I currently live on a 3rd shift schedule to be with my husband during his work week. I've been on the same schedule since I moved to my current place of residence. The two year mark has almost gone by and I don't have any friends. It seems impossible to socialize this way. Anyone have any suggestions on how to find 3rd shift pals, or to socialize while living this lifestyle?

I know what you mean I've worked the graveyard for a year and I sleep all day, up all night. My wife watches the kids while I'm asleep. I think you already know the answer. The Internet! It may not be face to face but it'll help with the loneliness. No, I'm not talking about finding another someone. But what's your interest? Like to garden, read love novels, wrench on cars etc...? Google your hobby and join a message board. If you just wanting to meet some folks and get out, try your local 24 hour coffee shop. Don't drink the stuff? try a cola. But, remember all the weird ones come out at night and the drunks too, after 2am. LOL! Anyway, Good luck!
