hello! i'm a 15 year old girl and i cut myself, not all the time, but just whenever. i don't even have to be really depressed to do it, just in the mood for it. i've been cutting since i was 14, and a bunch of my friends think it's gross. my problem is this: i can't find a reason to stop. it helps me with my problems, and i'm not trying to commit suicide (no wrists). the way i see it, i would rather cut than do drugs, drink or smoke, and cutting makes me happier. otherwise, i'm a good B-average student and athletcially involved. i write a lot. so why is cutting so bad? it's my personally choice, and it helps me. i just can't see the cons... 14/f So I have this friend lets call her emma. Emma has no other friends other then me. She had in school friends that we hung out with like "our group" and stuff but they never call her to do anything unless i set up a group thing. She also has this friend lets call her Rita from another group who she kinda hangs out with but Rita has other friends who she'd rather hang out with. And last Emma has a friend named Haley who goes running with her for soccer. Besides soccer Emma has nothing else to do. She texts me every day trying to start a conversation, trying to ask me if i want to hang out. And when i do say i can hang out it's like she plans her whole day around me, waiting for me to call her to say i can hang out. I know i should be a better friend and call her and either say okay i can hang out at this time: blah blah blah but usually i hang out with other friends and blow Emma off. I know it's mean, but i can't help it. Emma gets mad but since i'm her only friend she gets over it.
Emma won't leave me alone. At parties she follows me EVERYWHERE. She has a huge mouth and she's really loud and awkward. Now that i'm her friend it's like she doesn't even try she's always wearing icky clothes and such.
I want to stay friends with Emma but i'm sick of people thinking we are best friends? I don't like her anymore and i wanna...i just want her to stop calling me so much and following me everywhere.

i have a boyfriend, and we've been going out for about two months.
i went down on him once towards the beginning and his entire crotch area had a rather unpleasant smell.
sort of like a doughy smell, or something that reminds you of food.
it wasn't pleasant.
i want to give him head again, and i would normally enjoy it, but not with the odor. it makes me sick.
can you think of anything that might cause it to smell like that?

I've been drinking Silk soy milk, mainly because it's much healthier than cow's milk. I've been reading about the connection with deforestation in the rainforests and soy beans, but I can't find a list of which big name soy milk brands don't get their soy from the rainforest.
If you have any knowledge of which brands aren't harmful to the rainforest (and which are) please let me know.
Also, what other milk alternatives aren't connected with the rainforest? (Rice milk?)

From Rainforest To Biodiesel
The Herald has an article today about the accelerating destruction of the Brazilian rainforest, which is apparently being turned into soy bean farms. This soy is then being used to create biodiesel. So that means we're chopping down one of the last remaining buffers against runaway global warming to create biofuels. While I like biofuels in theory, in this case I have to ask if biofuels are really renewable if the end result of clearing all the forests is drought and desertification ?
I posted recently about creating ethanol from waste biomass in paper mills. In the comments, Kurt Cobb reminded me that the end result of massive adoption of biofuels is Easter Island syndrome. While I still think some use of biofuels is a good thing (with the reuse of waste products being a good example), cutting down the remaining rainforests to do so is insane and proves Kurt's point.
First and foremost, Brazil has always been an alternative fuel leader. It's a national security issue in a developing country that, according to one estimate, imports 100,000 barrels of diesel fuel daily at a cost of $2 billion annually.
Brazil is so eager to avoid petroleum dependence that the country aggressively encouraged development of a program to switch many cars to using 100% alcohol in reaction to the energy crisis of the 1970s. Interestingly, many of the experiments in this country, which produces more sugarcane than any other, involve a dash of alcohol in the vegetable oil and diesel mix.
A big test in the southern Brazilian city of Curitiba, where urban buses logged 400,000 kilometers since 1997, and where a liquid biofuels conference was held a year later, helped spur interest in the product. However, it was an interest that was already there. Sixteen years ago, the heavy earth-moving equipment used in the construction of South America's largest airport, Guarulhos, in São Paulo, used vegetable oil fuel.
Recently, a number of factors have made biodiesel an interesting proposition. For one, soy complex prices have dropped, making soy-based biodiesel a relatively less-expensive alternative. Meanwhile, the Brazilians aren't limited to just soy when considering what crops they can stuff into a fuel tank. Palm oil, babassu and castor beans all can make biodiesel — not to mention used fast-food oil.
While it seems clear what is happening to the Brazilian rainforest, no one is quite sure where this Russian lake went (although even I won't blame the american government for this one, unlike one Russian villager).

ok i am gettin EXTREMELY annoyed with my freinds freinds putting me down all the time, since i have started working with them all in a shop all they'v proceeded to do is demise my intelligence and throw ideas at me like "well if he did that it would destroy the county" and other stupid things liek that, it normally doesnt annoy me but i dont see any of us leaving any time soon so i need a way around it. the key points of them i want to block out is thier annoying *omfg your such an idiot* attitude towards me because i dont see them doing it to any of their other freinds. i may not be the most skilled to apply to thier oh so high list of needs but they dont see what psycological hate i am growing for them. any advice on these pathetic lowlifes would be much much appreciated cause im gonna end up beating the living **** out of them (link)

okay! I've been going to a somewhat private school for most of my life. I haven't been to a public school since first grade. And now going into eighth grade I'm starting at a public school. I am very very nervous and have no idea what it's going to be like. Can anyone help me with anything? Like on the social groups and things like that.

well since your user name is very out going i bet you wont have any issues socialisng ! but number on rule is always be your self ! a new school calls for a new look(but not to the point your a clone) no one can tell you what scocial group to be apart of , just remember kids your age can be critical .... so just at first be very honest and firendlyto whom ever aproches you ! i would have to tell you to get involved in school activitys once it starts that will ensure you a group to hang out with pluss there are tuns of things to choose from .... your best bet is to pick a realy amaing outfit and an awesome backpack for your first day .... if you feel and look confident others will love you!!!!
now public school are tricky ! they lack disaplin and have a larger population so watch out !!!!! dont give in to gosip ar mean girls!!!! have fun and relax !!!! becouse you came from a private school some of the kids might think your better them you will have to prove that you might be smarter but your still a teen!!!!
so you can always reserch what the kids wear and shop around at mervins and jcpennys or if your like me hit goodwill for a funy top and belts !!! skinny jeans are a big hit you can wear them with any type of top and with wedges and filpflops and flats good luck !!!!

Well, long story short: my best friend of 6 years is still in the hospital (3months and 8 days to be exact) & I love him so much and I miss him. He's really outgoing and active and it was almost as if he had the entire world in his hands. He was even going to go next school year as a foreign exchange student to Europe somewhere. He never got to decide because he got in a really bad car accident. He's still not very responsive but at least they took him off the ventilators and ICU...
But I was wondering if anyone knew a song that can relate to this in any way...

Say you use a tanning lotion or spray or something.
When you actually go out in the sun to tan, do you get darker on top of that tan?

tanning sprays and lotions are hazordes to your skin becouse the lotion is soked up into the melinela and the epidermus skin tissue you do not get darker ontop of it your skin gets a nasty little die .... tanning also is the leading couse of skin cancer and if you get five and more sunberns you are subjectable to skin cancer ... the most natural way to tan is by being out side when you are nomaly out side dont spend time baking in direct heat its bad for you ... if your going to tan ware sunblock an spf of 30 or higher and always try to use hand creams and lotions with spf 15-50 ... well if you must Alvino carrys a natural tanner and ferming lotion and so dose nivia you can find them at walgreens or walmart but never never tan with greasy bottle sprays!!!!!!!

Okay so back 2004 my dog died and he was my best friend. Well like all of his things i didnt know where they were (ie collar and leash and harness) and today my grandpa took them out of his closet and was going to throw them away but i told him no and i took them. When i got a hold of his things like something just kind of took my breath. I dont know what happened but it just like knocked the wind out of me, and i felt like crying, which is kind of hard because i gave up on finding that stuff a year after he died. I thought they were gone. But i just dont know what happened and it kind of freaked me out. But at the same time it was comforting. I just like kind of snapped and saw him sitting next to me, but then yeahh...weird i know...im probably just looking too much into it..what do you think happened (link)

well its normal ... ill explain in my book smarts and personal belives ok ... its normal becouse humans and animals fourm spirtual bonds that can never be broken even long after death or depature. i can understand when you felt relive from seeing his personal items after such a long time . it gave you a bit of closure in side your a little more calmer becouse you could never satisfy the need to collect yor dog things ... i belive what you felt was the sence of confort that you have the dogs belongings, your obligaion to yor dog has been put to rest . when you snaped and saw your pet. your sences where playing tricks on you .... becouse chances are the items that belonged to him still had his sent and bits of furr your mind was able to create a relistic picture but dont worry its nothing to be ashamed of !!! its pretty cool it works the same way some times when people see relitives after they have passed .... another crazy thought and maby we should stick to the first one is that maby your dogs immage was real .... becouse in all reality our physical make up consist of positive and negitive ions . those ions are contoled by magnetic waves from the north and sould poles , with enough genetic make up lingering in the air of your pet , it could have made a film like immage long enough for you to see it ! but im thinking the first on may be more pratical for you ! if you want any more info or any more intresting answers ya know where to find me !!!
