Of course it's normal! I know a lot of people around your age have done things like that, but not all of them were ready, trust me. People are different. At one point you will feel ready, but remember, you are still young. Don't look toward your peers as a basis of what you should or shouldn't do. In the end, who matters more, you or them? I know what kind of pressure there is out there, but don't worry about trying to do what you think everyone is doing. Follow your own heart, and your own judgement. Only you know what you're ready for. It's completely normal, and desirable for you not to want to jump into conclusions. I know you may hate hearing this, but you're 16, and still figuring yourself out. People who do things like that at 14, 15, even 16 or 17...are not necessarily emotionally mature to do this. YOU, my dear, are mature enough to realize what is right for you! Good for you!! Hey, follow your heart. You will know when you are ready and willing to do this, or anything else.
