attention, there are other ways to do things. Whenever you see him at school, say hi to him and wave. Then, start up conversations with him such as sports. Ask him if you could go to one of his games, and hang out. Maybe try out for a sport to see him even more since you said you dont have any classes with this guy. Before you do all of this make sure you build up your confidence. Unless it come natural for you then you are ok. Practice makes perfect!
EDIT- Do something clever for the # part like for example write it on a slip of paper and slip it in his backpack or whatever. Introduce yourself first before you do that. You might not think you are interesting to yourself, but he might think you are if you just be yourself. =]
