I hope that if you see an answer of mine that you enjoy it will inspire you to go out of your way to give good, solid information. Provide links for further information, detail your responses, encourage people to seek out professionals when it's needed, and stop sugar-coating responses and just say the truth.

I got my inner conch pierced three days ago.. my piercer gave me a salt spray to spray onto the piercing 3-5 times a day, and i have been doing that. but every time i do it, water gets in my ear canal and causes irritation (feels similar to an ear infection). anyone know how i can clean it without hurting my ear?? i tried putting a tissue in there, but to no help. You shouldn't be spraying the saline solution directly on the piercing anyway.
Simply soak a cotton swab with the saline solution and dab it around the puncture wounds. Don't twist the piercing around or anything. If there is crusty buildup then simply wipe it off with the saline-soaked cotton swab.
If you insist on spraying your ear, for whatever reason you see fit, then put a cotton ball right at your ear canal like people do when they have an ear infection. Remove the cotton ball after you're done spraying the skin. Voila. No water in the ear.
