Okay, well I have a clean-cut sort of preppy style, and since Christmas is coming up and I'm bound to get gift-cards and money, I have some questions: (Note: I'm not talking about Hollister kind of preppy. Like that New England, clean sort of look. Old money preppy, not label-bearing-new-kind-of-preppy-that's-not-really-preppy.)
1. What's a good checklist of things to buy?
2. What are some good stores? Not specific brands, I can do that myself, but what kind of stores?
3. Where can I get some clothes that have those little patterns of like whales and sailboats etc. on them? The only things I have like that is a puppy-covered sweater vest and an anchor-patterned tank top. Where can I get more stuff like that?

If you are trying to say something like "That is so cliche," than you are spelling it right.
If you are trying to say, "Those girls are in a clique," you are spelling it wrong.

ok this is kind of long, but it is important,atleast to me. alright i really like this guy his name is carl. welll carl is alot older than me im 13 and hes 17.carl likes me to and we were dating not going out i donnt know we would justdo sexual things you know?? well last night i met my friends ex boyfriend they only went out for a day his name it bob. bob saw my myspace pictures and he thoought i was really hot we talked on the phone and we like each other alot he asked me out and i said yes i dont know how to tell carl. .... thats my first question. my second one is is that his ex girl friend hates me she got like five people to call him and tell him im fat i am fat thought but i really like him and i wanna stay with him.how can i loose weight before i meet him at movies.
i am fives foot big boned and i anf 140 ilbs. how can i get a flat tummy as soon as i can. i will do anything but i cant run and i dont hav a bike and i cant join a club or whatever. thanks

It isn't weird unless the person begins to think the portrait is real or will truly solve their problems. It can be a way to let out stress and to remember a loved one.

i do not understand why everyone is always saying "don't have sex" all i hear from teachers now is "sex will ruin your life, it hurts you, its horrible, don't do it, you'll regret it, yada yada yada" um, you wouldn't be here if it weren't for your parents having sex. teachers shouldn't say this. it is actually a great thing if you do it at the right time. i think they should tell us the disadvantages of having sex when you are young, not just in general NOT HAVING SEX. is there a reason why people tell us this? There is a reason why you are being told this. Many teenagers do not understand that sex can be a destructive thing--it can spread STDs, and it can caused pregnancy at a very bad time in your life. Your teachers don't mean that sex will ruin your life in the future---they are talking about NOW.

i live in a low income apartment..all of my friends live in big houses. i hate living in a crapy apartment in a rich neighborhood. especially my crush! we talk a lot (hes an only child). and i always hear about his escalades and BMWs and i HATE IT! because i have a crapy car and i wish i wasnt ashamed of were i come from. i used to live in a crappy neighborhood but that was okay because i was the rich one of the poor people (even though then we were poor) now i have to transition to being on of the poor people. again. and i HATE IT! what can i do to change this feeling?

You cannot change your circumstances until you move out of the house and create your own life. So to be blunt, the only option you have is to change your attitude and outlook. I honestly do not think that anyone is judging you because you are "poor" as you put it (by the way, compared to the majority of the world, you are quite rich). Change the feeling that you have by making a list of the things you ARE thankful for. You could also volunteer at a soup kitchen and see people who are less fortunate for yourself. I am sorry you feel this way though.

Okey, here's the thing. I can't sing.
No really, not that I don't sing GOOD, it's just that I sing...really bad. Like, really.
It sounds awful. Not that I think anyone would make fun of me..but still, I need to ask this question.
I've always been the shy quiete girl. And I don't want to be anymore. I want to be seen as a happy & loud person! So my class is doing this kareoke thing, and I want to be happy 6 up for anything 6 justa fun loving girl..but I can't sing!
So is there any fun or cool way of saying no to singing in front of the class? If I just say no everyones going to be all "c'mon, don't be like that.." not that they're gonna pressure me, but I'm going to feel like the boring girl who doesn't know how to have fun.
So can I say it in a fun way and turn this to my advantage?
Or atleast in a cool way so people will keep talking to me,. or atleats find me interesting??

I honestly think you are stressing out about this way more than you need to. I wouldn't worry about your singing voice---karaoke was not made so that excellent singers can show off their vocals. It's supposed to be fun! If you are really that worried, you could make your voice sound really weird/funny on purpose to make it seem like you are trying to be funny. Again, I wouldn't stress over it.

on one of my hair products, it says to dry hair with a diffuser... whats that!?

A diffuser is attached to the end of the hair dryer. It is great for adding waves to your hair because it only adds heat but no blowing air

My best friends boyfriend is transferring schools and they are going to break up on the last day of school because they think its too hard to stay together.. she is crying sll the time and i really feel so sorry for her, but what should I tell her?

The best thing to do is be there for her no matter what. Go out shopping, get something to eat, rent movies together, just do something to get her mind off everything!

oh my gosh, this guy that i totally like a lot is moving to Olklahoma tomorrow, and we have been talking a lot about things lately, and i am almost positive that he does to, and he is old enough to stay here in Cali.
He has said things like, i dont want to leave because i will be loosing all of this, and i said all of what but he wouldnt reply.
I want to tell him that he should stay, but dont know if i should!
Should i tell him?
Please help! I am confused!

Well, that is a tough question. You should defintiley tell him how you feel, but you really cannot expect him to stay on such short notice.

what's a good foundation thats not heavy, for combonation skin? i have some acne around my forehead and nose, but it's dry at the same time. idk its weird. and also my face can be pretty blotchy, so i want it to even out my complexion.

make sure to wear a good moisturizer that won't clog your pores (and therefore cause acne) under your foundation, because that will help to even out your skin and help stop the dryness. as for a good foundation, try maybelline
