after you take a bath/shower, dry it off so it's not totally soaking wet but still pretty damp. then put it all upin a bun - it doesn't have to look good, it's actually better ugly looking. you're going to be sleeping in it anyways. so you do that, and sleep in it. then when you wake up, take it out and it should still be a tiny tiny tiny bit wet, which is good because when it dries it'll stay. then put a tiny bit of mousse - but not too much since you want it to look natural - just enough to hold it. the mousse i recommend is garnier fructis or aussie. they're the best.

You put it in your hair when its wet and then either blow dry it or let it dry naturally. Also if you know how to french braid (or even regular braiding works too) you could do it before you go to bed and when you wake up in the morning take it out and you should get the waviness your looking for.

then when you let it out, its sorta wavy..
also, if you shower before bed, and then sleep with wet hair, your hair can go wavy by all the tossing and turning you do at night.
