Ok...so, there are two sizes, there are regular condoms (trojan, durex, lifestyle, etc.), all of which come in one general size. Then there are the "magnum" size condoms. Now this is funny, but, unless your bf is like HUGE, just stick with general condoms that you see at the store. I would stick with the lifestyle brand. This works the best for me (even though I hate wearing them. He will too :)) Now that you have your condoms picked out, use them correctly. There are directions inside the box. I know that in the heat of the moment, you don't want to be reading directions on the box, so here is my suggestion. You buy the condoms, read up on how to PROPERLY use them, then when you are fooling around with him before you have sex (i.e. oral), how about YOU put the condom on him. This will make it fun for him, and also, you can rest assured that you did it correctly. If this is not how you want to approach it, then make sure he pinches the tip, puts it over the head of his penis (not inside out), and rolls it down. You'll understand when you read the directions. There is no recommended age. I was 13 when I lost my virginity. Some people wait until they are married to lose their virginity. It all depends on what your views and values are. If you don't have any moral issues, do it when you feel that you are ready. If you choose to wait until marriage, then do so. Again, I did it when I was 13, and I don't regret it in any way. Just be sure that when you do choose to have sex, that you are responsible, and ready for it. Good Luck!!
This is going to sound gross at first and I apologize. I'm going to try to word it as maturely as possible. Okay, I was talking to this boy that I sort of like, well, that I'm "attracted" to & he had a "boner" or whatever term you want to use. Ok, yes! guys usually get an erection (AKA: hard-on, boner, stiffy, woody) when they get aroused, but sometimes they get an erection for no reason at all. (I like to call that spontaneous wood). Truth of the matter is that he may or may not have had his erection because you turned him on or "aroused" him. Maybe he was picturing you naked in his mind, or maybe he had his "boner" before you even talked to him. Whatever the reason is, don't feel offended about his erection. If you turned him on, think of it as a complement. That you are sexy enough to get him "aroused". Unless he is putting you into a very uncomfortable situation, just ignore it. Depending on what type (there are several types of birth control pills), the efficacy of the pill is 98%-99.9%. Usually, the doctor will recommend that you complete one to three full cycles before you can rely on the pill as your primary birth control. Now, what you have to understand is that the pill does not protect against any type of STD so be careful. Also, don't smoke if you are on the pill, as this will potentially lead to health problems. Various antibiotics will alter the effectiveness of the pill, so in this instance, if you are not sure, use a back-up method of birth control (condoms). If you refuse to use the condoms, find out from a source (planned parenthood, nurse, pharmacist, etc.) to see if the antibiotic that you are taking will have an interaction with your birth control pill.

Ok, I have experience in this subject. I lost my virginity when i was 13. I don't know if I was ready yet, and many people will say that I was way too young. Looking back,I don't regret any of it. I am actually glad that I did it at that age. Here are a few thing that I would like you to think about though. Are you really ready? Is he pressuring you, or do you really want to do this? If you think you are ready, then go ahead. There is nothing wrong with having sex. Just don't be irresponsible when you do so. USE PROTECTION. There are guys out there that don't want to use condoms. MAKE THEM!! I have to admit, condoms suck, and it feels like 100% better without one on, but the fact of the matter is that one night of pleasure does not outweigh years and years of missing parties and growing up, because you were too busy parenting. Use protection CORRECTLY, and there is nothing to worry about. Don't worry about what your friends have to say. They have their own opinions on sex. A tampon is actually almost the size of a guys finger. Maybe a little skinnier. I'm not a girl, so I don't know first hand, but my understanding is that once you put a tampon in (correctly), you shouldn't be able to feel it. Now, when you insert it, it may or may not feel like a guy is fingering you. Usually when a guy is fingering you, he wiggles his finger around and "feels" you up. Unless you are intentionally wiggling the tampon applicator, the tampon applicator won't wiggle around inside you, so with this rationale, yes, they would probably feel different. As for loosening you up, a finger or tampon won't losen you up. Now if he uses several fingers, this WILL losen you up, but this may not be a bad thing either, because a penis is larger than a finger. If he losens you up using several fingers, the first time you have sex won't hurt as badly. As for popping your cherry (breaking your hymen), this can be done under any circumstance, stretching, tampons, fingereing, riding horses, sex, etc. Don't worry about your hymen breaking though. You are still considered a virgin until you have sexual intercourse regardless if you have your cherry popped or not.

This all depends on how YOUR body develops. For some girls, they develop very quickly (like over the summer months). For others, it may take years, even well into their 20's. If you are expecting your boobs to grow overnight, you are in for a very disappointing morning. :) Some girls start their period early like at 10 years old and their boobs don't start developing until they are in High School. So, as you can see, there is no formula for determining how long it will take before your boobs start to grow. Why is this such a concern anyway? OK...listen up...I have been with my "fair share" of girls. They ALL look different. Don't try to compare yourself to someone else, because everyone is "built" differently. Also, whenever I am "down there" on a girl, I don't really care about what it looks like, I'm just stoked to be "down there"...:) So, take it from me, NO guy will talk about you when they see it. Well, I have glasses and I think that is the reason why no boys like me. My friend, Zoe, has like all the boyz crowding around her and she gets everything she wants. I really don't think that glasses have anything to do with it. I think girls (not all) :) look good in glasses. Well, this all depends on what kind of frames you have....not like the old "big" frames that grandma wears....he he he. Anyhow, I think the underlying problem is that you are comparing yourself to your friend Zoe. Now if Zoe is as pretty as you say she is, then of course all the guys are going to like her. In school, haven't you noticed that most of the guys all talk about the "pretty girl"? If you want guys to like you, just let them know. Don't beat around the bush and drop little hints, expecting them to get the point. Guys don't get it unless you put it in their face. :) The reason why no boys are talking to you is because you are hanging around with Zoe. And I'm not saying that you should not be her friend, all I'm saying is that if you want one of them to like you, just let them know that you like them. It's as simple as that. Don't fear rejection, because all guys fear it too. Trust me, I have had my fair share :). There is one thing that you should watch out for though. The truth of the matter is that MOST of the stuff that you learn in school doesn't apply to the "real world". Here is my take on this question. If you are going to do something in the future that requires math like becoming an engineer, math teacher, pilot, work for NASA, etc. then you should just do enough to get good grades. College is where you learn the really "Valuable" stuff that will be relevant in "real" life. As for now, just do good in school so that you CAN go to college. I know it doesn't make a lot of sense, but college will be the key factor in making a lot of $$ in the future.
i wash my face twice a day (once in the morning, once at night) but after i was my face it gets really shiny. and its really noticable (a few people have asked me why my face is so shiny...which is really embarrasing.)....is there any product that wont clog my pores but will make my face less shiny?

Hi, I'm going on a vaction in 3 weeks and I was woundering if you could loose 15 pounds in that short amount of time. If so can you please tell me what exercises to do.
Ok, it's a juggle between a proper diet and exercise. Do you have a regular exercise routine? My suggestion is this...exercise like 4 times a week. Jogging, basketball, swimming, tennis, whatever...just something to get outside and get your heart beating. When you exercise, do it for at least 40-50 minutes. This is a pretty good time for working out. It's not too long, and not too short. The second suggestion is your diet. Don't eat candy or other "treats" like soda or ice cream. Stay within moderation when eating sweets. Also, eliminate all "hard-core" carbohydrates. This means NO potatoes, pasta, cereal, granola, or bread. Now this diet is pretty strict, but only has to be followed "religiously" for two weeks. It really works. Trust me I've tried it. Just stick with exercise, vegetables, meats, and water for the next two weeks. It is harder than you think so Good Luck!!

summer is coming up and i am going to be swimming ALOT. i got my period at the very end of last summer so i didnt have to worry about swimming. but now that this summer is getting closer i am considering tampons so i can swim whenever i want. my questions are what brand of tampons are best and should i start now so i will be more confortable or will it matter?

I am not a girl, but I can answer your questions because I have "been with" many girls if you know what I mean :) Ok so here we go. There are several different types of tampons out there. Most of the girls that I have been with all use playtex or kotex tampons. They say that tampax is the most uncomfortable. Try to find a "light and easy" tampon with a plastic applicator as opposed to a "heavy" tampon with a cardboard applicator. My recommendation is that you start trying them now. If inserted properly, you shouldn't feel anything. Don't forget to change it though. If you forget it inside yourself, you could get "toxic shock syndrome" which is a bacterial infection. Follow the directions properly instead of listening to friends tell you how to use them because you'd be surprised at how many girls don't know how to actually use tampons. One of my gf's say that if you have trouble getting it inside, then just use a waterbased lubricant to help ease the tampon inside yourself. Give it a couple of shots and don't ever feel embarassed to explore your body. Good Luck!!
Today I was standing in a grassy area when my friend ran at me and knocked me over. I hit the back of my head very hard on the ground and my whole head started aching. I had to lie on the ground for about ten minutes because I couldn't get up. My friend walked me home to make sure I was okay and I felt better. Now I have started to feel sick, my head hurts a lot and I feel very weak and tired. I have had concussion before but my vision was distorted and I actually threw up that time. Is this just normal because I knocked my head or have I got concussion or something?
Sounds like you have a minor concussion. If you ever hit your head so hard that it either makes you sick or your vision goes bad, then thats a good time to visit the Dr. I know its a hassle to go to the Dr's office, but better safe than sorry. Concussions are not something that you should brush off your shoulders. They lead to comas in some cases. Be more careful....people who already had concussions are more suseptable to getting another one. Good Luck!!
k well i want to get a lipring. i dont know how it will look though, so i was wondering if theres a way to get a fake lip ring (that actually will stay on my lip) so i can see how it looks...i dont wanna go thru all that pain for something that will look tacky. any help or suggestions is appreciated!
My recommendation is to either use a "loop" earring and bend it so that it fits on your lip, or even a simple paper clip will work. Just bend it in a way so that it "looks" like a lipring. If you don't like these ideas, go to your local mall and hit up a store like "afterthoughts" or something and ask them if they have "mock" jewelery like fake earrings/liprings. Good Luck!!

Hell yeah she will freak out, unless she has either felt one or seen one before. The way to avoid this, is to either (1) position yourself in a way so that she doesn't feel it, and (2) communicate with her. I know its embarassing to talk about sex stuff, but if you both trust eachother, you can find out where she stands in the whole sex/erection world. If you do tell him, its over. He'll leave you despite the fact that the two of you were in love. He'll be pissed at you for two reasons. (1) you cheated on him and (2) you slept with this other dude before you slept with him. Now, teenagers don't know how to deal with issues like this, and their initial reaction is to just blow up and not care. So, don't expect him to sit and talk with you. Even if you do work it out with him, do you always want to worry about him cheating on you now? because this is a possibility you know. My advice, and it may not be the "right" advice, but if you really do want to salvage the situation/relationship, you have to not have any association with the dude you slept with, and hide the secret at all costs. It't not a matter of getting over these feelings. You just need to make sure that you are ready. Don't set a date...like this summer... just take it as "when it happens, it happens" :) If you are both ready, you won't worry about being beautiful or skinny or too good... it'll just happen....sex is awesome. I enjoy it on a regular basis...Just be sure that you are ready, and careful. Trust me, if this is his first time, he'll be too nervous to even care what you look like. ok so my friend is 15 and her and her bf had sex but the condom broke. well she got this short period for march. it lasted a day and a half she said. shes been eating alot and peeing alot now too. does it sound like shes pregnant? im going with her to planned parenthood tomrrow..but what does it sound like to you guys??
How long ago did this happen? if its been over two weeks, she can save herself the trouble of going in to planned parenthood and just get herself an over the counter pregnancy test. I don't think she is pregnant although it may not be a bad idea to check. Its a good thing that you both are taking an active approach now because if she is pregnant, there are more options if you catch it in the earlier stages. In my opinion, maybe she's just more hungry than usual...and because she's eating, she's peeing (you don't only have to be drinking to go potty!!) Give her the support she needs.....tell her to not worry.
