ok what is the best kind of pet for a starting out couple who just moved in together and are planning on getting married? my fiance works days and i do too. we get home typically him at 5 me at 3. and we leave in the mornings at like 6. we both love all kinds of animals, and want to get a pet to share our lives with since we are not ready for kids yet. what kind of pet would be the best pet to get. we are not allergic to anything and if you are just going to say "cat" or "dog" please specify a breed and why so that we can be educated about it before we make our desicion. thank you so much and i promise to rate every answer i get!
I think a cat would be better for you.
Dogs tend to not like to be left alone for long hours. They need to go out and use the bathroom often, and if left unattended, can get into trouble.
Cats are generally easier. Leave out a litter box and some food, and they'll be fine. They prefer long hours alone :)
With cats, it's hard to tell the precise breed. Just go to the shelter, find a cat you like.
heyy well heres the thing .. i'm getting old and i haven't started to shave my legs yet. with winter coming up i can wear long pants but in gym, we have to change into uniforms that are shorts. all the popular and good looking guys are in my gym class and i don't want them to get any wrong impressions .. i want to bring this up with my mom but it really gets uncomfortable talking about puberty and such .. i really need some help! thanks ahead of time !

First of all, i'm not asking this to be told to go to the doctor. I just need advice from people who might now what this is. Anyways, during the summer i had like a racing heart beat for two months and i felt weak but really nervous. I would fall asleep and then jump all of a sudden after like five minutes. It eventually went away, and last night it started all over. I could tell the symptoms. I felt really bad in the morning. Everybody thought i was sick and my heart beat was abnormally fast again. It eventually calmed down but i now it's still there. It's actually getting worse as i'm typing this. Does ANYBODY know what this could be or what could happen as a result to this???? My parents wont let me go to the doctor and i dont think the school nurse can help me. I have no medicine to take or anything. Please help me y'all!!! (Sorry its so long but i need help...)
It could be so many things, and there should be no messing around when it comes to your heart.
Tell your parents to get you to the doctor. It's probably an anxiety attack.
Ok, I have this really rare blood type (AB-) and my mom told me that if I want to have children, I have to go with my "partner" to get tested to see what blood types can mix with each other and be ok. She said if I mix body fluids (blood) with someone that isn't the same type as me, I'll die. And I really like this guy, but I don't know what blod type he is. And I don't want anyone to know that we....um, yeah. And I'm just....full of freaking questions! I'm such a dork!

I need some advice on getting my 3 year old to sleep in her own bedroom,she has slept with her father and I since she was a baby.Lately her father & I have been having some relationship difficulties,and she is very insecure about everyone being there when she wakes up.
You read her a story, say goodnight, and put her in bed. Leave the room.
If she gets out of bed...place her back in without saying a word. It may take a while, but it will work.

If it's a disposable razor, you can use it for 4 shaves.
If it's a razor with replacement blades (i.e. Venus), you can use the same blade for 8 shades.

OK i got a dog yesterday and all she does is eat and whine!!!!!i wanted a dog beacuse i wanted her to play and follow me around so we could have a good time!!shes 6weeks old!!!but how in the world can i get her to play!!!shes a pekineses and very beautiful but for somereason she will not play!!!!why is that!!!
She's only six weeks old, so she's actually still a baby. Plus, she's going to take a few days to adjust. Let her sleep, explore the house, and get used to her surroundings. Don't push her to play or do anything to scare her. She'll liven up soon, and she'll want to play. Make sure to have toys, balls, etc...on hand to play with her when she does feel like playing.
i put my eyeliner on the top of my eyelid and the bottom, is that too much eye makeup? also i use mascara ..nothing else
I always put eyeliner on both the top of my eye and the bottom. I also wear mascara and eyeshadow.
I don't feel that it's too much. I don't like the smoky look, so I'd know if I was wearing too much. Really, it's up to you. Nobody can decide how much is "too much", except for you.
ok heres the situation..my parents said i can only get a cat if i can find a place for the litter box so my puppy wont get into it when nobodys home. i cant think of anyplace to put it, any suggestions?
If you get a cat tower, you could put it on the top. If not, a dresser, or another area that the cat can climb but the dog can't, would work.
I live in an apartment with my mom. We want to get a cat and the landlady said we can if it doesn't have any claws. We aren't sure if thats ok to do to a cat. I no one other person who has a cat like this and the cat seems happy. What do you think?
Cat's don't really need claws. The only reason they have them is to protect themself. Getting a cat declawed, as long as it is going to be an indoor cat, should be fine.

If you don't get your kitten fixed, she will go into heat, and fairly often. Cat's going into heat basically means they howl their head off...making for a few sleepless nights for your family.
i know this sounds childesh, but my mom gave me a puppy for my birthday and theres just one problem. she wants to have him fixed. and i dont want to have him fixed. it will hurt him and think it's his choice to reoproduce or not. but my mom says he'll be less aggresive and then she had the nerve to tell me it's her house and what she says go's. i dont want to have him fixed but my mom's being a total bitch. how do i convince my mom that it's unfair to fix a dog, and he's mine not hers.
You'd be doing your dog (and yourself) a favor if you fix him. Neutered dogs are less likely to be aggresive towards other dogs, and they're less likely to mark their territory, which could end up saving your carpet. Plus, if you neuter a dog when they're young, they never fully get their adult personality. Meaning, your dog will stay his sweet puppy self.
i have a 2 month old daughter she has had diareeah, vomitting, and a fever not lower than 101 for 12 days the er says its just a virus and to keep her on a fever reducer but they dont seem to be working and now her vomit is curtled and thick. any suggestions will help?? thanks
There is a virus going around. West Nile Virus is also a big problem at the moment. I would get her back to the doctor immediatly.
Okay, this was my first time using tampons. I used a couple, just to practice getting them in and out. I have a little trouble finding "the hole" and putting it all the way in. Is there anything I can do about this? And I know I could've gone a bit farther putting it in, but when I sit straight up, I can feel it just a little bit. Is this because I didn't put it in all the way, or I'm just not used to it.? And I'm worried about getting toxic shock syndrome, and everything. Andd I have to go to my friend's house tmrw and swim and it's like a bbq w/ her family and all. I am so scared about this...I'm just ready to crawl under a rock..Then i'll be gone all day at my other friend's house on Monday. Omg, what should I do about this situation???!!!! I'll rate high!!!
Practice makes perfect, hun. You just need to get the feel of it...keep trying it out, figure out what you need to do to make it more comfortable.
As for TSS....never leave a tampon in for more than 8 hours. If you have any of the symptoms (they're listed in the booklet that came with the tampons), take out your tampon and you should consider calling a doctor.
To make it more comfortable...try different positions. Try squating on the ground and inserting the tampon. You'll get the hang of it. Good luck!
She is 4 and she almost always wants to pretend to be a cartoon character, and wants me to be one too. Sometimes, I just am not in the mood to be a cartoon character and talk in a silly voice. I already told her I won't do it in public, and she understands, but she still bugs me to be characters at home. How do I get her to stop this, or at least not expect me to play along with it every time? It's getting old. Does anyone else have kids that do this?
She's 4 years old, and though it may be irritating for you, this is how she learns.
Perhaps you could arrange some play dates for her? She would get to play with other children, and you would get a break. A preschool might also be a good idea.

I want to lose weight and I was reading somewhere that you just need to burn more calories than you take in for the day. Is that true? So if I eat, let's say, 400 cals a day and try to burn that much or more w/ exercise, will I lose weight?
No, that's not true. You should aim to eat about 1000-2000 calories a day, depending on your size and your age. You should aim to burn about 250-500 calories a day.
I'm hoping you are using the 400 calories a day as an example. Because, there is no way you can eat healthy at 400 calories a day.
ok this is my first time having my period n ive had it for 5 days already and my mom told me its only suppossed to last 3-5 days and the longest shes ever had it was for 7 days. please help me , clue me in on whats going on!!!!! thanks sooooooooooo much

Your mom may have only had her longest period for seven days, but that is not the case for everything. The average period lasts about 3 (lucky them!)to 8 days. I've had periods at times that lasted 9 days. Having a period last 5 days is perfectly normal.
