Cross country article

Question Posted Friday September 8 2006, 6:29 pm

Ok well i am in cross country and i am a good writer. Well our school newspaper elected me to write about cross country and there is just nothing to write about!! I mean....we run!! What else is there? i cant say.....We won the meet or something like that because we already have a program that tells ppl results to games and stuff. I'm just needing advice on what to write about (i have to write several different articles too) and maybe an example?

write about what ir REALLY takes to be in such a sport. i wa in it, and theres a lot more it takes than jsut knowing how to run. youve got time management, how to stablize your breathnig and all tha. theres so many ways a story like that could go, as long as you make it fun. then end it ith somethng like, ' so. . . do YOU have what it takes?' i think itd be kewl.

Here are some topics you could include:
-How you prepare for meets (practice, stretching, etc.)
-Interview other members of the team about why they do cross country or why they like it
-For those of us (like me) who are athletically ignorant, what exactly the difference is between track and cross country
-You could do a short bio on the coach
-Mention any records members of the team have broken

Good luck!
