Well, I'm Kate and this is my advice column thing. I got this whole website thing from a friend in her profile, and I thought I'd try it. Ask me about anything and I'll try my best to help you out. I'm 13, so I might not be able to answer some more "mature" questions, but I'll try.

Does anybody know any Fruity Smoothies that are good for you, and don't have a lot of extra sugars and fats. So basicly recipes for a healthy smoothie?
A really good smoothie is a mix of pulp-free orange juice, frozen strawberries, 3/4 of a banana and vanilla yogurt. Blend this all up and you've got a really yummy and decently healthy smoothie.
my mum had this friend and she was my mums friend for ages.She used to act really nice around me and never show me that she did not like me!The other day my mum told me that her friend used to call me and my brothers retards this has made me so angry and it keeps playing on my mind.She has also been very bad to my mother!I think she might be jealous of my brothers and me because we are all successful.I beat her son in our gcses and i think this made her hate me!What i am asking is why does she call me and my brothers retards when we are not it makes me so angry.My mums other friend said its because she thinks i am pretty i don't know please advice me.
Your mom's friend probably said that because she wanted to insult you. This doesn't mean what she said is true, from what you said I can guess you're not a retard, but she meant to hurt your feelings. It seemed to work, so talk to your mom about it, and tell her how you feel. I don't understand why this woman is so mean to you!
Hi i'm 13 years old and my mom said that I can not use a tampon until I break my hymen or have sex but she said if i have sex she will kick me out of the house and my mom said that i could kill my self if i use a tampon how do you kill yourself with a tampon and do you have to break your hymen to use a tampon cause most of my friends use them.
You can't really kill yourself with a tampon. You can get TSS, but that's only if you leave your tampon in for a really long time, which most people are smart enough not to do. The first time you use a tampon, it usually breaks the hymen which is painful. After a while, you get used to it. Tell your mom that you want to use a tampon and you understand that she thinks you're too young, but you'd like to at least try it to see if you would want to wear them.
ok so yesterday i was supposed to pick up my boyfriend to go to the movies with some friends. But my mom was being a bitch and didn't pick him up. So i felt bad throughout the whole movie because i couldnt get ahold of him at his house and i guess he was just waiting at his house. So i bought him skittles and im making him a big card but what could i do to make it up to him? i want to bring him somewhere or something. i rate 5's for good answers.
Get a hold of him as soon as you can and apologize. Explain to him exactly what happened and ask if you can make it up to him. Next time maybe go just you and him, so you can get some alone time together. The card and skittles are a good idea. It shows him how sorry you are, and how bad you felt.
okay so when you get your period and you have to count how many days until your next...do you start counting from the last day you got your period or from the first day you got it?
Start counting from the day you got it. Like if you got it on the seventh, you would get it around that date next month, from the 5-9th. You always have to give or take a few days if you just got your period, because it's still irregular.

This is never an easy situation. But it's even worse when you put off breaking up and you're stuck feeling guilty because of your other interest. You need to sit down and talk to your boyfriend. Tell him that he is the best friend you've ever had, and you think that it was better that way. Be as nice as you can, and give him space if he needs it. If he's as in love with you as others say, he'll need a lot of time to recuperate (spelling?). He might get nasty with you at times, but that's only because he's really upset and trying to get back. It's going to be very emotional, but if you feel that it's the right thing to do, go for it.
Yesterday I was trying to crack a glow stick and it exploded in my mouth. Only a little bit of liquid came out and I spit it all out and rinsed out my mouth. It burned my tounge..Does that mean it was toxic? Would I know if I was poisined by now? Please reply quick so I will know how to treat this!
You don't have to worry-they're non-toxic. The only thing they will do is taste really bad (that's why it fealt like it was burning) and your tongue might glow a little. You rinsed and everthing, so you should be okay.
well im going out of town tomorow to go and visit some old friends. im going to go to school witht them, but i used to be really wierd and shy... how can i make it seem like ive changed fro the best... i look a lot diferent (like prettier) and ive gotten taller/etc... but what else cna i do to make them all say "woah!! shes hott!"
From the additional info you sound like you're really skinny, which is a good thing. Wear clothes that make you feel really good about yourself (it's okay if you think you look hot in them too, lol) and try to act casual. Smile a lot and try to enjoy yourself. If you think you look good, your expression will show it and you'll have more fun. A person who's comfortable with themselves image wise is a LOT more fun to hang out with.
I have a 12 yr old cuzin who i'm really beginning to get worried about. The thing is, she's starting to get into this whole emo look by dressing up in all black and stuff and the worst part is that she even told me that she's started cutting herself. I really don't understand why she would do this because my aunt and uncle treat her with kindness and respect. The problem is that she's always so negative towards everyone and my aunt tells me that she doesn't have a single friend at school. I try to help her but she simply brushes me off and i don't know what to do before this case gets seriously worse. Please help!
You need to talk to your parents about this. You may not want to for obvious reasons, but habing your cousin hate you might be better than her seriously hurting herself. Nobody should have to go through something as tough as teenage years without any friends. It might be difficult, but just try to be there for her through it all. She'll really appreciate your concern later on.
now that its summer and really hot out. i sweat a lot, especially on my face. does anyone know what i can do to prevent my make-up from smearing or any good cover-ups/foundation/concealers that will out-last the humidity and weather? thanks. i will rate you good. =)
Just about any make-up dealer has a line of waterproof makeups (eyeliner, mascara, foundations, etc.). They're usually a little more expensive than the normal make-up, but its really worth it.

If you're sort of adventurous, you could play truth or dare for a while (I know it's an old game but my friends and I always have fun with it) and when it gets a little later break out the forks and TP. TP that person that's just really been bugging you lately. If you aren't that type of person though, see if your parents will let you rent movies. Get come chick flicks and while watching them, give each other crazy makeovers. Make sure to take pictures, it's hilarious the next morning.
ok so i am 16 female and i was going to meet up with this boy tomorrow he has never met me and i have never met him i promised him last week thing is i have spots on my head now.I can't meet him with spots i mean its like 4 spots on my forehead.i have never had spots before.What shall i do chicken out and tell him i will meet him next week.i mean its better than him seeing me with spots..... or anyway i can get rid of them by tomorrow.
They make a special acne fighter for that. See if you can pick some up. It's like spot cleanser or something, sorry I forgot the name of it. It's supposed to work so quickly that the blemish is reduced in eight hours. If you can't get some of this, make sure to keep your face really clean and use concealer. It's better that the guy know you for who you are. If you really want to meet him and hope he likes you, he should like you spots or not!

I know of three music downloading softwares: Napster, Ares (spelling?) and Limewire. They're all illegal, but I have friends who use them and haven't been caught. Just be careful!
