I have self esteem issues. I've truly hated myself for a long time, and I'm just starting to like myself a little again.
I have these two friends, we'll call them B and A.
B. is really mad at me right now because I'm too "emo". Well, I've been trying to be happier, and the ONE slightly self degrading comment I made, she attacked me.
And my other friend A. who I thought would be on my side, seeing as how we've kind of got some stuff, due to make out sessions, and other weirdish stuff. I won't get into it, but she took B's side!!
I love both of them, but I don't know if I can love myself if I love them.
What do I do?
well it sounds like they are attacking you because they dont want to see you putting yourself down. their intentions are pure, but they are going about it the wrong way. they should be supporting you and complimenting you when you feel sad instead of just getting mad at you. talk to them about it. tell them that you really appreciate that they want you to be happy, but it makes you feel bad when they get mad at you. tell them that you are struggling and that you really need their support right now. if they are true friends, they will understand
(Rating: 5) thank you! I'm sorting it out.
