OK so currently I have brown hair to my lower back (I'm east indian) with caramel streaks that I got two months ago so they're growing out. I just got my hair layered and got side bangs.
Now I want to change my hair colour and make it look very -in- without cutting my hair or making a -huge- change (i.e. dying the entire length one colour). I have a limited budget but I'm going to a salon.
But can someone give me some ideas on some very edgy long hair? What colour can I put on it and how do I style it after to make it look cool. I want it to look hip but not totally crazy. (link)

Well what I have done is I have blonde hair, and then I got dark brown dyed otherneath it and layered so you can see it from underneath the blonde alot. So you could do that except with blonde underneath or unless you prefer it the other way. Also, since I believe you said you had brown hair, what some girls I've noticed have been doing is take red and putting it at the top of their head and make it like, streak down i guess you'd say

but some girls do that except they dont have alot of red, just very little and then they have a little run through the bangs. I hope I helped.

I just recently moved to a new town a few weeks ago. I started school today and I talked to a view people but didn't seem to meet anyone friendly. Is there a good way to make new friends at a new school? the school is actually really small compared to my old school. Any help is appreciated thank you. (link)

Try joining an after-school acitvity or join a school club so then you can hang out with some people who have the same interests as you, so you already have something in common and something to start a conversation about. What the new kids do in our school is just start to talking to kids and asking them if they can join their groups [ if we're all working on a project or something ] or they'll ask them what's for homework and just start talking to them all on a regular basis. Usually kids after awhile start to talk to the new kid and ask them to sit with them and then they're friends with lots of people before they know it. [ at least, that's what happens in my school ] but just try and mingle around some more with the kids. I hope I helped.

No, I don't think you'd look ridiculous. Besides, if it gets too hot, you can always just roll up the sleeves and give your arms a little breathing room. Plus, I've seen girls wearing skirts like, just whenever the snow starts to melt and spring hasn't even come yet! So, sure go ahead and wear it. I've been wearing some long-sleeves during the summer too, and nobodys mentioned anything. :] I hope I helped.

my speakers aren't working. i think its because i started banging on my keyboard because i was pissed. yes,, kinda stupid.. well now it isn't working so wut could be the problem? like could i have randomly typed something that made it stop working? i checked all my speaker settings and stuff and they all seem to be okay. what could be the problem? please help me thank you (link)

Well, usually, whenever my speakers stop working, they either just broke/died, or you might want to check the back of the computer tower thing and see if it's plugged in good. Sometimes the computer tower just gets too hot, so you might need to plug it out, blow on it a few times and plug it back and see if it's working. If none of that seems to be making them work, then I'd suggest taking your speakers to an electronics store and asking them what's the matter with it. I hope I helped.

What's a really good masacara? Something that makes your eye lashes look really think but doesnt clump. Mine clumps so badly and makes my eye lashes stick together and it is almost impossible to wash out (covergirl) (link)

I get Maybelline mascara. It's pink colored and has a light green lid. It's really good, and it must be too because I just read in the magazine the other day that's it's one of the best ones. I forgot the name of the other one. And plus, they're about $5 bucks if you get them at Giant Eagle/whatever grocery store you have, so try maybe going to Eckerds or a drugstore and seeing if they're selling it for cheaper. Okay, me & my boyfriend have been going out for about a week. Seriously. But I really really like him. He likes me back. I trust him.
But that has nothing to do with the question. He's leaving tomorrow morning to go away for a week. Tonight I kissed him, twice, with tongue. Or actally he kissed me.
I'm pretty sure he's kissed someone like that before. But I'm complete new to it. I didn't feel like I did a good job. He just like, got his tongue into my mouth. & I had no idea where to put mine. Way to hard. I feel stupid.
The second time, I ruined the goodbye kiss. I had gum in my mouth and I didn't know what to do with it. So I just pulled back, "I have gum" I laughed. He kind of laughed too. But later I felt stupid.

Just basically mimick what he does with his tongue. Just move it along with his. Or whenever you talk to him, just be like,"Haha, I'm sorry about the other night with the gum and everything. It's just I've never kissed anybody like that before, and I'm just not exactly sure what to do." And laugh it off. Whenever most girls talk to their boyfriends about it, they'll "help them out" I guess it what you'd call it. And also then he'll understand if you're not very good or whatever your first couple times doing it. Maybe your boyfriend'll explain to you what to do since he is more experienced. I hope I helped.

Well, I'm gonna say no also, because either so naturally sing good or you can't, hence, you'd need a teacher. And you really can't teach yourself to sing good because you don't know the right notes and if you're not singing correctly and plus a teacher would help you learn how to control your breathing and how to hit higher notes and stuff. Well, I tried it out once, and it lasted longer than I expected. A month and a half, but then.. well, he found ANOTHER girl on the internet I guess he prefered so he dumped me for her, bahaha. Turns out he was juggling another internet girl while he was with that one too. Haha, so I don't think any good comes out of it. So they probably won't last too long cause too many emotions get into it and they'll miss eachother and want to see eachother and everything, and it just gets messy.

Hahaha, you could be 20 years old and it doesn't matter. If you want to collect stickers, then collect stickers. Yeah, some people might think you're a little old, but who cares? Do what you like. I like to still go trick-or-treating [ goofing around, dressing up with your friends, and getting candy? i think that's an awseome time ] and some people are like,"psh, you're too old." and im like,"haha, im only 15. and i want to have fun. so you enjoy giving out candy, while i get to eat it." I'm 13 years old and interested in getting braces. My teeth really aren't that bad and my mom doesn't wanna pay for the braces. But, I would still like to have the teeth on the top of my mouth nicely alined. How much would braces cost if you didn't need them too badly? And also, if the cost is too much, then can you/would it help to just have a retainer, or do you have to have braces first? (link)

I don't think a retainer would work because that only helps your teeth stay aligned after your braces come off, and braces cost thousands of dollars, so you'd be costing your mom alot if you got them. You should try getting invisalign [sp]. They look just like a retainer, but they're made to straighten your teeth and they're clear so nobody'll notice them. But I just went to the site for Invisalign, and it cost around the small range as normal braces do. They say it can start $3500 and go up from there, and that the average cost is $5000. I don't think you should make your mother spend that much money, but that's just my opinion. Suggest Invisalign to her and then go to your dentist and talk about it with him too, if your mother says yes. I hope I helped.

ok im kristen im the same girl who asked about the hot guys and the girl lol... well.. i could try the bowling alley would they really have a lot of hot guys? and i mistyped lol i meant my friend said she couldn't be single for an entire year because she ALWAYS has a boyfriend-its SO annoying! and these guys i know started all talking about how she's sooo hot and i'm just standing there being like.. helloo? this might sound conceited but a lot of people say i'm prettier but somehow the guys don't. i mean we're about the same except she's more "cute" because she's littler but thats it. i'm still about the same size as her and all but i can actually look 16 while she looks more 12ish? i dont know what to do anymore (link)

Well, whenever I go bowling there's usually hot guys there. But sometimes they can have friends that are girls/girlfriends there, so hopefully, they won't. I don't get why the guys'd like your friend more. I don't know, lots of guys like short girls. They always think you're so small, light and cute and stuff. But I don't know, are your personalities similar too? Maybe she's funnier or something. I'm not saying here your personality SUCKS or something, cause you seem pretty cool, but I'm just saying there just might be something about her guys prefer. You should try asking one of the guys that like her why he likes her so much and see what he says. I hope I helped.

What my mom did for our one bathroom is she painted the walls a light green color and made it all beachy and tropical looking. She has a babmoo window curtain/shutter and the shower curtian is white with palm trees on it and the soap dispenser [sp] is a palm tree and she has these little tan dishes and she has some white and tan candles in there that are and she has green and white towels. It all looks really pretty. But my mom's friend's bathroom is really pretty. She has like, red walls and the sinks black and she has black and white towels and there's a white border going around the room. [ basically red, black, and white colored ]. Which looks a little more fancy and pretty. I also found these sites:

Well, you really seem to have strong feelings for this guy, so I would probably at least flirt a little and see what happens. And I know that you said telling him is out of the question, but what is the worst that can happen? Just let him know that you really like him, but if he doesn't feel the same way, you hope you guys can remain best friends because you'd rather be best friends than nothing at all. Because you need to take action. You've already waited 5 years, you can't pass up every other guy for another 5 more. But if you're absolutely NOT wanting to tell him, then I might want to go and try and find another guy and see if you like him and see what happens with him. But if you're still finding yourself liking him, then I think you really ought to tell him, or at least have someone else tell him for you, because you'll always have to wonder "what if". And you never know, he secretly might like you too. You just have to take the chance and find out. I hope I helped.

i'm getting braces tommarow and I was wondering what i should know about them. how much is it going to hurt and when does it start hurting and when does the pain stop? what helps make the pain stop hurting? and what are good color combinations for braces and what colors look bad? if you've had or have braces i need all the tips you know about the pain and what color to get and stuff! i heard you can get things like soccer balls on them, is that true? (sorry i couldn't use capitals i had to rush so this is the best i can do.) (link)

Well, when you get the braces on, how long and how much it hurts might vary from differen people. Like, my one friend only hurt for a couple of days, when I hurt for two weeks. What I did for color-wise, is I either just got black or clear because they both match with every color in my opinion [ cause I always have to match my outfits ] so it always looked normal. The only problem with clear is after awhile, all the food stains the clear bands so they start to turn yellow. But to ease the pain [ this is probably why it hurt so much for me cause I didn't realize these things existed until AFTER my braces stopped hurting lol ] is ask them for some wax and whenever they rub up against the sides of your mouth, just put the wax against your teeth, and it should feel loads better. But for the first few hours, everything'll probably feel tight and hurt a bit. I've never heard anything about getting soccer balls and stuff on them, but I'm sure you can ask the ortho whenever you get there. I hope I helped.

I went to camp last week. There was this amazingly cute guy there. And he was in my biblestudy group. At the last bublestudy group, we had to write nice things about each other on a poece of paper. He wrote on mine that he thought I was an AMAZING person and that I was a hottie. I was totally happy. I thought that he really liked me. He usted to star at me all the time in biblestudy but after that, he doesn't.
Does he really like me? Or does he just think i'm a pretty face?

Well whenever most guys [ as do girls sometimes ] tell the person they like their feelings, of course their not going to stare at you or anything because they know now you're aware of them, when before they probably thought you didn't notice. But it's hard to decide if he really likes you, or your face because he both said your hot, but he also said your an amazing person. So, to me, it seems like he likes you for both reasons. I would just try walking up to him sometime and talking to him, and flirt a little, and get to know him and let him get to know you and see where it takes off from there. I hope I helped.

Well, sometimes people bite their nails of habit. If they're stressed or nervous. So if you're doing it because of that, just take deep, slow breaths instead. And if you feel the urge to bite, just resist it. Focus your attention elsewhere. Look at a painting of start listening to music or something and try and take the focus off your nails, or pinch yourself or something. Sometimes what I've heard of people doing is everyday [ I don't know how many times though ] they try and put something nasty-tasting [ and obviously something that you won't like, die from tasting and everything ] onto their nails so whenever they do bite, they won't want to cause they taste disugsting. I once knew someone who tried to use uh, I believe it's called Petroleum Jelly [ that stuff people put on their teeth to help keep them smiling ], because that stuff tastes bad. Or like the other advicenator said below, use nail polish. I hope I helped.

i've tried putting on liquid foundation before but i can't seem to find the right shade for my skin tone. its really frustrating! Are there any tricks to finding the right shade from looking at the bottle in the store? also, when i put foundation on in a duller light in my bathroom it looks fine, but if i turn on a brighter light it looks incredibly horrible!...like you know how everybody had very very light, almost invisible facial hair (i guess)..all over your face, well they become more visible i suppose. but i am not sure if its supposed to be like that. Well, what I do sometimes is, if the store has a tester, I just wipe a little against my hand and see how it looks in the lighting and evertyhing. Or, if they have a makeup area with those women who do makeovers for people, I'd walk up to one of them [ or even ask one of the women behind the counter ] if they can help you find a good shade of liquid foundation or what they think would be the best one. It's the hymen that breaks. That's where the term "pop your cherry" and whatever other people call it comes from because that's basically what happens. It pops/breaks. But like the person below said, it can also break from horseback riding and using tampons. I hope I helped.

My best friend is Bi, she smokes weed, she cuts, and is into the whole "Emo, scene, be yourself type of phase"
She thinks I'm fake because I love to dress up nicely, wear "preppy style" clothes, and I like country music. She thinks everyone is really bi, and if you don't admit it youre fake. I'm sick of her and her other bi friends ragging on me cause I'm not like them! They're all like "hardcore" and they hate it that I'm friends with all sorts of people. I just relate to everyone a little bit, I'm just the type of person that will talk to anyone, they think I'm after popularity and I'm all fake for not sticking to one "type" How do I get them to stop ragging on me about this, and show them that this is the real me! I'd either try and talk to her about this, or I might want to stop being her friend. Because, if your BEST friend is calling you FAKE.. is that a best friend? I don't think so. Everyone goes through this stupid phase. She's probably just trying to seem cool but bringing others down and calling them fake and what not. And she's probably saying you're just after popularity because she's jealous that you're able to talk to all sorts of people and everything. But don't stop being friends with her yet, try to resolve it. I'd talk to her about this. Tell her if you guys are best friends, she wouldn't be ragging on you all the time, and neither would her friends. She should just like you for you, and you're not fake. You just like to be friends with everyone, and what's the matter with that? And then if you guys continue to be best friends and everythings good, I'd try and help her more with her cutting and smoking, because that's not healthy at all. But if she still keeps ragging on you, I'd just move on and let her go and rag on others and let her be her "hardcore" self. I hope I helped.
