alright, I heard somewhere, that if you sleep in a tampon, then you can get an infection or a disease or something.

1. myth or fact?
2. If a fact, what is the infection?
3. what is the infection caused by?
4. how serious is the infection?

1. Fact. If you sleep in a tampon you are having one in for 9 hours about so you do have the chance of getting an infection although its very rare.
2. TSS aka Toxic Shock Syndrome.
3. Leaving a tampon in for more than at the most eight hours.
4. Pretty serious. Chance of death.
