17/f Last night I went to a mixer and my ex was there. We dated for a really long time and broke up 2 months ago. I got over him pretty easily because he was being a huge jerk. So last night, these 3 boys from his school were really into me, hanging out with me and one of them even put his arm around me. My ex got really mad and kept giving me evil glares. So I went to talk to him, thinking, I don't want to get a glare from him every time we look at each other.
He ended up apologizing for his jerky behavior from our break up. He really did seem sincere. At the same time he told me he is still in love with me and regrets breaking up with me (he broke it off). So I'm confused. If you love someone... why would you be a jerk to them? It sounded like he wanted to get back together with me (but there's no way I would do that after the way he treated me). Problem is, I kind of miss him. At the same time, he was a jerk, and I don't want to go out with a person like that. So I guess my question is, I kind of need help getting over these last few feelings for him. I really miss him... when we went out we had fun (and I wish we would still go out to movies and stuff now but I'm waiting for him to invite me out somewhere). I'm so confused... he loves me, yet was being a jerk to me, and still doesn't want to hang out with me as a friend and stuff. Can anyone make any sense of this situation? Help me fully get over him? There's a chance that he's still trying to get over you, but at the same time, trying to get together with you again. If he was a jerk to you, then I dont think you should go for it. Jerky boyfriends end up breaking up anyways. I'm sorry if you miss him, but sometimes, you have to move on. Try to find another guy that would ask you to go to the movies, hang out, dinner, and stuff. Make use of being single and dont reminise over the past.

If someone asks you out, and you answer yes, then basically you two are dating. If someone asks you out, and you dont wanna date, but still be 'friends with benefits' you should say, "I just think we should be friends. I really like you and all, but I just dont think we are ready." or something like that.

i just got a haircut and its really short. Its like an inch under my ears but i still think its really short. Some guys like short hair. Some guys like long hair. It just depends on the person. Some guys just like girls for their personality. If you're nice enough to talk and interact with other guys, I'm sure they would like you.

Okay here i go, there is this really hot guy at my school named john and he has huge muscles im in 8th grade. He is a huge jock and our families have been friends for a reallyyy longgg time. He is so cute and i happen to really like him. I have no clue if he likes me back. He looks at me a lot we talk often and he trusts me with things. Like he tells me secrets and stuff. he would always tell me like jokeslike watch this and i would watch and he would pull down his pants and say i dont even have to unzipper,he would flex his muscles for me he told me to pat his stomach and tell him if its rock solid. Since I'm a guy, I should know what he's trying to do. There are 2 possible reasons what I think about him possibly liking you.
1.) He probably got a girlfriend to make you 'jealous'. I've personally done that before, but It was a stupid move, because the girl i tried to make jealous, stoped liking me.
2.) He probably likes his girlfriend. He was probably telling you to look at/touch him so he can show himself off. Guys tend to show off muscle to get attention.

No way. Well, if you and him have feelings for each other, and you feel the "spark" when you're with him, then you shouldn't feel you're going fast. A peck on the lips is natural in a relationship. It's more like a step in a closer relationship.

im 15 and it seems like nothing i do is right anymore, i try to keep ontop of everything -- schoolwork, a social life, and all the time i just feel an empty space inside of me, and i feel almost like lonely? can anyone relate?

Omg. I can totally relate to this problem.
I had this exact same problem not that long ago.
I always tried to do good at school (and i still did), it was hard to do it, becuase the thought of a "missing space inside me" kept me off track of things that I was supposed to do. I used to always make myself feel down by saying, "I'm not attractive enough to get anyone." and, "I'll never get the perfect person for me." I had to remind myself that it is MY OPINION, and MY OPINION meant nothing. All you need to do is gather some self-confidence in yourself. Ask your friends on topics to talk to the person you wanna talk to. If you have nothing to say, tell them "So.. Whats up?" or "How was ur day?" ask basic questions to start a conversation. There's ever NOTHING to talk about. There's MILLIONS of things to talk about. Just be yourself, and don't stress yourself on thinkin of what to talk about next.

i've been in this situation. It was one of my worst times. My girlfriend cheated on me with my best friend. I tried talking to her about the whole situation, and i finally knocked some sense into her. Me and her ended up breaking up, but we got back together a couple of weeks later because we still loved each other. So what im trying to say is wait it out a little bit and see if you and him still love each other like all lovers should.

i have to go to summer school for an hour for math. through one of my friends i met this kid who we'll call joe. joe goes to another school but in my area all the schools come to my school for summer school. ok so everyday when i come into school joe comes up to me and gives me a hug and says hello. we've only known each other for maybe 2 weeks and we've only really talked over myspace. when i leave school he gives me a hug too. normally he just says "hey (my name here) how ya doin?" and then i say good an go to class. today when i walked in i gave him a hug as usual and then he said "you look really nice today" and i said thanks and walked to class. normally i would flirt back or something but here's the catch...he has a girlfriend. his girlfriend goes to my school, i think she's 14. she's my best friend's neighbor. she's not a friend of mine but i have nothing against her. on "joe's" myspace is says "i love(girlfriend's name here)" and its all over his myspace. so what is this kid doing? he seems like a nice kid. i can't tell if this is his way of talking to girls normally or if he's flirting. im so confused what's going on?! so I am 17 girl. I have always had a problem with guys. They all think i'm hot, i have no problem getting their attention. But i am not easy (don't want to give you the wrong impression). I have always treated the guys i'm with extreemly well, (not a bitch, not clingy,..and so on) but the guys always treat me like shit.. and basically just play me, it sucks and 90% of my relationships end up with me getting hurt and them not giving a shit. now the other side of my problem, i get some guys that i am not interested in at all and never have been, obsessing over me. i hate being mean so i have a hard time getting rid of them, but i don't lead them on at all. Do i just let them keep liking me and let them figure it out or do i say something, because so far the ignooring hasn't been working, and the last thing i want is to come off as a bitch. One way for you to not get hurt in a relationship is to find the right person for you. Someone who can treat a girl right. Someone who would love you for who you are, and not what you look like. As for the guys obsessing over you, you should just try to 'ignore' them, not intentionally like ignoring, but just try not to do anything that would make them like you more. No guy should think of their girlfriend as their 'bitch' because I think that 'bitch' is a harsh word and I don't tolerate with it.

I'm an 18 year old female.
I met a guy through my online school a year ago (when I was in high school). We started talking on the phone a lot sometimes 8 hours in a day. At first I thought of him more as a friend but as time went on I started to have romantic feelings for him. I know that sounds weird since we've never met but I felt that way nonetheless.
Now it's been 6 months since we started talking, and I love him very much, but not as a boyfriend type.
First off he's not at all what I'm physically attracted to (he's red haired fair skinned and thin build I prefer dark hair dark features more muscular build), but I'm not that shallow so I convinced myself since I loved him for who he was on the inside that the outside wouldn't matter. However now I'm finding myself wishing he looked a lot different, and it bothers me more.
Secondly I'm a libra and he's a scorpio, and whether people believe in the zodiac or not fact is our personalities sometimes clash so badly we have outrageous arguments on the phone.
Thirdly, well really the fact is he's not the guy I dreamed of. He lives three hours away and he wants to get together soon, and his mom wants to bring him (he's not 18 yet), but I don't want to. The thing is I love him so much, but I wish we could be friends. But he wants something much more. I know if I break up with him I'll lose him as a friend and I don't want that he's like my best friend.

If you are not physically attracted to this guy. You have to be honest to him before he asks you out and you really regret not telling him that you are not attracted to him. I'm pretty sure that he would understand how you feel, and he should respect that.

Im so sorry to hear that. I know getting off addiction is hard. It takes a lot of effort to stop something that you're addicted to, but I'm sorry to say that you probably can't change him. You can try to comfort him and try to make him stop, but it will be really hard. You should tell him that you care for him, and you will be really sad if he dies of overdose of drugs. I think that all the advice I can give at the moment. I'm truly sorry.
