Throwing a party, but im scared, because I have had bad expe

I have had bad experiences with throwing parties, but im getting baptized and its very important. So, i really should throw a celebrations. And i guess it really wouldnt be a 'party', but a dinner. But Im afraid that besides the food, there would be anything to do, and I am nervous thart no one will come, or everyone will be mad tht they came. We are having it at a big townhouse, but my list has expanded to about thirteen different families, and about fifty people (because its a dinner, parents will be coming also), but I need ideas to calm my nerves, so it doesnt end up corny or boring.

Write down any ideas that pop into your mind. Like for example, do some games that people will enjoy. Dont act like you dont know what you are doing. Have everyone watch a movie or something. Put some music in and have everyone dance!!!! That will sure to make everyone alive and not bored. Put some slow songs and some songs that people can just break dance to. That would be total fun! Make up some activites where some people can participate in like a game show where they have to answer questions or like that. Whatever you do have fun at the party it will be great!!
