i have ALWAYS wore my hair really long, like down my whole back, and i really want a change so i was thinking of cutting it short, like at my shoulders
does short hair make you look younger though?
i hatee when people say i look younger then i am so i dont wanna look like a little girl, does it depend on the person?

Hair is a funny thing. And it's always going to depend on the person. My hair is short, it's about an inch or so below my ears. I'm 16 as well, I've never been mistaken for younger. I can't do long hair though, I know that. It swallows my face. You really have to focus on the shape of your face and what compliments it. Talk with your hairdresser. Shoulder length is a good length because you still have plenty to play with and you can always go shorter. So I guess to answer your question, short hair does not automatically make a person look younger. Can it? Well yes, but so can long hair.

well yeah short hair does usually make people look younger. maybe you should leave it like a few inches past your shoulders. that always looks good on almost everyone!

It really depends on how you look. Do you have a picture? Sometimes longer hair makes you look younger or it can look like you have a longer face shape.
Straight across bangs usually make a person look younger, as well as choppy..layered fashion mullets. =/
i would get long side bangs and layers in your hair for starters. I would cut it at above your boobs.. to see if you want it any shorter. just so you don't regret cutting it "too short"
It does depend on the person, my friend had longer hair and people thought she was 15 [she was actually 20] and she got her hair cut short above her shoulders.. It makes no difference.. if any, worse sometimes. You might just have that cute, young face.. which isn't too bad.
I think it's about how your face looks, how you wear makeup, how you act, and how you dress.

i don't think short hair makes you look younger at all, mostly just straight across bangs do that. maybe you could get it like really layered and choppy, that could look cute on anyone. also google your face shape and you can find many styles that would flatter your face. hope that helps, good luck!

I know people who have short hair and look mature, and not young, but then there are the people who look extremly young when they have short hair, it all depends on how you wear your hair, make-up, clothes and the shape of your face. If you hvae a small heart shaped face, [kind of like a baby face] I wouldn't encourage you to cut your hair, but otherwise, go ahead, it just really depends on how you style it and wear it.
