Q: I am the worst at reading guys. I probably couldn't detect when a guy was flirting with me if my life depended on it. Does anybody have some basics I should know about?

Guys are NEVER clear! :) But in my experience, they tend to do the same things. Here is my list of common signals I get:
1) They talk about YOU
2) They make constant eye contact while you talk
3) They tend to stand/sit closer to you than normal
4) They try to touch you while you and that person are talking
5) You're the one who seems to end the conversation

But no two guys are the same, and each one has their own 'way' But my best advice is to pay special attention to them. Good luck, have fun! -Ce

Q: ok so theres this boy thats like 4'7 or sumthing in 7th grade and im like 5'7 in the same grade....(i just turned 13) and he supposedly likes me, but is too shy to tell me cuz he thinks...i dunno wut he thinks! anyways, hes so cute(like a little baby) and i have this thing that when i find out that ppl like me, i feel like i like them too, even if i dont...i wanna go out with him, but at the same time, i dont.... i dont wanna be going out with a guy so much shorter than me cuz i wont b able to kiss him and hug him and sutff...sorry this question is so long, but i need advice....thanx mucho

How Cute! I dated a guy about a foot taller than me.. but if your 13, and he's prob 13, he'll hit a growth spurt soon hopefully.. don't worry about height, if you like him as a person, that should be the most important part, right? Q: well im not sure if i can say i like him.. but i have feelings. His name is Chris and i always see him in school and he usually looks at me when we are passing eachother in the halls. theres just something about him that , i dont know hes just my type. well the other day i took my friends bus and he was on it and when i looked back at him he was looking at me like in the eyes. one of his friends sits in back of me in my study and he sits alone so should i say somethin to him? i was just going to say sumthin to chris but we like dont know eachother.. and i dont know how to talk to him and i dont want to soudns weird.. id take my friends bus and what should i say when i first talk to him, should i sit near him and smile and say hi or sumhin or ask him if hed wanna hangout? i dunno:-\thankss

Chris sounds like a good person. If he makes eye contact with you, then there's something about you that he likes.. he might want to become friends, or he might like you back! I think that you should talk to Chris's friend, but don't use him just to get to Chris. I have lots of guy friends, and I hate it when girls talk to me and then ask about one of them.. But feel free to do what you want. But you should try to take your friends bus again, and sit close to him. You said that you don't know him, but how WILL you get to know him if you never talk to him. If you don't know what to say, compliment him on his clothes, his hair, his anything.. or talk to his friend and be like "I met your friend ___" and go on from there... Have fun with this one! Q: i love my boyfriend so much and he says he loves me but we barly talk maybe its because we live far apart i dont know. what should i do?

I have a boyfriend that lives on the other side of town. We talk a lot, but this is about you and him. This is a good question, but most things that happen, you have to go with your heart. If you truly love him and willing to fight the distance, then think of the benefits: You'll have someone that cares about you very much, you'll have someone that you can hold, and all that good stuff. Q: Alrighty, well this is about that boy Jake that i wrote about before. As I said Jake calls me everyday and I like him a lot, but yesterday we were talking on the phone and hes like god how come you never call me or talk to me in school? Im sick of your sh!t I always have to call you but w/e forget it im sick of it and Im not calling you anymore! And he was yelling at me and all and I was telling him im sorry and all and hes like w/e it doesnt matter if you call me now or what i dont care. Well i said the reason i didnt was because i didnt know if he wanted me to, and he said that was the stupidest thing he has ever heard because he doesnt know if i want him to call me so thats not an excuse. And he kept saying that it didnt matter because the only reason that i would start talking to him was because he said something. So today I was looking for my friend during homeroom and i went up to him and asked if he saw her and he just walked away from me! I dont know what to do im so upset, i left school early because i was feeling sick worrying about it so much and i could focus :(!!

Don't you just love moody guys? You care about him, and that's why you feel bad. If you call him (or even better, talk to him in person) say what you're feeling. If he starts to yell at you again, just try and imagine what what going through his head. He might think that you're embarassed to talk to him or something. And if he does explode on you again, would you really want to be a friend to someone who treats you this way? I hope you make a good choice about him, I know you will. Q: ok here it goes i really like my best friend but i dont think he likes me and i dont know how to ask him and i don't want my other friends asking him because i don't want them to lie to me to make me feel better and i was just wondering if anybody knew how i could tell if he likes me or not

I went through this.. but the best advice to get through this is to take the plunge! if you don't try you'll never know.. gather up your courage! BEFORE you try that, try to be his best friend.. make sure you'll be a GIRL-friend.. but, you might become 'one-of-the-guys' (so to speak) So make sure you add some flirty stuff, make some moves.. This is a confusing situation, and I bet it's fustrating. When you and your friend aren't hanging around that guy, talk to her about him. If she's your best-friend, joke about how you and him would make a cute couple.. see what she says, or if she doesn't say anything, judge on what her body language is saying that her words aren't. Then joke about how they would make a cute couple. You can usually tell if she likes him, if she acts kind of shy.. or smiles at the thought of the idea, then she prob likes him. If she doesn't like that idea of him and her.. you should be happy that you could go for him without feeling bad! But you also have to consider him, he might see you as a friend. But take the plunge if that's what your heart is telling you. I hope things work out in your favor! -Ce

I go through rumors too! Everyone does.. except if their the people who start the rumors.. so I'll give you the advice that my cus gave me, "Hey, they're jealous of you, that's why they do that!" They're prob mad since you made the team, or you kissed that guy (who is prob very good looking :]) The best way to cope is to stay close to your friends, they're the best people to have when you're feeling awful! They make situations so much easier! If they are the ones starting the rumors, then that's what family is for! I hope the rumors die down, they aren't fun! -Ce

Getting over people you care about is tough. Your ex might not be ready for a great girl like you yet :) Soon the pain will fade, and you'll be liking other people! I've heard this song "Age Aint Nothing but a Number" and in most cases, it's true! No one chooses who they like.. it just happens.
But, unfourtunatly, if your 15 and he's what, 19? So if you get in to the technical stuff, you're a minor, and he's... not... but prob already know that.. :) If you want to know where it's going, ask your heart! Q: I have been with my current boyfriend for quite a while, and I love him greatly, but I have begun to realize that I still have feelings for an ex that I had a while back. He was probably the first person I truly cared about, but then he ended it. I don't understand why after all of this time I am realising that I'm not really over him, and I don't know what I'm supposed to do about it. Getting over ex's is tough. Talk with your current boyfriend, see if he's happy with the relationship. If you do talk to him, don't make it sould like your breaking up with him. I think you need reassurance from him. If things are meant to be, you'll be happy that you'd stay with him. About your ex, if hes the first person you truly had feelings for.. you're prob going to have feelings for other people you date. If you really want him back, then go for it. Q: Okay, the thing is, I'm confused. I know this is going to sound stupid, but I need to ask. People are always asking about tips on kissing and making out. I've never done either of those things, but what gets me muddled is the whole 'it comes naturally' thing. I mean, is it really based on instinct, or should i be worried about my first time doing all those things? (I'm having a hard time getting my point across here, work with me). People ask things like 'where should i put my hands' and 'what kind of kiss' and 'how do you french'. Are those things that you really need advice about, or do they really all come naturally and people only fret because they haven't done them? Is it better to have people tell you how-to's so it'll go better, or is it all going to come together anyway? I hope you don't find me too silly for asking, I'm just(like I stated before) confused! First of all, if you really like your boyfriend's friend (more than your boyfriend) then you should def go for it! If the friend has a history of cheating.. by what you said, you do too! (Even if you said he kissed you first.. you did accept it, right?) You should tell your current boyfriend about your crush since he'll find out anyways if you date him.. Hope I helped you!
