has any1 ever heard michael hoppe's "renouncement"? would that be a good piece to play for a high school cello recital?
The cello is a very mellow sounding instrument. It would go great with a cello. However, it is a slow and sad song, so you may want to think about that when considering it for your audience. It would be a wonderful piece for a mature audience. If this recital is strictly for the staff and students at your high school, you may want to find something a little more upbeat.
