I like fairies (thus why I am wearing fairy wings in the picture). Good grammar rocks, too. It doesn't have to be perfect but I get frustrated when people completely disregard it. I like every color except pink. I hate the wind. Sometimes, I carry around a little teddy bear I found at an antique store. His name is Robert. I dress very eccentrically. It's not unusual for me to wear a prairie dress one day and a Mod dress (think Austin powers) the next. I don't dye my hair, or wear much make-up. I think it's sad that no one puts any emphasis on natural beauty anymore. I think it's a good thing to be open and educated about sex and other issues that are considered taboo. I have a hard time seeing where homophobics are coming from.

Basically, I'm just some weird teenager in Arizona. If I haven't scared you off already, feel free to drop me a line. -Danielle

Why does everyone think you HAVE to believe in something? Do you feel it's wrong to not put faith in a religion? I'm not religious in the tiniest bit. I know some people think that you never know what you're missing out on until you try it. However, I've never even cared or have been concerned with trying to find religion in my life. Why is religion so important? (link)
Here is my opinion, and if it offends you then feel free to give me a 1, since religion is a pretty personal topic.

Many times, religion is important to people because they need something to believe in in order to be happy. Sometimes, religion to me seems like the adult version of Santa Clause. They need to think that someone is watching down on them and that they are important, when really they are just 1 of billions of people who ultimately don't matter. Sorry if I'm getting overly cynical on you. You don't have to agree with me; I just get the impression sometimes that religion is this whole scam and people made up God, rather than God made up people.

On the other hand, some people were raised to believe something and it is ingrained into who they are. They see it as a very personal thing and use it to better themselves as a person. Sometimes, it's a combination of these two..

No one's forcing you to believe in anything, and if they are, then ask them how they would feel if you tried to convert them to atheism and see what marvelous answer they come up with. There's no justification for that; beliefs should not be shoved on others. Just do what makes you happy and if not being religious makes you happy, then that is up to you and for no one else to decide.

Your response did not deserve a one. Ones are for inappropriate answers from crude "columnists" lacking all respect for others purposing a question. I appreciate your answer very much; it was very helpful. And I thank you for taking your time out to discuss such a private matter with me. Also, I feel your relation to "God" and Santa Claus is a very valid one. I see your point there, and I would have never thought of that on my own. My whole problem is that I need physical proof, and I need it see it with my own eyes. Having somebody TELL ME "God" is "there" is simply not good enough, end of story. It may seem like I am being close minded and ignorant, but I just refuse to live my life according to some novel, entitled, "The Bible", by some story writter from MANY years ago, who could have very well been out of his mind, for all we know. I just don't see why people would live their lives based on the (in my opinion) nonsensical illusions of another man. Anyhow, I apologize if my Feedback has offended you, but I do appreciate your response.
