advice
I am 14 and female. I get A's in school, but sometimes I think I have ADD because when I'm not interested I just space out.
Well, at least I WANT to think I have ADD.
You see, my friend told me that ADD medication like Aderol and Ritalin (I can't spell, please help there..) makes your metabolism hella fast and makes you lose weight like crazy. Many of my friends have ADD and I can prove this statement true because they have all lost weight since their diagnosis. Now I'm not the skinniest person but I'm at an ideal weight right now. I would like to lose at least 10 pounds or so. It isn't a lot and it would do me good.
I wonder if this is worth it. Should I go get tested? I know it's like using crystal meth to get skinny like my friend did, because it is a perscription drug, but when I told my mom she almost started crying she was so mad and my friends are worried about me. Is it really that bad? Should I consider that I may have ADD even though my attention span is pretty long for my age and that would just be an excuse to lose weight? Or should I just drop the topic? I know this is really vain, but I need some advice. Thanks.
Well, its known for some people, that ritilan makes you not hungry, but not for everyone. Do not take it unless you are tested for sure that you have ADD. If youre that desperate to loose weight, eat healthy and exercise.
I rele wanna get my belly button pierced but my mom won't let me, I just wanna see what it looks like adn how it feels. Can I peirce it myself, leave it in for 2 weeks, and then take out the piercing will my belly button close? thx
Yeah, sure go a head, pierce it yourself and get an infection. Always get piercings by professionals.
This question is for someone who knows a lot about nutrition and working out.
Okay, I just started to work out for about an hour and fifteen minutes a day at the gym (cardio). I get hungry afterwards. I'm trying to lose weight (I'm a female, if that helps at all, and I'm not trying to build more muscle), so what foods would be okay to eat after a workout? Thanks in advance!
Try eating stuff like low-fat/fat free yogurt, bananas, fruit and veggies. Its great to eat right after a work out because it raises your metabolism for a period of time, so eat right as soon as possible right after your work out.
if i ride my bike for around 30 minutes ..will i get a flatter stomach (and how long will it take to see results) and what else will it help ?
Yeah, it should definitely help. Biking is a great exercise. I have no idea how long it'll take, but you'll def. start seeing results. Also do some situps to tone up your muscles, they work very well when done right.
I want to go on a low carb diet. What foods should I avoid eating and what foods are good for me to eat on my diet? Thanks to anyone who answers.
NOOO please, trust me..DO NOT go on a low carb diet. Yeah, they work its horrible for your body. If you don't get enough carbs, it can effect your energy level and your brath. I was on a low carb diet for a while, it works but after a while you just cant do it and you binge on carbs, and yuo gain double all your weightback...thats what happened to me..def. do not go on a low carb diet is all i can say.
ok, i want to get into really good shape for the upcoming school year because i plan on working out hard over the course of the year. im trying to get my stomach to get really flat and its not working. i do sit ups every single day and i do a total of at least 4500 in a week. i stretch everyday too and i go on walks as often as possible, probably a few times a week. i swim twice or three times a week too but nothing seems to have any affect on my body. any advice? plz help! i rate high for any reasonable answer
Just keep it up, have patience, you'll see results. Situps are very effective over a long period of time. I'd know. Hope that helped.
hi ive been wanting to get in shape this summer , and eat better and do workouts..any ideas thanks
Thats awesome! Well first of all, to eat better, make SURE you eat breakfast. Such as things like low-fat/fat-free yogurts, whole wheat toast with a little bit of peanut butter or something, eggs, cereal, you know. Instead of eating 3 big meals every day, trying eating small snacks in between each meal, such as grapes, a handful of nuts(contain protien), bananas, carrots, etc. Try to avoid things that are high sugar of course. As weird as it might sound, cut back on the soda, and drink LOTS of water. Even diet coke. Although it has no calories, it is not good for you. a can of pop a day won't hurt you, but keep it on the down-low. Eat lots of protien, such as chicken, turkey, nuts, fish, etc..and despite the atkins and low carb craze, make sure you get enough carbs. Such as potatos, but better yet, whole wheat/wheat bread. The great thing about them, if eaten in moderation, they are VERY low fat, but keep you full longer, so you wont over eat. When eating out, when ordering, check the menu for words such as "grilled, broiled, baked" instead of "fried". Things cooked in olive oil, also is very good for you.
As far as keeping in shape/getting in shape. Bike riding is a GREAT exercise, exspecially if you're not the type who likes to run (like me..haha). It burns a good amount of calories, and tones your legs. Another workout, that gives good results over time, would be situps. You won't see results everyday, but they really add up. Try starting out at doing 50, then increase by however many as you see fit. If you don't like doing reg. situps, try crunches, or reverse crunches. For more tips, check out www.toneteen.com. The site has lots of other exercises on it for you to do.
Hope that helped, if not. just ask!
