Lately my dad has been wanting to spend time with me, and for some reason I just really don't want to. I don't know why, but I feel uncomfortable. Like, he asked me to go to lunch, and I just said "I'll think about it", and then without telling him I went to a friends house, and slept over PAST the next days lunchtime, just to AVOID being asked again. What's my problem? I mean...I still like the guy, but I really want to b left alone. And lately, I've been liking my mom more. Pleeease help me!!! Thanks. (link)

OMG! Good thing I'm not alone.. my parents recently divorced, and since then, I've been so distant towards my dad. All the time he's like "Wanna go to the mall?" and I make up an excuse or I just go "umm...not today.. I don't feel good". I feel the same as you, uncomfortable!! Sometimes, it's just about growing up.. and it's like, he's not your dad anymore, he's just an old man, and you're a young girl so it feels weird, right? I like my mom more too, I rarely spend time with my dad, it just feels so weird. But I think the less time you spend with your dad.. eventually, you guys won't even talk anymore. It's important to keep a relationship with your father, and believe me, I try to! It's easier said than done (I know!).. but don't take your dad for granted because one day, he won't be there =\

Well... you should try and get his attention, talk to him, and if ur such he likes you back, then tell him u like him!! it's a done deal!... but if ur afraid u'll get hurt because all the other girls like him, and he'll flirt w/ them.. it's no use, ur just gonna get hurt in the end.

ma m8 Katie is doin drugs. She tried sum drugs n asked this grl ami if she wanted to buy them from her she said no but told the whole skool she is doin drugs now i am scard ma other m8 vikki will start doing drugs too coz she hangs round with Katie. Katie is in trouble with the skoo lcoz sum1 told a teaches. ppl that r Ami's m8 r saying they will beat up Katie. we dont want her to b hurt n she knows the dangers of taking drugs coz we learn bout it at skool. We cant tell her to stop coz we're not meant to know. im just worried about her. plz help me

Drugs are sooo serious, u should take her to counseling....i am glad 2 know that u aren't doing drugs urself though :) about vikki, tell her about the dangers of doing drugs, n tell her it's *SO* NOT COOL!!! just so she's aware. and since you care about katie, tell ami to tell her friends to back off and that katie shouldn't be beaten up becuz she'll be in trouble n then u know, she'll turn to drugs. ur situation is kind of hard becuz ur not supposed to know. but since u know, u should go ahead n tell her to stop what she's doing.. if that doesn't work, maybe it's best u tell her parents, becuz if u don't, she could end up in serious trouble due to the side effects of drugs (brain damage, lung problems, even death....etc. etc.)

I always wanna hang out with people. But when we come over to my house I dont know what to do. Do you have any suggestions for ideas of stuff to do. We always end up really bored!! I have cable but thats not a very fun thing to do when you have ppl over. any ideas would help!!! thnx (link)

We usually play on the computer, watch a DVD or go outside and walk!!! that's always fun.. if you live near a park, you can walk there, or if you have any next door neighbors, u can introduce them!! play sports outdoors.. or make food!! that's fun too hehe =)

okay my friend and i were talking the other day and he was saying stuff like "BYE THIS IS GOOD BYE FOR EVER" and all this other stuff and im like what are you talking abotu seriously and then he sent me a picture of im guessing it was his arm and it had cuts all over it and he goes now times that by 10 im like wow okay then hes like your runing my death stop talking to be then he signed off the computer he has done something like this before but nothing like that serious and i talked to him the next day after but once this happend i haven't spoken to him in 2 days im kind of worried what should i do? Call him! Or visit his house.. this is really serious. He needs a therapist.. or just somebody like you to talk to as a friend :-\ If nothing serious has happened, u should try n talk to him one on one, and contact a therapist. If he agrees to go, u should go w/ him for support & so he knows he has somebody to lean on!! I hope ur friend is okay.. sometimes, all ppl need is luv ((Corny, but true!!))

me and jenny and ruth have been best mates since september when we met. ruth and jenny knew each other from junior school so they were alredy quite close. recently they've been going off a lot together and everyone thinks they're best mates and that i'm just a tag a long. they'll be in the same class next year and they both do a lot of sport together but i hate sport. also they lvie close to each other but i live on the other side of town. i thought it was getting better but today i found out that jenny dumped her boyfriend ages ago with ruth but i didnt know and i thought she would've told me something like that. i tried talking to them but i hasnt helped. what can i do? I totally understand where ur coming from.. being the 3rd wheel is never fun. You should find some other friends, to keep you occupied, so u won't be bummed about THESE 2 friends who've seemed to forgotten you. If this keeps happening, I think it's best to find some new best friends!! Some friends aren't meant to last forever :-\

ok.. like 3 years ago i decided to decorate my room with posters and pictures from all the musicians i liked. well this was in 7th grade and i liked britney spears and all that, but i hate that kind of music now.
i want to take all those posters down and put up new ones with good bands (thursday, dashboard, NOFX, ataris, new found glory.. etc.) does anyone kow of any magizines that have these kinds of bands in them, instead of the teen mags that have justin timberlake and chingy..

I think if you go back out w/ him, it won't be successful.. you'll just be really hurt, and this girl will get in the way *obviously*.. I think you should just move on. im 13 yrs old almost 14 iv been strugglinh with eating disorders the past 2 years, ive been eating now regularyly and gaining the weight i lost back. its really hard knowing i used to be so thin, anyone have any advice? and im 5'1 or 5'2...for those two heights whats a healthy weight for them? thanks

It depends. Some ppl who are 5'1 or 5'2.. they are muscular, and muscle weighs more than fat, so they could weigh about 120?.... yep. it all depends....... :)

Well, sumtimes she could have been thinking that all along, but eventually, her bottled anger suddenly POPPED and she let everything she's felt ..out!! You should talk to her, and tell her that really hurt you. Don't take it TOO seriously, cuz sometimes, in the heat of the fight, ppl just say mean things

idk what it is, but i've just been really out of it lately. and i hate it. my mom yellz at me for doing stuff, and then she yellz at me for not doing thingz. see im tha younest of 3, i feel like im alwayz getting blamed for stuff. like. . . i . . . cant. .. breathe. its really hard, and sumtime i feel like i want to just die. Idk.. i'm lucky cuz i have a great mother, but my family life is pretty screwed. there's not much u can do but talk to ur mom, or u can see a family therapist. try to have fun, get your mind off it!! I want to learn to play the violin. I own one already, two in fact. I don't have money for lessons and they aren't offered for free at school but I really want to learn. I've tried teaching myself, but in the past it hasn't worked. I've always given up without that initial drive to learn that comes with lessons. It's like I need someone forcing me to do it. My parents have never really been supportive of me learning any instrument and it's unfair that they were both given opportunities in school to play and I haven't. I want to play so badly that I cry myself to bed at night over it. But I have no way to learn. (link)

I play violin!! really, it's easy.. do you have any friends that play violin or do u have any friends who HAVE friends who play violin? ask them if they can give u lessons, if not.. try and ask ur parents for money if ur REALLY dedicated to it. Believe me, if you are dedicated, the money u spend for the lessons? it will ALL PAY OFF in the end!!

Ok, there's this guy who I met through my friend. She had a sweet 16th B-day party, and this guy was invited. I think he is her cousin's best friend. Anyway, I haven't seen him since the party, but lately, we started IMing on the computer. I got the screename from my friend. And he sent me all these emails telling me that he likes me. I like him back and we both wanna be in a relationship. The only problem is, my friend likes him to. He's told her that he only likes her as a friend and she knows this. I told her about everything and she says she doesn't mind and she thinks it's cute that we like each other and everything. I just don't know if it's right. Should I go out with him?
