Going Into High School
Do you believe going into High School will give you a fresh start? I mean during elementary I was still popular but I was made fun of still quite a bit and alot of rumors were present. Do you think they will still be going around when i start grade 9? Alot of my friends say this is the summer where everyone changes. At my school alot of the guys said i was ok looking but none were ever interested in me and now I find a few high school guys think im hot but I dont understand how I can go from kinda ugly to hot in about a month. Does this all mean I get a fresh start? Or will grade 9 just be like grade 8 with just a few more people? Im sorry this is kind of confussing but all answers welcome. Thank You

Haha, I understand your dilemma. Last year was my 9th grade year, and I can tell you, people change.
I go to a pretty small high school, so if yours is bigger, it's better. I HIGHLY doubt people will be making fun of you, trust me. I used to get made fun of a lot in 8th, but in 9th, I didn't see half of my class.
Truth is, you won't see most of your class anymore because of all the classes, and some classes with upperclassmen, you know? Don't sweat it.
Only, I think if you just stick to friends from your class, I guarantee High School won't be all that fun. Mingle with upperclassmen, get introduced to them. Sports, clubs, anything. Don't sit in the dark or you won't have a good time.

it depends on how you act... if you act like you really want to make a fresh start, and then you make new friends, then yes, that is definitely possible! but if you go back to doing the same thing you were doing last year then there's really no change. try something new! there are tons of clubs and stuff. i started taking swing dancing lessons and i met tons of people! nobody will remember what happened last year because they are too self centered around the beginning of the school year. one thing though... unless somebody older than you specifically befriends you, it's probably a good idea to stay away from upperclassmen. not necessarily because they might think you're uncool, but because you don't know them like you know the people in your grade and they might not be the best of friends with you. i mean, i have upperclassmen friends, but i don't really go around making friends with older people to look cool. good luck, high school is fun :)

Yes,highschool is a fresh start when you first go there but,my experience in highschool at freshman year was great,no rumors were being spread that could ruin my reputation,there are guys who have different tastes,think another way,a lot who are looking for a partner.So you get to make a lot of friends,crushes,plenty of respect if you know how to show them you're a nice and decent person.

people do change over summer. and mabye the reason you 'were ugly' and now 'your hot' is because youve matured over summer. going into highschool for me was a change for different reason: you find out who your real friends are, more and more people are into drugs and sex. etc. etc. youll probably get involved in different things that are not necassarly bad but may not be good. sorry this may be confusing but going into highschool will most likely change you in either good ways or bad ways or both. but its ok just go with the flow and youll relize when your changeing. hope i helped
