Ok well i am in cross country and i am a good writer. Well our school newspaper elected me to write about cross country and there is just nothing to write about!! I mean....we run!! What else is there? i cant say.....We won the meet or something like that because we already have a program that tells ppl results to games and stuff. I'm just needing advice on what to write about (i have to write several different articles too) and maybe an example?

-How you prepare for meets (practice, stretching, etc.)
-Interview other members of the team about why they do cross country or why they like it
-For those of us (like me) who are athletically ignorant, what exactly the difference is between track and cross country

1. When you talk on the razr, does it feel weird? Maybe a smaller phone will be more comfortable for my small hands?

1. No, it feels totally normal. It might take a little getting used to, but nothing you can't handle :)
2. You mean the silver or black part? Uh, not that I know of.
3. Nope, hasn't happened to me get and I've had mine for about a year. Although if you drop the phone the part on the back of the phone that covers your SIM card often comes off. But it's easy to put back.
4. Sure. I'm a 13 year old girl, and I love mine. It's really pretty and there's a camera on it. What more could you ask for? (LOL)

14/f/8th grade
I went to the dentist not long ago and they said I might want to get braces because one of my teeth were starting to overlap another, and I have a slight overbite. I don't really know if I should get them or not though. I don't want to be known as Metal Mouth all through highschool. But then again they will just get worse from here and I could have them off before my senior year, right..? But I have a boyfriend and you know we makeout and everything. Well we dont 24/7 we go to the movies and do other fun things. But can I kiss (not with my mouth closed) with braces?
Please help. I need to have some answers soon. I have to got back in a few days and I want to think these anwers over.
I think you should definitely get braces. They really can help your teeth, and you will so regret it if you don't get them. Your teeth might not be bad now, but if they get worse as you get older, you might have to get braces as an adult. And no one wants that ;)
I don't know about the making out thing, but I doubt you'll be known as a metal mouth. At my school, every other kid has braces, and pretty much all the most popular kids have them. Of course, every school is different, but I doubt you'd get made fun of.

I'm a 13 year old girl going into 8th grade, and i am getting a new backpack. I was wondering if an llbean one would be out of style or babyish? If so what other kind do you reccomend, and if not, what color should I get. I was thinking pink but is that kind of childish?
L.L. Bean is fine for an 8th grader. And pink isn't childish, as long as it isn't gaudy and floral. But I wouldn't recommend getting it monogrammed :)

I have a decently well habit of studying. I pay attention in school, get A's and B's on the notes and homework assignments I do. I pass with class participation as well. But every time I take a test or quiz my mind goes totally blank. Like at that time every thing that I learned that I was needed to know for the test or quiz is gone. I try so hard to get the memory back, but it fails. So I end up failing the test or quiz. What I don't get is why this is happening. However, I do have a high anxiety and stress problem so it could be partly from that.
Any suggestions, tips, or information to help me do better on tests in this situation?
And please do not say something like "I don't know; go to a Doctor or Psychologist" because that's not what I am looking for.

You should definitely talk to your teachers about this. They could give you really helpful tips and they might even cut you some slack if you blank out on a test.
In the mean time, you should just try to relax when you take tests. Take deep breaths. Remind yourself that if you don't do well, it isn't the end of the world.
When you study, do you cram the night before? Apparently if you study only immediately before a test, the information can fly out of your brain. So make sure you study everyday, starting a week or so before your test.
Another thing you could try is eating a good breakfast in the morning. It's ideal to eat eggs, but any proteins (including meats, peanut butter, or cheese- even cold pizza) will help you out.

For sad songs, I would definitely recommend "Transatlanticism" or "We Have The Facts And We're Voting Yes." Both are awesome, amazing albums.

So this year I get to learn a langauge && I picked French. does anybody know any tips? or know any awesome sites that can help me?

Although I don't study French, I do take Spanish, and I assume you learn them basically the same way.
Something that helps me remember Spanish is by making a song out of it. Just pick and catchy tune and put some French words to it. Also, if you know any French songs (the only one I can think of is Lady Marmalade, haha), think of those lyrics when taking tests and stuff. I always remember how to say "life" in Spanish because of "La Vida Loca" by Ricky Martin :)
Another thing you could do is make flashcards. For example, if you were learning the names of animals, you could write the French word for the animal and draw a picture of it on one side, and write the English translation on the other side. If you studyed them enough with a friend or a parent, you would grow to associate the picture of the animal with the French word.

ok so i was hanging out with some friends (girls).. and some of our guy friends were outside, so we went out there to meet them. we had just come in from the pool and we had our bathing suits on, with like towels around our bottoms. and this one guy said to me "is that a new bra- i mean bikini?"
is that an insult? or like what was he trying to say?..
As everyone else said, I think he didn't mean anything. Bikini tops do look a lot like bras, and probably to most guys they are basically the same thing. So unless he was saying it in a really blatantly mean way, it's very unlikely he was trying to unsult you. He was probably just trying to nice by noticing you got a new bathing suit :)

Someone who is low-maintenance is relaxed, easy going, laid back, etc. They go with the flow.
If you're high maintenance, you tend to require more of people and are very demanding.

im playing Sims2 for my PSP.
my goals now including make hazel a hotdog (you need cooking 2), and open up doctor nelows hide out (which you also need experience). i need to know how to earn cooking experience/etc.

I have the Sims 2 for my PC, but I'm assuming you gain skill points the same way.
There are a few ways to gain cooking skill.
-The best way: Buy a bookcase and a couch/chair. Click on the bookcase, click on "study", and click on "cooking." Once the purple bar over your sims head fills up, s/he will have gained one point. When it fills up again, s/he will have two, etc.
-The second best way: Buy a TV and a couch/chair. Click on the T.V., click "watch", click "change to...", and select "the yummy network."
-The worst/my least favorite way: Just keep clicking on the fridge and having your sim make food. Everytime they cook they earn a little bit of skill, and eventually you'll have enough points.

I'd say it doesn't matter how much you have on, as long as you still look pretty natural. If you look like your going out to a nightclub instead of just going to school, it's time to tone it down. I'm pretty sure a lot of other girls your age wear that much make-up as well.

I know this is a weird combination, but my room is basically dedicated to those two people. My walls alternate posters, first Marilyn then Ashley..etc etc. I really don't have anything but pictures/posters of them on my wall, and it's not like magazine cutouts or anything..all my pictures are framed, poster sized, and most black and white. Does this give a trashy feel to my room? I know you can't see it, but just how I described it. I mean, I have an absolute Hollywood Legend on my wall with someone who's barely had a career. But I love them bothhh.

Okay, so for school over the summer we had to read a book. This book is extremely boring and I lose interest in it fast. There is alot of big words and its like "how do i read this?" Well i start school tuesday. theres 319 pages and im on like page 140. I dont know if there anything to motivate me or help or what. But I dont know what to do!
What you could do is give yourself a reward for every chapter you read. For example, you could let yourself watch 10 minutes of T.V. or have a piece of chocolate whenever you finish a chapter. Just focus and try to get it over with.
