Q: will you be by my side for the rest of my life?
I think the best way to say that is:

Quedarás conmigo por siempre? (will you stay with me forever?). I guess you could say quedaras a mi lado por siempre... but anyway, the best way to put it is to say quedaras conmigo.

Often times when you directly translate from Spanish to English (or vice-versa), it doesn't sound quite right, or even make sense. So saying "by my side" word for word, might not even have the same meaning or make much sense. I think the best way to express what you wanted to say is (I think) to simply say, ¿Quedarás conmigo por siempre?.

Note: congmigo, which means with me, is both masculine and feminine, although it ends in "o." (which is typically associated with masculine nouns). In this case, it's an exception to the general rule.

Also, I would not recommend using online translations like altavista, as they often translate in the wrong way, word for word, rather than actually trying to adapt a particular phrase to the grammar and wording of the language in question.

thankss s0o much hun :)
