Q: What types of shoes are good to wear to walk around in for a whole day that aren't sneakers?
Ballet flats. They are practical, comfy, and can go with a pair of jeans or a dressy skirt. And, they are not hard to find lately because they are still in style.

Q: Does anyone know any really cool stores that sell clothes like Urban Outfitters and American Appearal? If you could just give me a link to the store's website that'd be great. Thanks!
Ahhhh, those are two of my favorite stores! I also really like H&M, which I am sure you have heard of, (they don't sell merchandise on their website, so no need to give you one.) And also, I have recently gotten into this website called http://www.karmaloop.com/ It's freakin' awesome. And right now they are having this huge sale. And they carry some BBDakota and LOOP on their site, which I really like. (They're fun brands.)

Q: would i need liquid eyeliner for this: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v342/MostOpenHeartBrk/010.jpg
I think I am going to be the first NO. I use black eyeliner nearly everyday, sometimes I switch it up and go with aqua, purple, green, et cetera, but for the most part black. And because I use it nearly everyday I don't feel so bad for splurging so much on eyeliner. I used this black eyeliner that is by Too Faced, it's called "Liquid Lava" Eyeliner. It's the best stuff ever created! It's a liquid eyeliner in a pencil form. So you can hold it, get way more control, but it still is smooth enough to go on as an eyeliner. It's awesome stuff. It'll run you about $18-$19 though. And you can buy it at Sephora, or really I guess any department store that sells the brand Too Faced. Um, if you aren't willing to spend that much though, and just want to try this look pictured for a day, I'd just go with a cheap liquid liner.

Q: I straighten my hair with a iron every morning because my hair is naturally curly and I can't anything with it. I've been Straightening it for almost a year. Now, my hair is dry, brittle, fried and i have split ends! I put hair stuff on it before i straighten it but it doesnt seem to work. Does anyone have any suggestions on what i should use to fix it or to put on it before i staighten it. Am i going to have to stop straightening my hair???
I've been straightening my hair for 4ish years. Never have I had a problem with it and my hairdresser never ceases to be amazed that I straighten it at 400 degrees everyday. I also have extremely think, wavy hair. What am I trying to get at? Some peoples hair can take it and others really can't, especially every day. Gosh, for now, I would stop, cold turkey. You don't want your hair getting any worse. And trust me, it can. For the split ends, go to a professional and get those cut off, and then from there get a good conditioner and wait until your hair is strong and healthy before you go anywhere near it again with your flat iron. And in the future just limit how often you use it. It sounds like you don't like the fact that you have curly hair, but curly hair is way better than fried hair. Yeah?

Q: Hey so I'm thinking of getting a nose ring but I'm on poms so I'll have to take it out for competitions and stuff. So, I'm wondering how long is it from when you first get it until you can take it out? And I'd just be taking it out for 12 hours at the most.
Wow, so I'll admit, my first thought was like what the hell is Poms? I immediately thought of the juice. I am assuming you are referring to cheer leading though. Let's hope so. Anyway, my best friend just got her nose pierced, I was holding her hand when the needle went through her nose and everything, and the woman that pierced it said you can change it in a month. She did not however recommend leaving it out. Ummmm, my older sister has her nose pierced as well, and I remember when she would go to work they would not let her wear it. So, she bought what they call a "retainer" for her nose. Basically, it's just a small, clear piece of plastic that holds the space of the ring. It's close to invisible, hard to notice at all. If that doesn't sound like a good option for you though, 12 hours is not a good time to take it out for...and you don't want to be re piercing it every weekend...

Q: 16/f
i have ALWAYS wore my hair really long, like down my whole back, and i really want a change so i was thinking of cutting it short, like at my shoulders

does short hair make you look younger though?
i hatee when people say i look younger then i am so i dont wanna look like a little girl, does it depend on the person?
Hair is a funny thing. And it's always going to depend on the person. My hair is short, it's about an inch or so below my ears. I'm 16 as well, I've never been mistaken for younger. I can't do long hair though, I know that. It swallows my face. You really have to focus on the shape of your face and what compliments it. Talk with your hairdresser. Shoulder length is a good length because you still have plenty to play with and you can always go shorter. So I guess to answer your question, short hair does not automatically make a person look younger. Can it? Well yes, but so can long hair.

Q: if i put on pressed powder.. does it cause freckles ?
Logic, once again tells us no. It's impossible for pressed powder to cause freckles. Only the sun can do that.

Q: i've got that eyeshadow from hot topic. i put it on but my skin color shows up in the middle and applying more makes it very hard to see. (bright green) is there anything i could do to make it bright and stay? All it does is fall over my eyelashes. I heard putting concealer works... does it?
You do have to realize that Hot Topic is not known for their makeup. In otherwords, it is not top quality. I personally recommend going to somewhere that is just for makeup, like Sephora, to get eye makeup. It'll cost you, but it'll be worth it. And they do have bright green, I know that because I own some from there. :-D From experience though...mostly every eyeshadow creases in the center.(Which I believe is what you are talking about.)I, myself have never put concealer on my eye lids. But, it would make sense to, because it should absorb some amonut of the natural oils on your eye lids. (Which is why your eyeshadow does this.)Um, what I have tried though, and found to work is...putting loose powder on your eye lids or you can buy a special product called "Eye Base" by Tony&Tina (located at Sephora), which is made for exactly what you want.

Q: ok so i'm going to a green day concert in october and i dont know what to wear. have any ideas anyone?
*ill rate high*
Whatever you do, please do NOT wear a Green Day T-shirt. Every other person there will be doing the exact same thing. I know this as an experienced onlooker. It's actually quite funny to watch. Wear something you feel comfortable in. And it all depends on what kind of look you are going for. If you want to blend in...wear the Green Day band tee, pyramid stud belt, black Chuck Taylors, and jeans with commercialized holes in them. If you are one to stand out I like the layering idea that the girl below left. Jeans and a fun t-shirt would be fine. Keep in mind it IS a concert, you are going to get hot and sweaty, and you'll be with a bunch of people in tight quarters. Wear waterproof mascara :-D.

Q: ok so i'm barely a 32 A and i cant find any bras and heres the strory i just stayed at a hotel with my soccer team and everyone of them has boobs except me and i'm so inscure about it and if anyone who has boobs remembers how long it takes from when they are just started to when they atleast fit a 34 or 32 A could u PLEASE tell me i really really need the help no rude comments either thanks soo much ill rate so high !!! pleaase help

trish
I'm 14 years old, and I am only a 34 A. Yes, I know, I just exposed my breast size to the entire world. But I am fine with them. I am comfortable with them. Especially since I am pretty much stuck with them. Because I haven't grown height wise or breast wise in a while. You have to learn to love what God gave you, or else you will spend your life hating yourself for things you can't change. You can't compare yourself to other girls and wish you had their bodies, or their boobs. It won't change a thing. Accept what you have. I am not saying yours won't grow, because I honestly can't tell you if they will or not. So much depends on your genetics, weight, and age/how far along you are in puberty. Can I add a little story in here? A few weeks ago I bought this really cute shirt at H&M. The shirt was black, with sequins, and very low cut. I wore it to school about a week or so after I finally evaluated my purchase. I walk into... B1 I think it was, and this girl that sits beside me said, "I like your shirt." I smiled and replied, "Thank you." She said, "I wish I could wear a shirt like that." (Oh yeah, I forgot to mention, this girl is at least a C cup.) So I said "It's one of the perks of having small boobs." And it's true. There IS perks to having a small chest, you just have to find them. Chances are though, you will grow, (I can't tell you when you will because I have no idea about your background.) but in the mean time, be happy with what you have.

Q: Where can I find clothing by the label "FISHBOWL"

Alloy sells a few items, and Nordstrom just sells the hoodies. Please don't suggest Ebay, unless you have links for a specific auction or buy it now. Whenever I search it, I get like, fish stuff LOL
I know this is my answer to everything but... go to TJMAXX and Marshalls. I am serious. I have seen stuff by "FISHBOWL" there. Come to think of it, I have seen a lot of stuff by them there. But every TJMAXX and Marshalls is different. So don't go in there expecting to buy a whole new wardrobe by them. Keep checking back. I am not making any promises, but I think there is a high possibility that you will find something...

Q: Can you get your belly button peirced at Claire's? i heard that from a friend but i dont think you can. thanks for your help.
Claires only pierces with a gun. So, no. Although sure I guess it could be possible to pierce your belly button with a gun, but Claires doesn't do it. Go to a respectable tattoo parlor/ piercing salon instead.

Q: Ok, so there are these jeans I want at Abercrombie and Hollister, but super expensive!! They are those pants that are torn/destroyed...Does anybody know how I could do it myself, and it would look good without spending a fortune??!!Thanks!!
Go to TJMAXX or Marshalls. Both carry Abercrombe and Fitch jeans and occasionally Hollister jeans for a price of only $24.99.

Q: I want to buy a pair of vans from a website and I'm wondering..do they run small..big or just regular size?
I own a pair of the classic slip on Vans.(Which are unisex.)I typically wear a 9 1/2 womens. I got a 7 1/2 (because they go by mens which is two sizes down)and I think they fit perfectly. Not too big or two small. It really probably depends on the style you get. However, if you do get the classic slip ons and you are a girl (which I assume you are, because guys rarely have enough common sense to even think about sizing of shoes)and they are mens, just get two sizes down from what you normally wear. If you never planned on getting the classic slip ons they take a chance on the sizing, or buy them locally, although I know, the selection isn't the same. Or you can just disreguard my advice entirely.

Q: What is the difference between a "padded" bra and a "cup" bra?
thanks.
-confused
A padded bra has an actual lining of padding that makes your chest look bigger.A bra with a cup has a mold.Which would help with uh...natural shaping and not let evryone notice when you are cold.

Q: does anyone know where to get jeans that are a little below ur waist and are about $15-30? someone please help and i may rate you a 5!
Marshalls and TJMaxx. You can get most any brand of jeans there. And basically with junior sizes... below the waist are basically a given. Most are under $30...even A&F.

Q: i'm 13/f and i skateboard but like no other s in my school do... besides like this 6th grader, but thats it. and i wear "punk" cloths i guess, like skateboarding shoes and element shirts and hoodies and dickies skateboarding pants, but idk if thats like a turn off for guys that skateboard cuse thats kinda how they dress... i'm not like a tom-boy, god no, but i feel kind of weird around guys that are wearing the same stuff as me, if u know what i mean. help please!! thanks so much
*Laughs at supposed definition of "punk"*It's quite surprising that no one in your area skateboards.God I feel as if 90% of America's teenage male population skateboards. But uhh... that wasn't your question.Depending on the guy though it can be a turn off. Some guys go for that look.Others don't.Some don't even care. Which is what you want.Don't focus on what the average teenage male wants you to dress like.Focus on how you want to dress.Don't change yourself (which includes how you dress)for guys.

Q: I finally came up with an idea on a gift for my boyfriend on Christmas. I was going to get him a custom sweatshirt that had the following on it: Proud Member of JT1 and on the back it say Your Friendly Movie Viewer: TIM. JT1 is a group of my boyfriend and all of his friends that goes to the movies EVERY Friday. My only delema is I don't know where I can go to get it custom made. I went to this site: http://www.customink.com and the site kept shutting down and messing up my computer. I do not want to use the iron on letters because knowing me, I'll mess it up. Does anyone know of any companies that can make one custom sweatshirt without you having to buy in bulk? Thank you so much if you can help!
*Searches through CosmoGirl frantically, knowing I have seen Ads for having custom made businesses* Aha!Found it.And I checked out the site my very self.It seems to me that it isn't a shady site. Now don't get scared about the name of it cause I checked to make sure and sweatshirts are unisex. Now go to customglamgirl.com.Ummm...it might not arrive on Christmas being since today is the 11th and they only guarantee the products to be their if you order by the 10th.But good luck!

Q: ok..this question is kinda stupid but i was wondering if anybody knew how to make holes in jeans that look like they were made like that thnx!..i rate
Whatever you do,do NOT use scissors.I'm sorry but that just looks fake. You don't seem to be patient enough to wear them for a while and let them be naturally holed.(If that's even a word.)Uhhh... A&F does a good job at putting holes in jeans. But,you will pay for them.Sandpaper could possibly work.As could rocks.Just don't over do them.

Q: what is a good black eyeliner? im useing mac right now and in school im in swim class and even when im not wet it seems 2 run down my face.. Does ne one know a good black eyeliner that does not run when i get wet or ne thing.. THANKS
My absolute favorite eyeliner is called Lava Gloss and it's by Too Faced. It's kind of costy at $17.00 a stick but it is so worth it.What's so great about it is,it's liquid eyeliner in a pencil form.Ummm...you can get it at Sephora or Nordstrom's.If if by chance you don't have either in your area Sephora has a website you can order it off of.
