Hi. The eighth graders hate me, and I have a bigass crush on one of them, (he doesnt hate me I don't think)...but I don't really know him. The dance is coming up and I want to break the ice somehow, how do I talk to him without him getting false impressions of the poser i used to be? How can I actually communicate? Do I have to be a slut for him to notice me? (link)

NO! You do not have to be a slut for him to notice you! This is were guys get the wrong impression about girls thinking that they are "loose" etc. Just be yourself if he doesn't like you for who you are then he clearly isn't worth it to begin with. Breaking the ice, Just go up to him and asked him! The worst that could happen is he would say no. If you can't figure a way to ask him then say something along these lines... "Hi, I was wondering if you'd like to go to the dance with me because I don't have anyone to go with and I really like you" see what he says. Just be yourself it's more attractive ;)
