ok i basicaly nee dhelp setting the dam thing up here are the problems
-my ip adress stays within my neetword meaning no one from another network can join (i use a router) i casicaly need a tutorial on how to set up port forwarding for my compt to work properly with counter-strike condition zerp server hosting
-i needa set up a static IP with my computer so i can host a server (i know it could be done even if the ISP doesnt give it to you)
-general help on seting up a counter-strike dedicated server
any help with any of those? greatly apresiated (link)

My first answer pointed you in the direction of
your local LUG (Linux Users Group) but uhh..
they'd probably be disgusted quickly.
GO here and read for a week or so....

Once you have a good grasp of what's going onwith
a counter strike server... THEN
go to the forums on there and ask for help.
DON'T YOU DARE go to that website and just re-post
your question.
Try reading the wealth of information there FIRST.

I too am having a problem understanding your english.
Do yourself a favor... don't learn VB.. it's an almost
worthless skill to have when getting a GOOD programming job.
(my opinion only)
Notepad is a REALLY crappy program anyway.
If you're going to be a programmer...
Get into Linux. Tons of free programs that will
make your life SOOOOO much easier.
That and you'll be able to modify everything
to do what you want to make things even easier
for personal work on computers.

Okay so i've gotten a few emails recently from different people and one of those mailbot things (the ones that tell you your message cant be delivered) well...there is always some strange email that i've never seen before...the mailbots tell me that my message cant be delivered to so and so and i dont even know who they are! and i also just today got an email from some carl flemons. I dont know him but his message said this "I apologize for this automatic reply to your email.

You need to install an anti-virus program.
You also need to install anti-spyware.
www.grisoft.com and www.safer-networking.org/en/download
are two good ones.
You have software on your computer that is sending
out spam e-mail. What you're seeing is the bounce
messages when the spam hits a non-existant account.
Your computer will run faster as well.

Whenever I try to upload a picture onto photobucket or freewebs or anything, my browser freezes up and an 'error' popup comes up.
I thought it must have been something to do with the internet but I actually opened up My Documents on the desktop and opened up My Pictures from there .. and THAT freezed up. So it's definitely something wrong with my computer, internally.
I run spybot search&destroy AND adaware but that never comes up with more than a few things and it never helps my computer.
Does anyone know what I can do to fix this? Not being able to get into My Documents is REALLY inconvenient. Is there some kind of program I can get to fix it .. ?

Number 1... Stop using Internet Explorer.
Go to www.mozilla.org and download Firefox
It's free and it's waaaay better than IE.
Go to www.grisoft.com and download AVG Anti-Virus
for free.
Go to www.safer-networking.org/en/download and download spybot search & destroy
OR
Go to Microsoft.com and click on the link for their
anti-spyware.
That should take care of 90% of your problems.
Just try to avoid using Microsoft software on top
of Microsoft Operating Systems and you'll run into
far fewer problems. :)

Switch to using a REAL internet browser that
has popup blocking built in.
You'll also find that it has a LOT of other features
that make life so much nicer on the net.

About every 3 minutes or so, my computer opens up the calculator from windows! i used it once the other day, but i didnt do anything that would give me a virus. i dont know whats going on. any ideas on what it is and how to get rid of it? ALL FIVES (link)

Run it and keep it on your computer.
This is the first time I've ever heard of the calculator popping up.
If it's not a viurs then it will most likely be a spyware
or malware program of some sort.

I was given a challenge by my boss to be an administrator of a server where a SQL data base is running, where as I have never being an administrator before.
I would like to get some advice from anybody about how I could be a good administrator and what are the things that I should know,to do a better service to my boss.

Uhhh..... being an adminstrator is not something you
just walk into these days. *sigh* your best hope
is that this "server" isn't connected to the internet.
This would actually give you time to go get some
schooling on how to manage an SQL server and basic
admin practices without having to worry about
falling behind on security measures and being compromised
by someone on the internet.
My best advice? Tell you boss you don't know anything
about being an administrator and advise them to
get someone who does. Once they do that, hang out
with them and see if they'll help you learn the basics for free. :)

I got a Canon PowerShot A510 Digital Camera
3.2mega pixels
4X optical zoom
It came with a MultiaMediaCard MMc-16m
^ what is that? how much does that hold??
How many pictures about??
I also cannot figure out how to get the pictures off of the camera on to the computer. I got some of them onto my computer, but they also stayed on the camera. I can't go and ask the store these questions because I got the camera as a gift when my parents got their new car.

It's a 16 Megabyte card.
Did this camera come with a user manual?
Everything you need to know about how to use it is
in there. If you don't have the manual you can get

I would recommend you download the software (or install
it if you have it on cd) and change the settings
so that when you download the pictures it auto-clears
the card.
I would also recommend getting a 128Megabyte or larger
card since you'll only get about 10 photos on that
16M card at max resolution.

I got a DELL 2400 bout a month ago and I have installed MSN 7.5 and my computer is running slower. I have about 89% free space on my hard disk. What can I do to make it run faster??? Thanks! (link)

I agree with AGEHA... Your computer is most likely
infected with spyware &/or virii.
If you're running win98 download spybot Search & Destroy as it's free and gets rid of most of spyware.
If you're running win2k or winxp, go to microsoft.com and download their beta antispyware,
should be a link on the front page.
The other option would be a paid for program. I hear
counterspy is pretty good and only costs about 20$.
Oh yeah, one last thing. If your computer came
installed with Windows XP and your machine only has 128 Megabytes of ram, UPGRADE the ram to at least 256.
Windows XP is crippled with only 128M's of ram
and I still can't believe that they get away with
selling crippled machines like that. *sigh*

First off, I agree that www.gimp.org is the best free
picture editing program available.
If you only need to edit one picture or just a few,
there's a much simpler program called ACDSee
that you can download at www.download.com (just do a search)
This program isn't free but does have a trial period that
should allow you to finish all your editing before it expires, if you don't have too much.
Personally I would go with Gimp though. It's worth
taking a bit of time to learn how to use, it's almost
as good as Photoshop and still free.

I want to download limewire because I've heard you can get free downloadable music from it.. but I don't know if it's safe, and I don't know if I'll get in trouble with the law or anything for using it. Does anyone have any experience with it or any advice whether to download it or to not? (link)

First off, let's clear up a huge misnomer here...
Limewire is NOT an illegal application!
Using limewire to download music files that you
have not paid the artist for IS illegal. It's called copyright infringement.
Personally I use streamripper or streamripper32
to rip files from online radio stations
that broadcast music that is NOT controlled
by the corporate jackoff's in the United States
recording industry.
The cheapest way to get the music you like and want
is to go to used CD stores and buy the cd's you
want and then rip them to mp3 format for your ipod.
Anything else is illegal and your decision.

ok well there is this guy at my school who really likes me and I really like him too. However, I have been with my boyfriend for 3 months and lately I have been questioning my feelings about him and me. But when I think of breaking up with him i get really upset to the point where my eyes tear up. And this weekend I went over to my friends house on Saturday and he laid on the bed next to me and had his arms around me and he also held my hand....and then I went back over Sunday and he was constantly holding my hand and I don't think we let go for more than about 10 minutes, he would put his arm around me when he was behind me and then later on that night before i left he kissed me. And I kind of enjoyed this but I don't know how to tell my boyfriend. And I want to take a break from him but he said he doesn't do breaks and he doesn't give his ex-girlfriends another chance so this is the only chance I have with him, and I'm afraid that I'm going to regret my decision. Ok first off, don't take this the wrong way
but... you're what, Somewhere between 13 and 16
years old?
I'll get to the guy advice in a moment, just hear me out.
This is the time of life when you're just beginning
to be able to tell the difference between 2% and whole milk.
The LAST thing you need to be doing is stressing yourself
out over some boy who you're probably not even going
to remember all that well in another 10 years.
Focus on SCHOOL and an education. The more you
use your brain in the next few years, the easier
it's going to be for you to make REAL life decisions
later.
The smart thing to do would be to answer your own
questions about your feelings for your boyfriend.
Does he support you in everything you do? Is he
kind and considerate? Does he help you out when you
need it? You already know the answers. Make
the decision you know is right and start focusing
on your education.
The other boy? I would deal with that after you
figure out what you're going to do about your current bf.
I'm sure you won't like my advice and I'm sorry about
that. My advice is based on reality and the only
way to know the benefits of it would be to follow
it and find out I'm right in about 20 years.

Do you REALLY talk like that, or are you just unable to type?
You want to impress a girl? Be yourself, not some

Any girl that's worth chasing or hanging out with
is NOT going to be impressed with a fake you.
You say you've liked her since the last Ice Age? Do
you know what kind of movies she likes? What about
simple things like ice-cream flavors?
You really REALLY want to get to know her? Spend
time with her finding out who she really is.
I'm not talking spanish inquisition here, just talk about
what you do and don't like when you're around her for
a while.
Once you know who she is and what she's all about, it'll
be much easier for you to come on here and post
an intelligent question to get advice on what
to do next :)
Remember, when you can't think of anything ultra-cool
