Okay... there is this guy who goes to my school and we were talking online and i know he liked me because he asked me if we wanted to hang out and we even made plans and he seemed realllly excited. but then he messaged me this morning and was like sorry this isnt going to work its just going to be too awkward im sorry to lead you on. (weve never hung out in person before)
I know my ex bf left me a comment that was kinna angry because he knew about this new guy. So that may have added to him sending me this message. But like he just seemed SO excited about hanging out and i KNOW he liked me. I told him i agree and I could see myself liking him but it might be too soon. And he said we should be friends for now.
The friends for NOW still gave me hope.. but im just really confused. Im thinking he may have just like freaked out or something. Ahh what you you guys think? Thanks soo much. (link)

guys sometimes do act upon instinct. they will make plans without thinking and then realize that they actually did have something else to do with the family or something. my brother is exactly like that.
does this new guy know your old bf? maybe he felt he would be betraying him by hanging out with you. just make it clear to him that you just want to be friends. If you send that vibe out first, he won't feel bad and you may evolve into more!

i like this kid a lot and whenever we talk it's interesting and he's really open and sweet and i know he's been hurt in a relationship before. now he doesn't really want a relationship because of the history with his last one but i still want to talk to him and get to know him and for him to get to know me but i've run out of conversation starters and topics in general. we're in 2 classes together but talking about school never starts a deep conversation.
he doesn't do sports so don't say that please. like i said he's really open about stuff when we talk but it's hard to find topics that he'd be interested in talking about. also i don't want to talk to him in the way that he'd think of me as "one of the guys" or just a friend because eventually after he gets over this no relationships, lets be single thing i'd really really really REALLY like to go out with him. i've liked many guys before but this is the first guy in 2 years that i've gotten butterflies over when i think about him so i really need help. well i usually talk to guys about what they did that day that was interesting. like get his # and talk to him about stuff that happened in your day. this guy i like and i keep this list on our computers or notebooks of random things that came into our minds that day and then we talk about them on the phone. it may not seem like the most interesting of things to do, but it really works, and you will look forward to his call each day!
and he will so not look at you as "one of the guys"

ok, so there are kind of different meanings to the term "flirting"
to some people, it could mean putting on the dumb blonde act, twirl your hair, you know that bit.
but its pretty much like acting sillier than normal with a guy. like tell him he smells really good or play with his hair, u kno? joke around a bit and stuff it sort of comes naturally when you really like a guy. just don't go over the top.

Okay, i know this is going to sound really comceted, but theres this guy in my school, who really likes me! But i dont like him, and he follows me everywhere, and keeps asking me on dates and stuff, and me being a softie, make up an excuse! Then he asks again and again! My bff and i have always been close, and we still are, were freshmen in High school, and both go to two different skools. We call each other everyday, and c eachother whenever we can! But i can't help think that she likes her new friends better than me. I mean, i made new friends too, theyre real cool and all, but you need your bff, you kno? it is okay for your bff to make other friends. you can't expect her to go through high school alone and friendless!! but bffs just have something that can never take them apart. you have to hold on to that. go to some high school dances together (and gossip about all the cute guys afterwards at like a sleepover or something!!!)
or you could invite her to places with your new frends. if she won't make the effort with you, try getting a day wen ur new frends AND your bff are free and plan a movie day or something. if you have known eachother "forever" she won't leave you out in the dust.

In my house we have a family dog, that everyone loves, including me. She sleeps with everyone, and everyone shares her bla blah blah. I want my own dog, like a small one. That i can say is just mine, and just for me. I certainly won't forget about my own family dog, because i love her more than Harry Potter, my problem is my mom doesn't want another dog. My dad said its fine, but nobody understands how bad i want this thing. It means alot to me, to have my own unique dog that i can calll my own, and not the famimlys. My brother and sister don't help much either. So, what should i do? (link)

about a week before the big day, plan out exactly what you are going to say. find out the types of small dogs that are easy to care for and make it obvious that you are going to do all the work for this dog. locate a place where they have dogs that you are interested in.
make a big presentation to show your family you really are serious about it, etc
show them that you are responsible and can handle all of this. show them they don't have to do much. BE PREPARED!! (isn't that a song?)

I have a neice who lives with me, only seven years old. Im fourteen, and you know, we fight alot. This really aggravtes my parents, and Rays (Neices name) mom. But they dont believe me when i say that she starts most of the fights. Anyways, getting to the point. I really dont want to tell my parents or my friends this but- sometimes she really gets under my skin, and hurts my feelings. I know, it sound so stupid, but we used to be really close when she was little, i dont know what happened. I really dont. When i pass by her in the family room, shes watching tv, and VERY INNAPPROPRIATE THINGS! She watches mtv, and shes only seven! Shes clearly (in our family) not allowed to watch anything pg-13. Fair enough, so SHE DOES. She has full control of the remote, and knows where all the channels are. I just caught her watching jerry springer! Ive tried telling my mom and dad, but they wont listen to me. They say shes just an 'innocent little girl' and how the heck could she watch something like that?

seriously, i think this is getting to her head, she just said her first curse word yesterday, i curse alot, lol, but i mean shes only SEVEN! I really dont want her to grow up badly.

Okay, so it seems to me like you've had enough. I know exactly how you feel. I have a little sibling who seriously gets on my nerve 24/7! she loves getting me in trouble, too.
you really do have to learn how to be the better person, if you know what I mean. If she is getting under your skin, ignore her!! That's the thing little kids hate the most. I know it sounds tough, but you have to get used to keeping your tongue inside your mouth (oh, you know what i mean!!!)
as for Ray watching naughty things, that really isn't your problem. So don't worry about it! It is for Ray's mom to deal with. believe me, she wlil catch on.
when your niece screams and shouts, don't tell her to stop!!! don't do anything!!! walk away calmly, and show her that she cannot get to you.
so, she acts like an "angel", why don't you pick up the act too?!

Hello I've got a story. Well, I was with this guy for 4 months, then we had to break up because of his parents,(they didn't like the fact that i was 13, 14 now, but he was 17) and so..we broke up. A month after, we got back together, he told me "I don't care what my parents say." so it was a month there, then broke up because of this girl. She didn't know we was going out, and she randomly brought up that he was all over this girl. So finally, I told her we was going out, and my boyfriend didn't want me to..so see I'm confused, he said "she starts stuff." and now I see that she does, but I know he would NEVER cheat on me, he even told it to my face, but when we when out the 2nd time, he never had time to call me, cause he was so busy with school, work, football, ect.
So what do I do? I want him back, but I don't know if I should ask him or not..I asked him the first time, but we kinda both agreed. But the girl that knows we broke up..wants me to go with this one guy, but I'm still in love with my ex..it's so hard to talk tohim now, and he just says "ttyl, bye" and not I love you.
But this new guy, we talk everyday on the phone for hours, and makes me smile, laugh. The sad thing is, me and my ex never had anything to talk about..even tho it was 4 months, we just had nothing. But now I'm not so shy and I have things talk about. I mean, we talked, but just not like me and this new guy talk, but now it'll be different.
So what do I do? Go with this new guy? P.s., he likes me! So yeah.. Think I should give him a chance?

well i liked my friend for like the longest time now. we dont go to the same school anymore but hopefully ill go to school with him next year. the thing is i saw him yesterday and its like i didnt like him anymore. that should be a good thing because we cant be more that friends but at the same time it kinda hurts me. its just that without my feelings for him i feel empty. he was the one that kept me going and taught me so much about myself and now i feel like i lost that. we're still friends and all but i cant control these feelings and i wish that there was someone i could trust but i cant... so i read this over a few times. i think you two need to reconnect a bit. make up for lost times. you guys could do something chill at first like invite him over and just watch a movie with some other friends so your not pressured to talk. but start doing more things with him around. if there is a dance coming up, ask him to go as friends and see where it takes you.

well, for my phone convos, i always ask the other person how their day was and that usually gets it started. like if the person says they went to an amusement park like six flags, you could end up talking about it for a while. you have to be willing to go into a topic and not jump from topic to topic too quickly.
also, talking about new movies, music, and tv stuff is always a favorite with friends.
For your dad, ask him how work is, how everything is. if he went to any cool restaurants or did anything fun met any cool people. you know, that kinda stuff.

Do you think it is safe if me and my friend both go to NYC together? We're 15 and we live in NJ but it's kinda close & we can get there by bus.
We've gone to NYC like a lot of times but never by ourselves.. & We know how to get around, but it's like.. do you think we will get kidnapped or something? I haven't really heard of that happening & with so many people why would they take us..? But idk, what's your opinion? (link)

If your parents are okay with it, I'm surmising it would be fine. Kidnappers usually try to, um, steal i guess, people who are totally alone. So you guys have to stay together, especially in bathrooms, (unless it's one with only one toilet lol)
And it's good that you know your way around. That's a definite plus so you and your friend will be ok. And if you are second guessing, bring along another friend. the more the merrier.

I AM SO BORED!!!
seriously, there's like nothing to do at my home.
the weather here is crap (rainy and boring) so i can't go outside, my friends are all busy this summer, my parents are working all day so its just me, my brother, my cousin and my grandma at home, but my brother and cousin are with their friends all the time... so basically it's just me and my grandma. But I have no fun around my grandma because she's always in the garden or cooking or something really boring for me.
Sooo i don't have a ride anywhere (i'm 14/f) and i'm sooo bored!
I watch like 3 or 4 movies a day (which is waaay too much for me) and I spend about 2 hours on the computer each day. Aghh i think i'm going to die!
somethings wrong with me.... i really want to do something, but then whenever an idea comes up, i turn it down and i'm stuck being bored.
HEELLPP!! what can i do to make myself more open to ideas and have fun this summer?? thanks so much (link)

well, if u have summer reading to do, you should get that done. i know that's not so fun for some people, but it's something to do tht won't rot your mind.
If there is a pool in town, you should sign up for it. It's a great way to make new friends.
You could get together with some friends that you haven't had contact with in forever.
I know this may sound boring, but grandmothers usually have wisdom and know A LOT about old things like movies and celebs from back then and sometimes that kind of stuff is really cool. You could help her with gardening, learn a new recipe with her, and just talk.
You could learn a new thing like teach yourself to play an intrument like piano or guitar or even like recorder (lol) or if there is a community place you could take dance or theater or some sport.
You could round up a bunch of people for a day of fun playing sports and games (like water balloons) in the day and then watch\a movie at night or something.
Sleepovers are always fun You could have a spa-type things with makeovers.=D Maybe on a day your parents are not working you could go to an amusement park around.
You could go on daily jogs to stay in shape if your tired of tv and computer and listen to music while your doing that. It's a great way to get into good music.

i would ask your friends if they are. if they are, just get your friend something inexpensive but meaningful, you know? if your friends aren't, i wouldnt, but if you still want to get your friend something small, go for it. it's not like your friend will be mad. if u were your friend, wouldn't you like if someone gave you something nice and creative?

If you know she doesn't like you for sure, then why are you still after her. I suggest talking to other girls, getting to know them now so you can broaden your horizons. Don't totally rule out the girl you like a lot, but don't let a crush rule your love life. Go out with someone new and if it doesn't work out, move on.

well i try not to be jealous over the smallest thing, which this seems to be. it is a possibility that he has a friend that likes her or something like that...
if he is your boyfriend, he is obviously committed to you and you only. i wouldn't make it into a big deal if I were you.
