My church goes on 1 cruise a year with the parish. This year they went to Italy. Next year in the spring they are going to Jamaica, The Bahamas, Aruba, and St. Martin! My family has NEVER been on one of the cruises with the church, and we thought it might be a fun experience.
First off, how can I make my dad totally into the idea. I told him you get discounts when going with the church. Also, all of our close friends will be there. My mom doesn't do planes or cruises so she won't go and my dad probably doesn't want to be the only adult.. I was thinking maybe we could ask my neighbors if they would be interested in going.. What else could I say to get him to want to go because we don't travel a lot and we don't go anywhere far like this before? (link)

Tell him that traveling abroad looks good on college applications. If you have money you could offer to pay for some of the expenses.

I play volleyball and I would like to become better in the Blocking area. My coach doesn't live in the same city as me so It would be hard to have him help me after or before practice or even on other days. So i'm asking you advicenators!
My coach tells me that whenever I block I close my eyes and I don't just as high as I normally can. So how can I open my eyes when I block. I don't know why but I just do it automatically even if I tell myself "keep my eyes open!" they still close. any advice is helpful!!! (link)

I went to Spain for 9 days with my school and 3 other high schools around the country. The first day i started talking to a cute guy but i have been dating the same guy at home for over a year. While i was in spain me and the guy talked alot but never got any farther than a kiss on the cheek. We discussed alot about relationships and our futures. we live on opposite sides of the countries but on the last day he told me he really likes me and if he could he would come see me before he goes to college. I told him i liked him but we both still knew i had a guy at home. I am asking if its ok for me to like him because we automatically clicked and i dont want to hurt my boyfriend. (link)

It's normal to be attracted to other people besides your boyfriend. As long as you didnt cheat on him in any way (which you didnt because you only kissed on the cheek) then its no big deal! You cant control who your attracted to and thats ok as long as you dont act on those feelings.

You could go to your nearest salvation army and pick up some very inexpensive (like $1.00) clothes to wear. You could also use a pajama shirt to put over your nice clothes. You could also maybe borrow something from your parents, siblings, or friends.

Ok, this boy's IMs are inappropriate. He shouldnt be saying these things about you because they don't show you any respect. He's not giving you compliments by saying that you make him "horny." My guess is that he's just doing this to you because he thinks its funny even though it isnt. Him and his friends are probably doing it to see if you'll fall for it, but dont. The same thing happened to my friend and it all turned out to be one big joke and she was really hurt by it so I suggest blocking this kid.

can someone explain to me like, the difference between the imperfect and the preterite tense? and give examples of ar, er and ir verbs. i'm just really confused & google isn't helping. i can't ask my teacher anyway + she's totally weird and would probably confuse me even more. thanks :) (link)

I agree with Lucy's friends. She probably just forgot what size she was and that's why she asked her. I wouldn't take it personally; I think Patsy was just asking an honest question and didnt mean for Lucy to think that she was saying that she was a size 10.

how can you tell the difference in falling out of love w/ someone and just "getting used to them" or whatever.
im 16/f and hes 17/m.. this is my first "real relationship" so its not like ive experienced this before. weve been together 9-10 months.
its like sometimes i love him sooooooo much and i dont kno what id do without him.. other times its just like whatever i dont care and i could go for days without talking to him [we talk every single day [[diff. schools btw]] and its starting to get irritating].
i cant picture myself without him and i dont want someone else to have him and i dont want any one else but sometimes its just UGH ya kno?

You feel like he's smothering you and thats normal. I think the fact that you talk so much just makes you sick of talking to him at all. Instead of talking everyday, try talking to him every other day. Explain to him that you love him and don't want to break up, but you need you're space.

i have thick, straight, heavy hair, and i was wondering how to get it to look naturally curly. i've tried scrunching after showers, but it turns straight right away because it's naturally straight and because my hair sort of weighs the curls down because it's so heavy. it's past shoulder length, though if i cut it it'll still be heavy. are there any products, (no curling irons because i have so much hair it takes FOREVER) that i can use to get to look naturally curly? kinda wild, relaxed curls. thanks (link)

Lucky you! I have the same hair but mine's curly/wavy and I wish it was naturally straight! I suggest getting a spiral curl perm. My friend got one and it came out really cute :]

It all depends on which style you get. Some you can get only online, but others you can get at the store AND online. If I were you, I would go to the store and see if they have any you like and then try them on. If you dont like any of them at least try some on so that way you'll know what size you are when you order them online.

ive had discharge for about 3 years now and im 13, but i havent gotten my period. i was in health class and it said to get your period you must have boobs[[or small ones..ha like me!]] you get discharge, pubic hair, and on eother thing that i have gotten!!! i think something is rong with me. both sides of my family seem to have gotten there period young, or who ive talked to, my aunt my mom, and my other aunt. is something worong with me???? No theres nothing wrong with you. I didnt get my period until one month before my 14th birthday. Don't worry about it; it will come eventually. You're still young because most girls get it anywhere between ages 9 and about 16. And as for the people in your family who got it young, the age you get your period is not genetic. Everyone is different.

For Easter my family will be coming over my house. All of my cousins are younger than me, and I really don't want them to be bored. Do an easter egg hunt. You could fill plastic eggs with candy and hide them all over your yard. That's always a hit with my little cousins!

You could find a specific product that gives you loose waves. You put it in your hair when its wet and then either blow dry it or let it dry naturally. Also if you know how to french braid (or even regular braiding works too) you could do it before you go to bed and when you wake up in the morning take it out and you should get the waviness your looking for.

ive been with my boyfriend for a year and we literally talk all day, unless like we leave to go somewhere, to eat, and stuff like that. he'll call me right when he wakes up, but i usually call him about an hour or 2 hours after i wake up. he went to his dads house and spent the night on wednesday and stayed there again last night. he probably goes there for like 2 nights every couple of months. there he has 3 step brothers. like 6, 11, and 17. i cant stand the 17 year old and i dont like the younger ones very much since i just dont like little kids. my boyfriend and i have been on the phone the longest at a time maybe an hour? when we are his brothers are talking to him and i cant stand being on the phone and listening to their conversation with somebody else. i count it has we havent really talked for 2 days since we really havent. yesterday i talked to him in the morning for like 30 min then he left for 5-6 hours =/ then he called and we were on the phone for 2 min and his little brothers were begging to jump on the trampoline and like 3 min later he was like can i call you after i eat? and i told him id just call him after i watch a movie. 2 hours later he calls and i was getting into bed. he was silent. 2 whole days u havent talked to me and your going to be silent when we have the chance? and he is never silent, lol he usually never shuts up. he'll wake up around like 8 and its 2 now, no call at all. i took a shower this morning and im all ready to go over to his house but he hasnt even called. we talked about seeing eachother today but it doesnt even seem like he wants to talk. i think he might just want to spend time with his brothers but literally, im like the first priority or whatever in his life. i always come first and he just doesnt seem like making an attempt to talk to me. does he still love me? sorry it was so long (link)

I think the only thing you can do in this situation is talk to him about it. Ask him why he doesnt call you and if he loves you then he will have a good excuse.

Wear something tasteful. I suggest a cute knee length skirt. It should probably be a spring pattern because it will tie in nicely with the occasion. You could then pair it with a matching sweater or t-shirt (depending on the weather). For shoes you could wear cute ballet flats, flip-flops, sandals with a kitten heel, etc.
