So we have this science project in Chemistry. The type of projects that go to like the little science fairs and stuff. We can do it with a partner if we want but we don't have to. But the only partner work is the actual experiment. We have to write the papers separately.
Well, I'm always at the school an hour and a half before school starts so I can do the experiment I plan to do at school in the mornings since I have absolutely no time after school. And I'm the kind of person that has to measure out everything and stuff to make sure everything is precise. (Slightly OCD there).
Now that I've said those couple of things:
I asked Bailey if she wanted to do the project with me on Friday without really thinking. She's a smart girl, but very pyro and lazy in her own ways. And she doesn't really have any ideas to input into the experiment other than something relating to fire...and using something including a fire for an experiment isn't a good idea with her. She'll burn something down I swear.
Right now I'm contemplating over whether I do or don't want a partner for the project. Should I work with a partner or not? If I should, should I suck it up and work with Bailey or find someone that I'll be more compatible working together with? If not, how should I tell her NICELY that I want to work alone (i.e. excuses that can get me out of it).

I've been in school for a week, and I feel/am so alone! I hate it so much. I came home crying. My parents keep saying it will get better after half a year or so..but I don't want to be the loner walking around on my own for 4 months! I've talked to some people...they are nice but they aren't exactly friends.
I hate being like this, and since all the lessons are mixed up, you don't have many lessons with the same people.
Can anyone give me ANY advice...and how could I make some friends at least?

Try to keep talking more to the same people,you could tell them about your problems so they see that you trust them,ask them what they advice you,for their opinion,then you ask them their's,say stuff that are true,try not to be funny because people say when they try not to it makes them funnier.Follow them around,conversate into what they are talking about, don't worry you'll make friends soon.

Well there are options here you either remind your teacher to collect the homework or just let a couple of days without doing the homework,see what happens or do it anyways because some teachers when ever they feel like it they decide to collect all the homework during the week,and I understand how you feel I've had been in this situation before.

Well Im going to start my last year of secondary, year 11 and we'll have o levels. the thing is... school is just SO depressing and sad. i have to get up at 7am and im NOT a morning person...the initials of my school are actually S.A.D. Its an all girls school! And the uniform is grey =/. And the rules are SO strict..we cant even choose what color bobble to wear in our hair...has to be wine coloured or black =/. Don't lose hope I felt the same way before,then as soon as I knew it I made a lot of friends you just need to be social you know go out there,talk to people who are sitting next to you,greet them,if someone needs to borrow something like a pen or anything,you have extras lend them,ask their name,present yourself,go from there.You got to have faith that you will land up with one of your friends,as far as the boys you can meet guys in clubs,in the gyms they have available where people workout,stuff,other entertainment places.

A verb would be like leyendo for a verb,for a noun it would be lentes or lapiz for a noun.You can say "me gusta ir al cine","me gusta usar lentes cuando voy a la playa",Cuando escribo me gusta usar un lapiz especialmente para examenes","en la biblioteca me gusta estar leyendo libros interestantes"

Do you believe going into High School will give you a fresh start? I mean during elementary I was still popular but I was made fun of still quite a bit and alot of rumors were present. Do you think they will still be going around when i start grade 9? Alot of my friends say this is the summer where everyone changes. At my school alot of the guys said i was ok looking but none were ever interested in me and now I find a few high school guys think im hot but I dont understand how I can go from kinda ugly to hot in about a month. Does this all mean I get a fresh start? Or will grade 9 just be like grade 8 with just a few more people? Im sorry this is kind of confussing but all answers welcome. Thank You (link)

Yes,highschool is a fresh start when you first go there but,my experience in highschool at freshman year was great,no rumors were being spread that could ruin my reputation,there are guys who have different tastes,think another way,a lot who are looking for a partner.So you get to make a lot of friends,crushes,plenty of respect if you know how to show them you're a nice and decent person.

I need your opinions. I will be a freshman this monday, and I only know like 2 people in my highschool becuase I moved to a diff side of town. My problem is, I'm scared to like stand at the bus stop becuase the people standing there will all know each other, and I'll just be standing there all awkard, but I'm not sure if my mom should drive me becuause im not sure if thats like "cool", and I'm not sure if it's a bad idea not to ride the bus the 1st day and get used to it. I need your opinions on which would be best. thanks!

I've seen a lot of parents drive,let their kids get out of the car by themselves,I don't see it as embrassing but, you can let your mom drive you for those couple of days because you're probably not ready to go on your own yet,then you could take the bus.If you feel that you are then wait for the bus on the first day of school so you can get the hang of it,you won't be afraid anymore,bring along the friends you know so it will be easier,and you'll feel comfortable,and have people to talk to.

im really smart but since like 4th grade i hadnt really been showing it.but last year i decided to step it up and show everyone and myself that i am smart.well i got highest average in english/math/science and overall A average.most of my friends are really smart so because i wasnt doin so good in the prveies years i didnt have the smartest kids in my class.it wasnt like the slow class it was just filled with peeps that didnt care enough to try and i did and thats why i succeeded!well because i did so good last year i convinced my dad(the principle)to put me in the classes with all my smart friends! i could handle most all of the stuff but im in highschool now and for some reason they decided that honors students were gonna be doing a lot of stuff!example--1stperiod i have honors english 2cnd period regular math 3rd period regular science 4th period p.e. 5th period german 6th period honors civics and economics and now they are making just the 9th grade honor class take a seventh period which is a honors world history!thats 3 e-fn honors classes and i also play varsity volleyball(which i cant give up because i worked to hard to convince my dad that i can do good in school and play sports and i also looove volleyball)!!!!i really want to be in the class with al my friends and i really like having honors english cus im very good at it but im not sure if i can handle everything else!i know im capable cus im a pretty smart student but ive never been in so many advanced classes before! accually ive never been in advanced classes before at all.i was suppose to be in honors english last year but they couldnt do it cus of the other classes i had!i want to be ahead and be able to do everything in my reach to get into a good colledge and hopefully a free schalarship but im afraid that i wont be able to do it!im sooo scared that ill fail the advanced classes and it will screw me up royally for my first year in highschool!any advice on this would help-maby some tips to keep up my grades or a word from the wise!THANZ! Remember your health is first,so if this is affecting your sleep a lot,making you extremely tired,you are being weakened by it,stressed,you can take stressed pills to deal with the stress,drink coffee daily but if it still keeps on then you're going to have to give up something for your own good,you need to have time to have fun,enjoy your highschool years,live a normal teenage life,and try to handle it if you can.To keep up your grades you need to study regularly,focus well,pay attention in class,don't let others disturb you,even take some notes while the teacher is speaking on things you feel are very important even if the teacher doesn't write it on the board,because another reminder they don't write every single thing they say or sometimes they may even forget it's important to write down.

I am so confused. I liked this guy (let's callhim Joey) since 6th grade. After he turned me down for a school dance in 7th grade, I just accepted him as my guy friend and believed that I was lucky to have him as a friend who'll always be there instead of a boyfriend that won't last. But now that he's in 3 of my classes and at the school orientation I talked to him, I think I'm starting to like him again!
I mean he's really sweet and fun to be with. And he slightly likes me (so I think) because he kept on trying to strike up conversations and stared at me during the classroom visits. (We're going into hihg school now). Ahhh I'm just confused about him. (link)

It's possible that his feelings have changed or are changing,could develop into something more than friends but get into illusions yet you got to make sure it's what you think I don't want to see your heart broken again,if you find out he doesn't move on,meet other guys who interest you,you shouldn't spent too much time if you don't want your feelings to grow towards him,just get the doubts out,get things clearly,and hopefully he feels the same way you do.

Ok heres the deal. I've gone to private school since 1st grade except for one time at the beginning of 6th and I switched back to private later that year. I left bc the work was too easy and I didn't fit in, I was really quiet. Now I'm not as shy. Now I HATE my private school it's 25 minutes away and they all have more money that me and I don't like most of the kids! Also, there's only 12 kids total in my grade! I'm going to a public highschool and private's a lot differnt. My mom talked to the public schools new principal and he said he'd put me in a more challenging class that fits me and they would give me more work if I needed it. The only thing is my mom's the secretary at my private school and I don't know if I should leave her cause I'd feel bad and she tells me don't worry it might work out better. The only reason I would stay at my private school is bc it's my 8th grade year and we get class trips that are fun. Yet, at my private school we only have a few teachers, we have 3 main teachers and thats it. I hate one of them too. I know a few people at my public school and they tell me I should go to their school. I'm still afraid I won't fit in at public though? What school would u choose. Thank u!!! (link)

Some ideas well that would involve you to go outside but sometimes you would have to take risks like one is try to make an agreement with them or make some homemade food for them to show your nice people or to go on strike.If those ideas don't work then extreme measures would have to be taken like to have the abuses filmed,reported to the police.As for you to cope I say to pray,stay confident,strong because your family will need someone to look up to,it is probably you.Good luck!

this isn't really a big deal but im really nervous about it--
okay, so i go to a private school, and i have since 6th grade.(im in eighth now)And today we just got some serious news. Our school is also a church, and the church is moving to a different building next year. They pay for half of our school, and we're a poor school as it is, so we cant pay for it all on our own. So there's this school thats about 15 minutes away from my school, and its huge.Its really nice inside, and they have air conditioning (which we dont have) and its super nice there. But im so nervous because its a whole new school, new people, and im not so great at making friends. Im outgoing and hyper and stuff but my weakness is making friends, and im not really good friends with anyone in my class, so i really wanna make friends there. If I were you I would go to this school like I was getting transfer to this big school,I was very nervous,also I was afraid of getting lost but once you get the hang of it you won't get lost for sure,and observe how the room numbers go but I made lots of friends so can you!What you got to do is since you are not good at it talk to someone who you see sitting alone then start a conversation like say hi,introduce yourself to him/her then ask how they feel about the school,and all.Also this school you say is nice,has air conditioning which is great especially for the summer stop thinking about it go,even though there will be a lot of new people there have confidence in yourself which is very important, for sure you will achieve things, and succeed in life don't lose it!Hope everything goes fine!

Okay, I'm one of those people who hates homework questions, but for some reason I'm in honors english 2 this year, I don't know how I made it, but I did.
Anyway, we have a definition paper, and I have to have the intro paragraph done by Monday. Well I've asked around, and have an okay idea of what a thesis statement is, but I'm still confused on how to come up with one. It's a definition paper, and though I would rather just get help on writing it, as in, I'm not asking for answers, just help on making one. My word is hate, because we had to pick a word to describe the holocaust.
But really what I'm asking is how can I come up with a thesis statement for that. I'm not saying "do my homework" feel free, I don't care, but if you come up with the thesis statement for me, at least tell me how you got it. A thesis statement for the holcaust could be that "The holocaust affected the people majorly"or "The holocaust was an event of total destruction for the people"or the holcaust brought out many terrifying times for the people that live during that historical event" choose one of them there all very good thesis statements.

What you could say is that you agree with the quote that is said,support your answers with details,good reasons why like imitating someone will just make a person less smarter than the person they imitate,and imitation brings out bad image of someone's reputation.Also that uniqueness in a real man is rare to find in which others seek for to obtain.Also you could include strong words,and even facts which is better but you don't have to but it will make it a very great essay though it's your choice.

A good topic would be on air pressure,how does air pressure affect certain objects,use cans,an egg,a bottle,test,keep water inside the upside down cup.Another one would be which battery would las the longest,for this project you will study,how its power can be increased,learn it's structure,and try finding all the different types of batteries on the market or other stores where they sell electronics.Or which lawn sprinkler is the best,compare all types of lawn sprinklers,make a model of it,and design it.Pick which ever one you decide you're more into want to do.

well......tommara is my first day in the 8th grade!! woopii!! im excited.. but the problem is that half of my skool is moving 2 a different skool becuzz they decided 2 move the skool border line things...well the line is on a road..that is about a mile away frum my house!!! and only pepl i no frum my elementary skool n sum other pepl r stayin but i donno who 2 sit with for lunch!! lmao.....and my best friend...i hate all of her friends....and they dont like me very much... You could still hang out with your best friend somewhere else and let her know that her friends don't like you so you don't feel right sitting with them.Go try sitting to the nice people ask them anything about school,life,sports,etc..Don't sit near people you don't feel comfortable sitting near bring something with you just in case you get bored there.

Drink coffee or put your alarm clock at the time you should wake up to dress up,eat breakfast,brush your teeth,and all.Also go to sllep early so you could be able to get up early which is another good idea.

Pick the one you want to go to not because people want you to it's your decision.In a catholic school is very good but also you have to be paying money to attend there and take classes.But a public school is free and you will see a lot of people at that level attend there.If you feel that you got used to be in a catholic,like it there then don't go to a public school but if you feel you want to try something new then pick a public school.Your choice.

Our school has banned Abercrombie from our school. They say that the shirts are too sexual and distract the "learning environment." Today a friend of mine was wearing and Abercrombie shirt that said "Will work forehand jobs" and was given a saturday detention and they made him take it off. The same thing happened to a guy wearing a shirt that had a video game controler and said "wanna play?" Yes I get that those shirts can get you in trouble but what's wronge with regular Abercrombie shirts that don't have anything to do with sex? And not to mention pants. Well, us students want to get them to let us wear Abercrombie to school again becasue not ALL their shirts are like that. WE have no idea wear to start. Any ideas? (link)

What you could do is get people to sign a petition which is agreements from people to agree to help you to succeed on voting something important but if you don't get enough people you will lose the petition try convincing people to sign it by telling them the importance of freewill doing things or wearing things you like to and tell them it is for a very good purpose or cause.
